#1 NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER • Jack Reacher comes to the aid of an elderly couple . . . and confronts his most dangerous opponents yet. “Jack Reacher is today’s James Bond, a thriller hero we can’t get enough of.”—Ken Follett“This is a random universe,” Reacher says. “Once in a blue moon things turn out just right.” This isn’t one of those times. Reacher is on a Greyhound bus, minding his own … times.
Reacher is on a Greyhound bus, minding his own business, with no particular place to go, and all the time in the world to get there. Then he steps off the bus to help an old man who is obviously just a victim waiting to happen. But you know what they say about good deeds. Now Reacher wants to make it right.
An elderly couple have made a few well-meaning mistakes, and now they owe big money to some very bad people. One brazen move leads to another, and suddenly Reacher finds himself a wanted man in the middle of a brutal turf war between rival Ukrainian and Albanian gangs.
Reacher has to stay one step ahead of the loan sharks, the thugs, and the assassins. He teams up with a fed-up waitress who knows a little more than she’s letting on, and sets out to take down the powerful and make the greedy pay. It’s a long shot. The odds are against him. But Reacher believes in a certain kind of justice . . . the kind that comes along once in a blue moon.
NAMED ONE OF THE BEST BOOKS OF THE YEAR BY EVENING STANDARD

Incredibly intricate plot and timely subject matter. Russians, Ukranians, fake news, plus gangs, loan sharking, high cost of health care, and of course, justice, Reacher style. This latest book had Reacher using guns and bullets instead of his fists, maybe because the enemy was that much more dangerous. And Reacher’s stream of consciousnous narrative makes this uniquely Child. Hard to put down.

Jack Reacher goes undercover as elderly Aaron Shevicks to help him pay off a loan shark. Reacher becomes entangled with the Ukrainian and Albanian mobsters while trying to recover Mr. Shevicks money and inadvertently starts a war between the two gangs with Reacher in the middle. This crime fiction novel kept me captivated.
Really good. Love his writing and this is a great read! Also look for my son’s self published book, due in March, False Assurances. A good follow on ready to Lee’s work!
Another Jack Reacher great one. Follow Jack as he takes on the bad guys and still finds time for some romance
Pure Jack Reacher
A definite Lee Child, action packed book
Can’t beat any Jack Reacher
Although I always enjoy Lee Child’s Jack Reacher novels I thought this one had too high a body count for this character. Usually tough but not murderous, Reacher seemed out of character being so casual about shooting so many people. Still a fun read.
Another Reacher saga. They’re all good
Maybe not his best but definitely worth a look
I think I have read ALL previous.. However, disappointed in this.. Not one of his best. The body count became hard to keep up with.
If you love Reacher, you love Reacher.
As usual, it becomes impossible to see how Reacher is ever going to solve these problems; and as usual, he does, in ways that are both blunt force and crafty. If would be great to get a new original series from Lee. To see him open his creative powers on a new protagonist. But then who will bring out the new reacher book every year? A daughter he teases could be the answer.
Classic Jack Reacher. If you’re a fan, don’t miss it!
I’m a huge Lee Child fan, and this book did not disappoint.
More Reacher
I (seriously) counted the days until this book was released. 🙂 Plenty of twists and white knuckle pages.
Ok but not one of his best!
Lee Child gets better and better. I’m addicted to Jack Reacher novels.
Not his best
