Kristin is happier than she’s been in a long time and her new status in life has her solving crimes faster and better than she ever could before. Although, her life with Alex is having a bit of trouble due to her reluctance to complete the transition. Then her two worlds collide when Alex goes missing and she’s having to deal with the emotions that are threatening to overwhelm her. Her house is filling up with people who want to help her, a strawberry blond woman appears at all the wrong times and Trent and Gabe have entered the picture to help with the search.
Kirsten’s life has become even more complicated with some stunning twists and turns that readers certainly don’t see coming. Secrets are revealed, bad guys seem to be abundant and while Alex missing, the other guys in her life seem determine to help her in a way that will either prove to be a great thing or prove to destroy her life with Alex. Emotions run high and are quite turbulent throughout this story and readers can’t help be become caught up in all the turmoil. This series definitely has to read in sequence to get the full understanding of what’s happening and to get the most enjoyment, but one thing is for certain, this fast paced plot never has a dull moment as the passions and chemistry explode and the danger escalates throughout this exhilarating and life altering story.
Kristin is back at work but someone dangerous is threatening her life. Alex wants to protect her even if it means to break the bond between them. A new exciting book in the paranormal series.
I’ve received a copy of this audiobook in exchange for an honest review
The 3rd audiobook starts with Kristin going after a burglar when she feels a strong pull from Alexander. She’s been taking extra shifts, working more, and trying to ignore them. After mating and bonding in the 2nd audiobook things don’t go so well between the two. Alexander wants to complete the mating phase, meaning they need to have a child together, but Kristin is not pleased about that though. She’s still young and has a long career ahead of her, and having kids is really NOT on her mind at this moment.
The pull she feels from Alexander is stronger and weird, thinking he wants once again to talk about kids, she ignores him and gets angry with him, but what she doesn’t know is that Alexander is in deep trouble, trouble that will put his life in danger and make things turn for the worst. Alex knows very well what is about to happen, and he leaves notes behind for Julian and Kristin to find.
The notes left behind by Alex suggest that either Alex or Trent (who we meet eventually during a very strange event) needs to break the bond between Alex and Kristin. Trent is arrogant, cocky and so much younger than Kristin. Both Trent and Julian knowing very well what Alex might be going, decide to follow his instructions and try to break their bond. They together come up with a plan to break the bond. While Kristin, Trent, and her human friends go out to a barbecue so she can take her mind off, during this event Trent is drugging Kristin and tells her friends she fell asleep and needs to take her home. Home, Trent is supposed to break their bond-breaking the bond means he needs to feed on her, and she needs to feed on him, but things don’t go as planned.
While she’s half asleep, half awake he tries to feed on her when he hears her calling his name. At that moment he goes crazy, he can’t keep his hands away from her and they start making out, while she’s half-asleep/half-awake then they end up having sex, and instead of him breaking the bond he ends up mated with her. This is where things got uncomfortable for me and very weird, Trent practically had sex with Kristin while she was asleep/drugged, he basically raped her – even tho her actions showed she wanted that, she wasn’t even awake or fully conscious of what’s happening, and instead of being furious in the morning she was just shocked of what happened and how did that happen. And still – after this incident, she was attracted to Trent and started to fantasize about them together and having kids and wearing his name – that kind of shocked me and I was like what the actual fuck?
The 3rd book does have amazing parts that keep you on your toes, I found it very interesting when came to her work. How she’s assisting with many things, not just to catch a burglar but doing CPR how she’s giving the parents the bad news about their kids dying. Her life behind all of this drama as a policewoman is amazing – really nice seeing that, it makes you feel you’re on a Police Show without seeing it but listening to it.
However, at the same time, the audiobook has so many things that don’t quite make sense to me. I thought the bond between the 2 vampires involved should’ve been stronger and not so easily broken as we see throughout the story. Another thing that I didn’t like about the first book that keeps repeating is that the story progresses from one side of a pov, then we’re being pulled back to someone else’s pov and we get the same events but said from someone else’s side until we’re back in the present – this is annoying, to be honest. I don’t want to hear the same events repeated twice, I want to see how he feels regarding THAT event, going back and forth made me confused and I really wanted to just move forward.
The book is also a reverse harem since Alex, Julian, and Trent are all about Kristin which I guess is not my preferred type of genre, It makes the audiobook feel a little bit too forced – everyone falling for her like she’s honey, instead of things taking slow and developing along the way. I do understand they’re vampires and their feelings are so heightened and their senses are different than humans but I wished the book would’ve focused more on Alex’s issue and how they try to help him than Kristin and Trent basically cheating and getting raped. It is an adult book for mature audiences but some scenes just felt out of place.

Kristin is back. This time around we get more and so does her friends. She reveal much to them and others see a new side of her they were not expecting. Julian, Trent and Alex are coming along for the ride. The world get richer and a little deeper. We find out things that only make us want to find out more about them all.
Another installment in the My Blood Runs Blue series and Stacy Eaton gives more new details and more to experience. While Alex Black continues to bring to life the voices of each character with clarity. I have enjoyed all of Alex narrations. This one was no different. Thank you for the vivid imagery created by his voice and Stacy’s words.
Kristin (previously Calista) is now mated to Alex who is now head of the VMF. But they hardly ever see each other as they live so far apart. Alex is persistently asking her to move to be with him and to complete their mating. By Kristin becoming pregnant. But she loves her job and doesn’t want to give it up. A kidnapping. Really bad men. A concrete cell. Beatings. Another bonding that turns into a mating instead. Who? You’ll just have to read it to find out.
Blue Blood for Life (My Blood Runs Blue #3) was a great read by Stacy Eaton. Kristin took a month off work and seems happier than she’s been in a long time. She now seems to solve crimes faster and better than ever before. Alex goes missing and Kristin has to tell her friends about her secrets. Julian and Gabe try to locate Alex with Kristin. Trent winds up in Fawn Hollow and he may be the only person who can do what Alex asked. Kristin finds herself drawn to Trent. They uncover a connection between her job and Alex’s disappearance. I really enjoyed this book and can’t wait to read more by Stacy Eaton.
I enjoyed the story, and the world building for vampires was really interesting. However, the style of writing where the chapters were constantly repeated but from a different person’s viewpoint got to be really annoying and spoilt the book for me. I also found some things were really over-explained or over-descripted.
Kristen and Alex are mated but have not completed the process when he is kidnapped and the VMF need to find out where he is being held whilst keeping Kristen safe.
The suspense in the story was good, and it contained a great twist at the end.
This is the third book in the My Blood Runs Blue Series, an amazing paranormal vampire romance. I love this Series! The story continues where the last book left off. Kristin, Alex, Julian, Gabe, and Trent are wonderful characters. The storyline is suspenseful and action packed, filled with unpredictable twists and turns. Alex Black did a great job with the narration. I enjoyed it! Looking forward to listen to the next installment, Mixing the Blue Blood, Olivia and Gabriel’s story.

My Blood Runs Blue, Book 3

Stacy Eaton delivers another fantastic book in her awesome “My Blood Runs Blue” series. I am loving this series, the characters are amazing, an imaginative yet realistic paranormal beings whom live amongst us mere mortals. Kristin is as awesome as ever in this book, she is with her mate, Alex, and is one step away from becoming a full-fledged Vampire. She already gained a lot of the strengths a vampire has, she is stronger, faster and her senses are sharper which has been helping in her crime fighting job. Alex wants her move to NY and work with the VMF, but Kristin is not ready to leave her job and department, she wants to stay as long as possible. Alex is investigating a case of another rouge vampire, Burke, he must be getting close, not only was he threaten but threats were made against Kristen too. He never got a chance to tell her, he was abducted on his way to see her. He also summoned Julian to return back to base, upon arrival he found Alex missing, but found the letters he left, one for him the other for Kristin. Alex left him strict instructions, that he or Trent do what they had to do to protect Kristen, including breaking Alex’s bond to spare her pain. Julian still struggled with his feelings for her so he asked Trent to step in. Trent is a newcomer to the series, he is a vampire who Alex trusts and is back in. There are several other newcomers introduced in this book as well, Vampires, some good guys some not so good, we also see more of Kristen’s friends too. There are some interesting turn of events with bonding, mating as well as family ties. I loved how everything plays out in this book, it is a cleverly plotted action packed story with plenty of drama, angst, mystery, mind-blowing twists and turns, take you to the edge of your seat thrilling and suspenseful moments, heartfelt and emotional ones and some romance. Stacy Eaton, thank you for another fantastic book, it was a thrilling ride. I love how you masterfully work all the different genres into this series, also love your unique take on paranormal and how you keep it all real. I am looking forward to what happens next in “My Blood Runs Blue”.
I listened to the Audible edition, Alex Black is doing a great job portraying the characters, bringing them to life, humanizing them, giving them their voices, personality and attitude. Great job with Trent’s accent too. He sets the perfect tone for the story, captures the characters emotions and projects them, as well as the drama of the story, into his performance. Thank you for another terrific listen

My Blood Runs Blue, Book 3

This series is so exciting! Each book in the series just keeps me engaged and wanting more. Kristen is loving her job and her life. She and Alex have been together, but she has still not committed fully to him yet. Now with him gone missing, things are a mess. But Alex has sent reinforcements to protect her. Trent and Julian are there, and they have a job. Protect Kristen at all costs, But there are always costs. And this is no exception. This action packed story has so many twists and turns, it kept me guessing the entire time. The feelings Kristen and Alex have, Julian’s faithfulness and Trent coming help all aid in the shocking results! I loved the different points of view from all the characters adding another layer of depth to the story. I am loving this vampire series, I normally do not listen to paranormal, but this is so different, it’s a pleasure.
Alex Black continues his narration of the story with the variety of voices we have gotten to know. I appreciate the use of the consistent voices, making the story flow and the ease of knowing who is speaking. It is an enjoyable listen.
