#1 NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER • Jack Reacher comes to the aid of an elderly couple . . . and confronts his most dangerous opponents yet. “Jack Reacher is today’s James Bond, a thriller hero we can’t get enough of.”—Ken Follett“This is a random universe,” Reacher says. “Once in a blue moon things turn out just right.” This isn’t one of those times. Reacher is on a Greyhound bus, minding his own … times.
Reacher is on a Greyhound bus, minding his own business, with no particular place to go, and all the time in the world to get there. Then he steps off the bus to help an old man who is obviously just a victim waiting to happen. But you know what they say about good deeds. Now Reacher wants to make it right.
An elderly couple have made a few well-meaning mistakes, and now they owe big money to some very bad people. One brazen move leads to another, and suddenly Reacher finds himself a wanted man in the middle of a brutal turf war between rival Ukrainian and Albanian gangs.
Reacher has to stay one step ahead of the loan sharks, the thugs, and the assassins. He teams up with a fed-up waitress who knows a little more than she’s letting on, and sets out to take down the powerful and make the greedy pay. It’s a long shot. The odds are against him. But Reacher believes in a certain kind of justice . . . the kind that comes along once in a blue moon.

Always a good story but way too much procedural detail.
All Reacher books are good!
I have read many Reacher books and generally have enjoyed them. Unfortunately I found this one sort of like a “mail it in efforts.” Sadly the whole story line seems to have run out of gas. It might make a good beach read but don’t pay full price.
Lee Child is a great writer and his Jack Reacher is the premier good/bad guy in thriller fiction. This story has all the elements of a great Reacher story although the body count is a bit high.
Love these books!
“Warning Spoilers” I loved this book’s storyline. I loved the action in this story. I felt sorry for the couple . I loved Reacher’s character. I loved the ending. Awesome job Mr. Child.
Another typical Jack Reacher tale. But enjoyable.
Just OK, not one of his better ones.
For me, the irresistible Jack Reacher is back and at his best as the story begins with him riding on a Greyhound bus, kind of cruising along going no place in particular. Without giving away any spoilers. the plot is action-packed, full of suspense and a real page turner. The characters are very likable and relatable.
Possibly the worst Jack Reacher ever. Does not live up to his hero role. Suddenly turning soft and weak and needing a lady’s help.
Not quite up to his other books, but still excellent.
Lee Child has created a character for everyone in Jack Reacher. He is a modern-day Robin Hood, Equalizer, and Dirty Harry wrapped together. Blue Moon’s intriguing plot provides Reacher with a killing field so large that he steps out of character in this story, becoming a killing machine like John Wick. Surprising to me. I prefer the Reacher who only kills when he needs to. Still a fast-moving read with turns so sudden, you need a harness, not just a seatbelt.
I love the Reacher series, but after two dozen(?) books, these are starting to get repetitive.
Jack Reacher is one tough guy! Keep them coming!
Reading Reacher books is the nutritional equivalent of eating popcorn for breakfast, but I still love them. Over-the-top mayhem and violence but you know the good guys will win. If you’re new to Jack Reacher and his life, I recommend starting with THE KILLING FLOOR, the first Reacher book. And ignore those movies with Tom Cruise. I couldn’t turn off my sense of disbelief long enough to think of him as the massive, unhandsome former Army MP.
I normally really enjoy these Jack Reacher books but, whilst this is well-written and has pace, I thought the plot was verging on the ridiculous and had far too much gratuitous killing to be credible. Perhaps it’s little surprise that Lee Child has announced he’s giving up writing.
I love Jack Reacher
Typical Lee Child’s book with a bit of a turn!
I love all of Lee Child’s Jack Reacher books. This is one of the best. His books are great and Jack Reacher is one of my favorite characters.
Read them all
