I loved this book. Such wonderful characters to share a long flight with me. You’ll enjoy this book in the Blue Mountain Series…
I love how this book is written and how you feel like your there and part of the family. There are sad parts but mostly it is great that this family is finally coming back together and being happy.
Flawless!
Complete Perfection!!
I’m amazed at how flawlessly and effortlessly Tess Thompson pulls you in! It’s magical how fast she transports you into the story. Into a new life. Tess Thompson had me turning pages as fast as I could. With some twists I never saw coming, and a swoon worthy love story. This book completely consumed me. It made me fall in love with love.
I am head over heels for these characters and all they’ve been through.
Absolute MUST read!
Blue Ink is the 3rd book in the Blue Mountain Series, which highlights love at first sight and soul mates, and I loved every word of it. I love following a series from book one onward and getting to know the characters and their journeys. Charlotte and Ardens’s story captured me from chapter one. Enter Mrs. Lanigan and I was hooked. I loved the humor, the forty shades of pink love scenes that didn’t make me blush, but still made me hooked on their love story. I have learned when reading Tess Thompson’s books to not start in the PM or I will be up all night because I couldn’t put it down. This book was no exception. Can’t wait for book 4!!!
This is book 3 in the Blue Mountain Series. This story takes us back to the Lanigian Family in Idaho. This story centers on Arden. He seems to be the brooding brother. He has their mother living with him. She seems to be loosing her vision. She is a cranky old lady. In comes Charlotte, a friend of Bliss’ to help out the family. Bliss is her friend and former employer. Charlotte doesn’t let Riona run her off. She is feisty with the Arden’s mother. They seem to have a love hate, those more love relationship. As she is taking care of Riona, a box of letters arrives. Charlotte reads these letters to Riona. Love letters between her parents for many years ago. We learn about Riona’s parents and family. While this story is being read, Arden and Charlotte find themselves falling more in and deeper into love. Soulmates? She seems to have the window to peoples souls. She saw into the Elk’s soul. Which I totally loved that scene.
This book has its share of shady character. We also get to see past ones make an appearance.
I loved this family and this book. It is so well written, I felt I was on that mountain with this family.
I highly recommend this book and series to all.
Touching and beautifully written series!
We are reintroduced to Charlotte Wilde, the dependable assistant to Bliss Heywood. When Bliss’s mother-in-law needs a companion and someone to help her out during the day, Bliss thought immediately about Charlotte. Charlotte has been a struggling author trying to make big break. She is broke after her ex-boyfriend stole her money and left, leaving her with nothing.
This opportunity seemed perfect, a place to stay, make some money and have a change of scenery to work on her writing. All Charlotte has to do is help care for Mrs. Lanigan. Easy, right? Well, her first encounter with the infamous Mrs. Lanigan told her right away that it was not going to be easy.
Meeting the handsome Ardan Lanigan was an added bonus. Charlotte felt the chemistry immediate upon meeting him. What ensures is a quick courtship and a lesson in never giving up.
A blend of humor, mystery, redemption, love, and friendship, Tess Thompson’s Blue Ink, the third book in the Blue Mountain series, focuses on Ardan Lanigan’s and Charlotte Wilde’s story. Charlotte, a down-on-her-luck mystery writer and former assistant to Bliss Heywood, is hired to help Mrs. Riona Lanigan’s, Ardan’s mom, recovery. Told in part in epistolary format, Mrs. Lanigan’s parents’ letters provide clues to the family’s secret past. Charlotte and Ardan, along with the Lanigans, find that unexpected events help each character get to know themselves better, and in the wisdom of Charlotte, “Sometimes it takes another’s view of us to see the truth of who we really are.”
Blue Ink is the third installment in Tess Thompson’s Blue Mountain series. I was new to reading Tess Thompson books when I started this series and I have been pleasantly surprised. Her family centric dramas with a twist of suspense woven in keep me reading long into the night. The character development is top notch. I feel like I know these characters personally and their appearances in and out of the various books is a delight.
Blue Ink features the matriarch of the family. Her sharp wit and soft heart hidden under her prickly outer shell was so fun to read. She is one of my characters so far!
I can’t wait for book #4!
Another fantastic installment of the Blue Mountain series! Charlotte has been down on her luck
after her last romance left her broke and without a job when her friend offers her a position to help be a caregiver to her difficult mother-in-law. As they overcome their differences they find a new friend in each other reading old letters they found. Charlotte finds herself falling for her son until something happens that is life changing for them both. Will they be able to move past this or will they give up? You’ll have to read this to find out!
Remember Charlotte? Bliss’s assistant in Portland? She is one of the main characters in this third installment of the Blue Mountain series. Bliss invites Charlotte to come to Idaho to take care of Mrs. Lanigan who is recovering from hip surgery and has also recently lost her sight. Mrs. Lanigan is not the easiest person to like, but Charlotte has a way with people and manages to charm her way into Mrs. Lanigan’s good graces. Charlotte and Lanigan brother, Ardan, who Mrs. Lanigan is staying with, have instant chemistry, almost like they’ve known each other all their lives.
As is typical in this series, there’s a little mystery along with the sweet and lightly steamy romance. Also, we get to check in with Ciaran and Bliss.
I’m really enjoying this series and looking forward to the final installment, Blue String, coming September 1st. These books could be read as stand-alones, but to get the full story, it’s best to read them in order.
There’s a quote in this book that pretty much sums up this series, and actually the world right now…”Because the world needs more love stories. Especially now when hatred wants to kill love in all its forms.”
I have been reading Tess Thompson books for quite a while & as usual, this one didn’t disappoint! It is a romance with a touch of mystery. Just when It looks like a ‘happily ever after ‘ novel, events take a serious turn! You won’t be sorry you opened this one!
I kid you not…every book I read by author, Tess Thompson, is just as good, or better than the last! I have read many of her books and have not once been disappointed! Blue Ink is a great book about family, love, and dealing with the difficult circumstances that life thrusts at you.
I have tead every novel written by Tess .. her books are. Pleasing like sitting down to a good meal
I absolutely loved this book. There are really no words to describe my love for this book and it’s author. The characters are wonderful and the little mystery that unfolds and a little supernatural in this story give it just enough to make it a whimsical, fun read. I highly recommend this book.
I enjoyed Blue Ink. I loved Charlotte and Mrs. Lanigan’s interactions. I loved how realistic and positive at the same time Charlotte was with Mrs. Lanigan. I enjoyed the mystery the letters provided. I did not care for the Felicity story line, though. Overall, I liked Blue Ink but it was not my favorite of the series. I am happy Arden has found his soulmate and Mrs. Lanigan has been “tamed”ish.
First off this is an interesting almost haunting and different from the rest of the series but it so fits Ardan’s personality to a tee. Of course he would be the one to have an “other worldly” type of build on his capture by the love bug. He is the quiet, thoughtful writer, the dreamer of the brothers so yeah this book fits him perfectly. Moonstone and her predictions, give him just what he needs to be other than his norm and brings out an Ardan no one knows exist and I think he even surprises himself. His book is more spiritual than the others and it all works really well but it does require that you walk on the wild side a bit to enjoy his story which also includes his mother, the past, voices and dreams. I love the way the author interweaves it all, even the unexpected visitor, works well. Nothing is simple for this author and the dip into the past with the letters just adds the cherry on top. I love that his journey is so different from the others. Charlotte is a breath of fresh air that brings it all together and makes this story work. I loved it and the spin the author gives us I can’t wait to see what happens to the last woman standing when it’s Teagan’s turn, the last sibling to get tagged and bagged by love.
Tess Thompson is one of my favorite authors and her Blue Mountain series is wonderful. Blue Ink the third in the series is a standalone, but having read the first two made it more enjoyable for me. I hope there will be a fourth book featuring the Lanigan brother’s sister.
Well, I was about to start reading another series when I found this book is available which made me so happy because I’ve been so impatiently waiting for it! So I had to read it first which I did and it was so worth all the waiting! I loved it so much. Such a delightful book! And the third story of Blue Mountain’s was just as amazing as the previous two! Beautifully written Charlotte Wilde and Ardan Lanigan’s love story wrapped up in a mystery of family history repeating itself, revealing secrets and more!
Love Tess Thompson’s writing style which never dissappoints me! Highly recommend this book and this series!
Loved it! Would love to read more of her books. Characters so real.
