Great read magic and love
It was a nice book. Not enough that I bought more but nice.
I enjoyed this book immensely. For me, it checked all the boxes. I look forward to reading more of Ms. Rice’s books.
This is a fantastic author with great story-telling skills. I loved this book.
Fun book with twists and turns. Entertaining with a good story line.
Good summer beach read.
One of my favorite books! Have told many people to read it. Makes you feel so good!
For those who are like me and love ‘Beauty and the Beast’ will love this book! A modern day story that will tug on your heart!
It started out a little slow, but was a good read and made me not want to put it down.
Overall, this was a delightful romance, and I especially loved the female character, Pippa. Seth’s character was fascinating, although a bit murky and at times I found his temper and reactions to be overdone at best, if not forced. Pippa’s previous abusive relationship was written as center stage, when in reality it was pretty much the gun that was never fired, and used only to add plot confusion.
Patricia Rice never disappoints.
Absolutely loved all these characters… the good guys AND the bad guys.
Very interesting read
Ok read. However, it goes from one POV to another and that’s great, but then it comes from the 6 year-old’s POV, which the the child’s thinking is way too mature, it way only once, but seemed weird. Also got the sense that it was re-written half way through and they style changed. It’s a nice premise for a story, but just so-so for me.
A favorite. I have read and enjoyed many books by Patricia Rice. They always make me hope there is another book to follow because I like the characters and want to know what happens next in their lives.
This story was very incongruous. The way the characters were described versus the way they behaved was totally opposite. It just didn’t fit the story or add up.
Pippa escaped from an abusive boyfriend and needs to find a job. After interviewing and then hired by a man who seems to have a dark past, Pippa is happy to be behind the walls of this recluse’s fortress. After meeting his son and calming his almost temper tandrum, she finds solitude and safety for herself. After near fatal accidents, it is hard to determine who is in more danger Pippa or her employer.
Modern version of beauty and the beast
Very entertaining. Lots of different story lines and I didn’t guess who the villain was which kept me interested to the end
