But saving her was a mistake for the both of us. It would have been easier if I’d let my MC kill her when they were getting revenge on her uncle. Now it’s too late. I don’t want sympathy or forgiveness. I … uncle.
Now it’s too late.
I don’t want sympathy or forgiveness.
I just want her.

If you like nitty gritty MC stories with nonstop action then this is the perfect read for you. With loads of violence, danger, gory details, and a bit of down and dirty naughty moments; this story did not stop for anything. When Star’s world turns upside down by just being in the wrong place at the wrong time, she finds herself fighting for her life. Remy for some reason is trying to protect her and keep her safe from what the MC plans to do to her, but when you are a self-proclaimed bad guy, why would you care one way or the other. In a crazy turn of events, it becomes Remy and Star against the MC. It’s the two of them against the world, can they make it to the other side of this war? Or is it just a lost cause?
Wow, what a ride, this was just like those episodes on SOA, you know the ones where everything was happening. As far as an MC read goes, this was on point. Super fast paced, no slow moments, Remy and Star kept jumping through those hoops of danger. For the romance aspect, that for me was a bit low, this was actually definitely more MC than romance and that’s fine, just not a good balance like I would have preferred. I do give this 4 stars.
WOW! This book was amazing and dark! I absolutely love books on the darker side and this one didn’t disappoint!
This MC Book was well written, the plot flowed smoothly from page to page and the characters were written with such great detail and depth that I was totally engaged throughout the entire book! This author never fails to amaze me with his writing talent!
This is my first Jackson Kane novel and man, what a start. This MC romance takes the idea that sometimes, everything can change in your life on the most mundane of days, without any warning at all.
Remy is an anti-hero you can’t help but fall for, and Star a girl stuck in a life she just wants to do her best to escape from. Together they are explosive and all their damaged, broken edges can’t help but line up in all the wrong, right ways. Nothing in this world is easy, but you can’t help but get involved with these characters!
Recommend!
AMAZING!!
This is a MC book at its finest. It definitely isn’t for the faint of heart because this author knows how to bring the down and dirty and throw it right in your face. Remy was every bit the bad*ss biker and always seemed to be walking on the dark side. A shakedown was how Remy met Star and that’s when Star’s life took a huge turn that was always in the dreams she had. She was the girl with the glasses who never really stood out. Because of what happened at the shakedown you would think this girl would have just turned over and welcomed her demise but it was Remy would felt this connection with her. There was something that drew Star to Remy as well even though his was the MC that changed her life forever.
I don’t want to give anything away so I will say that this is one of the better MC books I’ve ever read. I have fallen in love with this author and his style of writing because he seemed to put me right in this story of Remy and Star. About the time you didn’t think things couldn’t get much worse he just notched it up even more with the cruel dark world of an MC and a woman who would do just about anything for this man with still making her such a strong person.
I would highly recommend this book and I’m really looking forward to what he has in store next for the Steel Veins MC.
The author done a fantastic job with this one! What an amazing way to start off his return!
Star and Remy will take you on a wild ride that keeps you hooked from page one. These characters and their story will keep you on the edge of your seat in suspense. Blow Out is full of non-stop action that will have you feeling a mixture of emotions throughout and have begging for more.
‘Blow Out’ is the first book I’ve read by Jackson Kane, and also the first book in the Steel Veins series. I love MC romances, and if they’re your bag, then this book is for you.
The book begins with Star Keller, a young woman who is living with her aunt and uncle, and working for them in their small gas station. She is bored, and is trying hard to get through her studies.
But when a group of angry bikers decide to rock up and demand payment for loans Star’s uncle has taken out, things take a brutal turn for the worst, and Star’s life embarks on a different journey.
The Steel Veins MC runs the town, they aren’t afraid of anyone or anything, and violence just goes with the role. But when one of their own is killed, then hell is to pay.
Remy is part of the Steel Veins, and from the moment he spots Star hiding and afraid, he takes a shine to her. It could be that she looks similar to someone he once loved, or her innocence that he can’t help but want to corrupt, but she gets under his skin and has him breaking all kinds of rules.
This book is full of everything, it had never ending drama, the thrill of a chase, a romance that is off the chart and will definitely keep you interest. I throughly enjoyed it. I did not expect the twists and turns and it definitely kept me on the edge of my reading perch.
This book is not for the faint-hearted as some bits a violent and gruesome, but If you love MC books, this will certainly be one for you! I loved how well this fictional world was created, and i can’t wait to see what happens next with the Steel Veins.
Blow Out by Jackson Kane is a keep you on your seat, intense MC story. What makes it so intense is that it isn’t a hero/heroine type of story, but a really gritty, pushes into your psyche and doesn’t let you go type of story. If you want sweetness and light, this book isn’t for you, it is harsh, often violent and flawed.
The characters Remy and Star aren’t your typical sweet characters. They have both had harsh lives and have to make big, hard decisions along the way. Star pays the price for something that she shouldn’t have seen and instead of running (which would have cost her life) she ends up going with Remy and his MC back to their clubhouse, but this isn’t a sweet story and what happens to Star is actually quite frightening and graphic. The idea of the club, what it stands for and who the men and women are that live there is harsh in its reality and makes you want to keep turning the pages.
Remy is all hard-edged arrogance and doesn’t go out to help Star but for some reason he does. He’s lived a hard life and this is seen in the way he interacts not only with his brothers in the club but also the women. He also doesn’t seem to be a talker! (Just saying)
I don’t want to give any spoilers away so if you want to know more about this book, then you have to read it. It is a harsh, more truer writing about the MC life, but you’re definitely going to enjoy it!

Star Keller is living with her aunt and uncle in the middle of nowhere after an event back home left her needing to get away. Yet soon she finds herself witnessing a crime and now a prisoner of an MC group and she is certain some of them want to kill her the moment they can.
Remy Daniels is the VP of Steel Veins M.C. but when his younger brother is killed he wonders if he still has it in him to continue on. Yet leaving is a dangerous choice when there are so many rival groups ready to kill at the drop of a hat and loyalty means everything.
Can Remy protect Star when some the threats are from his own club? How far will Remy go to protect what he believes is right and can he save his club from the poison within?
This was a great book with so many things going on yet it wasn’t overwhelming and it kept me flipping the pages to find out what was going to happen next.
My heart broke for Star for getting mixed up in everything as it was clear that she really had no idea what was happening at the beginning of the book and was somewhere that she really had no one. I hated how they all thought she was with Todd as it put her in such a bad position but I was super happy that Remy saved her. I was definitely worried about her though when she got to the clubhouse as I wondered if Remy was going to be able to save her.
Remy Daniels was already contemplating how his MC has going downhill and out of control when his brother is killed. When he takes Star to prevent her death he wonders what will happen to her and soon discovers that the rest of the MC wants to take their anger out on her. Remy has to make a drastic choice and I was definitely surprised at what he did.
There was so much action in the book and I found there were definitely different levels of loyalty which I found really interesting. I’ve read MC books before and it is the club first but in this one it almost goes above club yet in a different way. Loyalty was to the club but they had no trouble taking one another out if they betrayed the club and even though the club was no longer the same kind of club as when they joined. I found that part super interesting.
Remy was definitely tough and was so protective over Star and at one point my jaw hit the ground when I read what he did to protect her. I think I screamed no as loud as Star! I loved the strength that she found within herself to keep fighting for herself and for Remy and I was super proud of what she accomplished!
I thought the jobs were hilarious and what ended up happening on the same day.
There was a scene towards the end of the book that completely broke my heart for Remy and I was freaking out for what he wanted to do. There was such a change in him from the beginning of the book to the end and it really broke my heart and made me sad for what it would do to Star.
The end had some more sad parts but also some happy parts and I really hope that the club is able to reform and we can learn more about it in future books!! The very end had me doing a happy dance and I can’t wait for more!

This is the 1st book in a new MC series from this talented author, and what a fantastic introduction this story is!! A series of events lead to Star being kidnapped by the most dangerous of bikers. This is a well written flawless story which is intense, thrilling, raw, gritty, dark, and a suspenseful read, which had me totally captivated throughout this addictive page turner, and I look forward to reading more in this series. I highly recommend this authors’ work for all MC lovers.
A tumultuous story filled with twists and turns. Star finds herself accidentally at the mercy of the MC. Despite her precarious position she decides to fight for her life. When Remy meets star he realizes he still has some goodness in him even on one of the worst days of his life. The two begin a journey filled with life threatening hazards but happily ends at the alter. Filled with bad boys and dangerous situations it will keep you on the edge of your seat.
This book is amazing, I am a fan of MC romance books and this one does not disappoint. A very well written and engaging book that pulls you in from the first sentence, and takes you on an exciting ride from start to finish. I loved everything about this story, it was captivating, intriguing, sexy as hell, and complex. The characters are flawed, tough, strong and fiercely loyal. Want your next book addiction, then pick Blow Out up today, you won’t be disappointed!!!
*ARC Review*
Jackson Kane gives us a truly wonderful MC Romance with his recently remastered book, Blow Out. If you aren’t sure if you’ll like a MC Romance and want to try one out, then this is the perfect story for you to whet your appetite with! This story is heavy on the action, adventure and sexy times while still being semi-light in the MC hierarchy and politics. Blow Out focuses mostly on the two main characters, Star & Remy, and really hones in on them as characters. Yes, you have secondary characters in the story, however Kane does such a masterful job of building the main couple up that this is the perfect intro into the Steel Veins world.
Aside from the storyline, which I thoroughly enjoyed, I loved Kane’s writing style. He has a very beautiful and eloquent way of narrating a story. I found myself highlighting passage after passage just so I could remember all of the things that really struck a chord with me. I was pleasantly surprised to find such complex characters and such a stunning writing style in what I assumed would be a simple MC story. I’m absolutely adding Kane to my list of author’s to follow and I look forward to Steel Veins #2, Burn Up!
