BLUE BALLSTruth: A painful condition caused by a prolonged state of sexual arousal without release. Myth: Only affects males.SARAHI’m beyond frustrated with the man who’s left me high and very far from dry. Multiple times. But, somehow, even though I’m not interested in a relationship, Mr. Tall-Dark-and-Handsome keeps me coming back for more—one crazy, sexual debacle after the next. Come hell or … Tall-Dark-and-Handsome keeps me coming back for more—one crazy, sexual debacle after the next.
Come hell or high water, the stars will align, and the release will be out of this world.
JACK
I’m captivated with the woman who’s left me sixty-nine shades of blue, and she’s only in this for one thing. The first time, I blew it—and not in the good way—but I’m going to ensure we finally see it through. I need to put an end to this “plague” of sexual calamities and prove to Sarah that we can have more.
It’s time to grab the universe by the balls and show it who’s boss.

Pleasantly Surprised!
I was gifted this book, and I have to say I had a great Sunday kicking back and having a fun, lighthearted read with few giggles and a touch of angst. This is a rom-com that can come across as a little over the top, but I feel it was just enough to keep me turning the page.
I loved Jack, but I’m partial to the nerdy hot guys. He can bring me chocolates anytime! Sarah was confident on the outside, but just as mushy on the inside as her favorite candy. She just needed a guy to show her he was in it for the long haul. And I feel Jack pulled out all the stops to show Sarah that she truly was his Sunshine.
I haven’t read Maggie and Ry’s story, Clam Jam yet, but you can be sure I’ll be on to that quick smart. I was very grateful to be given this book and I recommend it for a playful and upbeat book.
Just as hilariously funny and sweet as Clam Jam! Heck, I’d even classify it as ridiculously funny. Blue balls? Yep, it’s a definite condition and it not only affects males. Just ask Sarah, or Sunshine, about it. She’ll be happy to share. Oh, wait…I guess she did share the whole thing in this book. An added bonus is that Ry and Maggie make appearances in this one so you get to catch up on them, too. Blue Balls was another win, all the way around.
This book was really funny but also had a lot of heart and emotion. Although Sarah’s constant hesitation and her pushing away from relationships got a bit annoying. It took a long time for her to finally get over that. That’s the main reason this wasn’t a 5 star for me. I loved the story otherwise and loved Jack. Will definitely read more by this author.
I’m pretty sure these balls went from a tinge of blue to aquamarine and then a navy blue almost black. Even with that disturbing imagery, you are going to read it aren’t you…
Knowing full well there is suffering and some of the most inopportune shenanigans, you are willingly going to pick up this book and partake- probably even enjoy, this man’s suffering…
What kind of monster are you!?!?! Lol, I laughed, winced, and was downright appalled at the ability the author had to make this the most severe and terrorizing case of blue balls. I had run out of optional interruptions long before RC Boldt. I think she would have gone on too..but feared for the health and sanity of Jack and Sarah…more Jack. (Probably with an evil gleam in her eyes too)
Wildly entertaining and the perfect distraction from your own “situation”…I recommend chocolates and salt and vinegar chips to sustain you. You will have trouble putting it down so make sure they are handy…
This is a read parts to your husband as he eyeballs you from across the room because you are giggling out loud kind of fun. I was pulled in instantly from the dedication and loved it right up through the excellent epilogue.
Along with the humor came a great love story. One that has some bumps in the road that we can relate to (or maybe that was just me since my life is pretty hilarious sometimes).
Sarah could basically be me. Chocolate lover, she’s a perv (her inner dialogue is awesome) and she is a smart ass, so I pretty much love her.
Jack is the nerd in school that grew in to absolute perfection. He is romantic, attentive and sexy.
You will find your self rooting for these two as they go back and forth on their quest to end their blue balls dilemma.
“If I have to suffer blue balls for the rest of my life, there’s no other woman I want by my side.”
Oh Jack…I love you and your blue balls 😉
This is the story about how Sarah Matthews and Jack Westbrook finally get it on despite their own series of unfortunate events.
When Sarah finds out Jack is officially “back in the market”, she doesn’t hesitate to let him know she’s interested in getting better acquainted. Issue is that Sarah doesn’t do relationships and is only looking for Mr. Right Now while sex on legs Jack is not opposed to long-term.
This was my first read by this author and it only made me regret not having found her before. The story is hilarious, full of belly laughs, well written and sweet to no end.
Sarah is a grab the bull by the horns girl in most aspects of her life, but she’s closed herself to the idea of marriage and family. She also has inner conversations with her body parts so it’s kind of 50-50 as to where her sanity is. Jack on the other hand is a nerd at heart, an awkward child who bloomed into a handsome, successful and sexy guy who still gets nervous if he really likes a girl.
Their relationship is funny and explosive. The chemistry is off the charts and I found myself rooting for them until I started to feel I was getting infected by the same syndrome they suffer, if you catch my meaning. I really enjoyed the teasing and joking between them and loved every aspect of their relationship.
Blue Balls is a fun read and whether you are a fan of the rom-com, looking for a lighter read or trying to get off a funk, you will most definitely enjoy spending time with Jack and Sarah.
*Received an ARC for which I voluntarily provided an honest review*
I thought Blue Balls was a wonderful story. It is full of witty banter and believable characters. If you are a fan of romantic comedies treat yourself to Blue Balls.
REVIEW: 5 HILARIOUS STARS
“Sweet baby Moses in the river. I’m in fear of having perpetually hard nipples and soaked panties around this man. Do they have support groups for this kind of thing?”
It’s a great day when you can say any book was IT and this one was it!! I needed this book SO bad! This book has to be the best romantic comedy I have read all year. I thought Clam Jam was funny, and you can read my review HERE, but I have to admit that Blue Balls was the most absolute perfect follow up for secondary characters EVERRRR. Ever. EVER. Now, you don’t have to read Clam Jam before reading this one, but I would highly recommend that you do for a number of reasons. Mainly because Clam Jam was funny and it gives us the beginning for Jack and Sarah’s relationship….the basis for their characters.
RC Boldt is a special brand of funny. She just has this knack for putting you at ease in a situation that could be completely embarrassing, but is most definitely comical. The dynamic and relationship between Sarah and Jack was effortless. The story never dragged between the two of them and I never felt like I was waiting for it to continue on. When we were in Sarah’s POV, it was as if she was talking directly to us and I loved the way she just laid it all out there. I’m totally giggling thinking about it!! This book read like one long girls night out conversation that you can’t help but find yourself laughing at. So freaking funny.
But to Sarah’s sarcasm and wit comes Jack’s sincerity and charm. Oh, he’s witty too, don’t get me wrong. But what struck me most was his disarming character along with his honesty and integrity. He was ALL man, and he makes you just sigh because he was most definitely a gentleman under all that sex appeal. Oh! And he’s a professional button pusher with a sexy smile. Yep. He knew all the buttons to push, whether to make her laugh, smile, swoon, or melt. He pushed them all. Holy cow. I loved him SO much!! This was a hilarious account of perpetual blue balls. I laughed my way through this entire book, but more importantly….I swooned hard. Jack is what every gentleman should strive to be like. Naughty and nice. Polite and pervy. Sexy and sweet. Just perfect!
I know I keep grinding on about how funny this one was, but there was some honest depth to this one as well. I really love the way RC tells a story and she is fast becoming a must read author for me. I haven’t read anything by her I didn’t like and I have enjoyed her infusion of sincerity and comedy in all of her books. Did I make myself clear? This one was so damn funny. I can’t even explain it….just so freaking funny! But man, it was so sexy and HOT too. Perfectly balanced book for me. I highly recommend this one.
REALITY: I was giggling so bad that I ended up waking up my husband in the middle of the night. I seriously couldn’t stop. Like, shake-the-bed-while-you’re-trying-to-be-respectful-of-the-time giggling. Bahaha! This book was worth it and I couldn’t put it down! THIS IS A MUST READ BOOK and is now on my Favorites List for 2017. The title for this one was the literal definition for the WHOLE STORY….it was aptly named. This book is why I love reading. The unexpected perfection in a story like this one? RC is a great writer; witty and spontaneous, with off the cuff comedy.

Sarah and Jack, introduced by their now engaged best friends, are thrown together during wedding planning and events. While their attraction cannot be denied, the universe definitely seems to be against them. Regardless of how many times they attempt to enjoy some sexy time, something always seems to get in the way. What ensues is one hilarious encounter after another of missed communications and opportunities resulting in a never ending case of sexual frustrations and blue balls for both Sarah and Jack.
While sexy time always seems to be interrupted, Jack and Sarah continue to grow closer into more than just friends. Jack is fully on board with this, as he knows and readily admits he is falling for Sarah. Due to relationship issues in her past, Sarah is not quite as onboard and tries to keep Jack in the friends with benefits column.
Who will win this battle of wills . . .and will the universe quit standing in the way? One click this rom-com to find out!
Blue Balls by RC Boldt was one of the funniest, laugh out loud, romantic comedies I have ever had the pleasure of reading. Each attempted romantic encounter is funnier than the next and you really can’t help but to root for this couple to finally be able to get in on to completion.
However, what I loved even more, was how they grew closer and closer to one another without even realizing it at first . . . slowly becoming dependent upon one another for more than a chance at relieving some sexual tension.
Jack is a gentleman and true romantic. He is funny as heck and I kept cheering him on as he attempted to sway Sarah from being friends to something more. Sarah is sexy, sassy and a perfect match for Jack . . .except that she fears commitment. As a reader, I kept hoping she would finally admit that the messages being sent to her by her favorite little chocolates were a sign and give in to her real feelings for Jack.
Blue Balls is a fun, flirty and hilarious read. It is truly not to be missed if you are a fan of romantic comedy. 5 stars!
