#1 NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER • Jack Reacher comes to the aid of an elderly couple . . . and confronts his most dangerous opponents yet. “Jack Reacher is today’s James Bond, a thriller hero we can’t get enough of.”—Ken Follett“This is a random universe,” Reacher says. “Once in a blue moon things turn out just right.” This isn’t one of those times. Reacher is on a Greyhound bus, minding his own … times.
Reacher is on a Greyhound bus, minding his own business, with no particular place to go, and all the time in the world to get there. Then he steps off the bus to help an old man who is obviously just a victim waiting to happen. But you know what they say about good deeds. Now Reacher wants to make it right.
An elderly couple have made a few well-meaning mistakes, and now they owe big money to some very bad people. One brazen move leads to another, and suddenly Reacher finds himself a wanted man in the middle of a brutal turf war between rival Ukrainian and Albanian gangs.
Reacher has to stay one step ahead of the loan sharks, the thugs, and the assassins. He teams up with a fed-up waitress who knows a little more than she’s letting on, and sets out to take down the powerful and make the greedy pay. It’s a long shot. The odds are against him. But Reacher believes in a certain kind of justice . . . the kind that comes along once in a blue moon.

Sadly this is a tale out of today’s environment. Can’t help but admire Reacher’s concern and compassion for this couple caught up in a world they don’t understand and don’t know how to deal with.
Not my favorite Lee Child book but it was still good.
Jack Reacher at his best! Very enjoyable.
Action packed, great read
Not the best in the series. A big dose of the gratuitous violence and disregard for life that was in the first few.
JAck Reacher is always entertaing.
Usual taut Reacher thriller.
I always enjoy the Jack Reacher novels, they are an easy read. This one went a little overboard on Mr. Reacher’s ability to dispose of the bad guys.
Reacher is a delightful read every time
Jack Reacher is his usual self.
Another great Reacher book hard to put down!
Jack Reacher is simply the best character ever!
As usual, jack reacher doesn’t disappoint.
This is one of the best Jack Reacher novels. Lots of action and a great story line. I really enjoyed it.
Can’t beat Jack Reacher
Jack Reacher is no longer the fun character he used to be. He is now a collection of fighting techniques with detailed boring minutiae lost in a highly predictable, unnecesserily violent story line. For the sake of Child’s previous books I did finish the book but remained unimpressed.
Hard to put down.
Love that guy!
very good!
Jack Reacher doesn’t like bad guys. He’s a big man, with a big heart. He is always willing to help people in trouble, or who have been ripped off, or taken advantage of. This brings him into contact with thieves, rip off artists. and dirtbags. So, he bangs heads, kicks ass, and takes names. This always makes for a good read. Jack is smart, funny, and fearless. If you like an action packed, realistic, read with a little humor, you will love tis book.
