In the last book from this series we’re seeing Julian leaving everything and everyone behind, running away from Kristin and their past together. As Julian drives out west, he randomly stops at a roadside tavern and runs into some people from his past. There he meets Lyssa Lakin his past romance, spending time there together their friendship grows and their romance is being rekindled. However, the past always finds a way to catch on you – so Julian’s past comes back to haunt him and when an old enemy shows up in town, Julian knows a showdown is imminent.
The audiobook begins with Julian who left the organization he worked for and while he is driving west he is really considering he should just drive into the sunrise and end his life. While driving west he stops at a roadside tavern and runs into Lyssa Lakin – a woman he knew from his past, and old flame. While he’s hiding away from everyone his friendship with Lyssa grows more and more day to day until their romance is rekindled and they love each other. While Julian is trying to stay away from everyone he knows, the past catches up on him and when an old enemy shows up in town, Julian knows a showdown is imminent.
I’ve got mixed feelings about this audiobook from a lot of points. First, Julian left everyone because Kristin was playing with everyone’s feelings including his. Whenever she needed him he was there not thinking about his feelings that he still loved her as Calista/Kristin, if she would’ve called him he would’ve shown no matter what. Second – she’s bonded to Trent and pregnant with him after their rape date (I still consider it a rape since she was sleeping when they “slept” together) and instead of focusing on her pregnancy and Trent, the first thing she does when she returns to the police to look over old cases is to somehow track Julian. Pregnant in 7 months she drives where Julian is, just to tell him she misses him and loves him and was worried about him and this is the moment where he goes crazy and is rude against her and tells her he doesn’t want to see her – which I agree because she really gloats on the fact that Trent, Alex, and Julian were all around her, I felt she is so shallow at times and didn’t think on everyone else other than her own interests – the more men the better.
However, at the same time they all share some type of bond with her: Julian from when she was Calista, Alexander from when she was Kristin and Trent is her actual boyfriend/husband so their relationship towards the end of the book is no one other than the strong bond of friendship. Lyssa on the other hand was one of the characters that I found very annoying, she took Julian in with a broken heart and broken trust and very hurt and instead of giving him the time to heal after 1 month she was giving ultimatums about if he’s not open up to her they’re over – her father, on the other hand, was very wise and knew what to tell Lyssa. Lyssa gave me the impression she’s way too jealous and way worst than Kristin.
When the threat comes to town all the characters involved in this audiobook are working together for the last time and everything ends well. Julian remains with Lyssa, Alexander is with someone else and Trent and Kristin are still together soon to be parents. There were things up and down throughout this series some I loved, some I hated them but overall it’s a nice series to listen to because it’s a different type of paranormal romance and fantasy book with vampires.

OMG. What a fabulous final book in this brilliant series. I just kept reading and reading and reading. Could not put it down. All the gang is here. Living. Loving. Fighting. Rescuing. Getting shot. Running away. Damn, this author is good.
Blue Bloods Final Destiny (My Blood Runs Blue #5) was a great read by Stacy Eaton. Julia walked away from his job, his friends, and Kristin. He drives west and finds himself at a roadside tavern. He runs into people he knows from his past. Lyssa is raising her 15-year old daughter while helping her father at the tavern. Lyssa and Julian have a past and she is still attracted to him. As their friendship grows, their past romance is rekindled. But Julian’s past and what he’s left behind comes back to ruin everything. I really enjoyed reading Julian and Lyssa’s story and can’t wait to read more by Stacy Eaton.
This is the final book in the My Blood Runs Blue series. I have listened to all 5 books and loved each one of them. The characters have become important to me and I have become invested in their stories. Stacy Eaton wrote this final book to give Julian the story he needed and to tie up the story perfectly.
Julian has needed to find himself for a little while now and in Blue Blood Final Destiny he manages to find himself, save Kristin, and reconnect with some of his history. I enjoyed learning more about Julian, seeing him come to terms with some of his past, and figure out what would make him happy in the present and the future.
While I am sad this series is over, I am thrilled that I got listen to Alex Black’s voice read me Stacy Eaton’s words.
The team is back! Another read with Kristin and everyone we want to know more about. Questions answered we never knew we had. A great read.

I enjoyed this story. It was nice to learn more about Julian and Lyssa is a great match for him.
Julian decides to leave VMF and the life he’s lead after he loses the love of his life for the 2nd time! While on the road he runs into Lissa – a fling from his past. Once again romance and suspense follow him! Great read to see if Julian gets his HEA!
