Being a sheltered socialite and daddy’s little girl Holly never really knew just how corrupt the world could be even within her own family.
It’s funny to see just how naive Holly is. Little did she know who she would be working for at her brother’s company.
Elijah and Patrick had a feeling that Patrick’s dad was behind 90% of their companies problems but proving it was something else.
Elijah and Holly had an explosive connection even when obstacles were thrown in their paths.
When Holly’s world started crumbling she was surprised that her friends of Solitaire were really family.
I always felt there was more to Grant’s part in everything.
Can’t wait for next installment Heist! Patrick and Austin’s story!
EXCELLENT BOOK
Loved this book and all the others in the series. They were suspenseful and steamy at the same time.
If this book wasn’t hot enough on it’s own, MJ Webb’s narration skills brings the words of Ivy Nelson to life adding an extra level of sexy heat!!
Ivy Nelson’s Diamond Dom’s series is fantastic. Blood has a great story with super hot characters, alpha men, strong subby women, a made family dynamic, clamps, dysfunctional family dynamics, corsets, intrigue, chauffer’s, expensive food, a great message about conflict diamonds, red silk ties, creepy men in the background, kick-ass female lawyers, private planes, floggers, melting wax, blindfolds, corsets, lace, and all sorts of other stuff that you can only imagine in your wildest secret dreams!!
IN brings it all together with her planning and research and writes an incredible book about a lifestyle that is hidden from the world in darkness and brings it into the readers hands to enjoy.
As for MJ Webb’s narration of the book I have to say it’s flawless. She has specific voices for each characters and captures accents really well. This book has a lot of men but there was differentiation between each man voice which doesn’t often get captured with easy in my experience.
The story flows at good pace which is exactly how MJ Webb reads; it’s as though you are reading it to yourself, only better!
I loved this book and performance of it. I totally recommend that you pick it up today, it wasn’t a difficult listen at all. xx

It’s time to hear from our Blood Red Diamond.
Bookish Holly, much to her dismay, finds herself at a dance club entertaining the daughters of one of her Daddy’s clients. Here she meets a man who sweeps her off her feet for an sexy dance. After taking her to a private office Elijah teaches her some erotic moves that curl her toes and then has to leave suddenly. He promises to phone and then doesn’t. This encounter fuels Holly’s fantasies about seeing him again.
Unsatisfied with her position working in the family’s charitable foundation her brother suggests she apply as assistant to one of his business partners. It turns out to be Elijah and he’s very happy to see her again and would prefer to have a personal relationship with her rather than a business one.
Feeling the need to see what she can accomplish away from her father as much as she is attracted to him, Holly picks business over pleasure. And then finds there is still lots of hot and steamy pleasure to be had anyway as Holly has both her interest in kink and in Elijah satisfied when he takes her to his BDSM club.
While working for him she discovers that Elijah believes her father has committed crimes and wants him to pay for them.
Poor Holly is between a rock and a hard place with her love for Elijah causing her to question her belief in her adored father.
Ms. Nelson has created characters full of depth and personality and pulls us along with them into the story of their romance. Loved it.
Great! I loved this story. Eli and Holly’s chemistry is smoking! Looking forward to reading the rest of the series!

After reading this book I had to take a little time to compose myself and get my thoughts clear in my head before I put them in a review.
Wow this book was amazingly written. Once I started I couldn’t put it down till I was finished. This book has twists and turns you don’t know what’s happening. will they all get there happily ever after or will it all go wrong. To find out what happens go buy the book. You won’t be disappointed I wasn’t.

The author has given us characters that we can connect with. Not only does this story include erotica, but also drama and intrigue.

I absolutely loved everything about Blood. It’s an intriguing and exciting romance. Holly meets Eli in a bar but he’s called away too soon. A few months later with the help of her brother Patrick, she gets an interview with Elijah Barrett. Let me just say undeniable chemistry. I love the gang from Solitaire. Boy do these Doms love hard, they protect, they’re loyal and are family. This story has a great mix of drama, intrigue, mystery, BDSM and plenty of heat. This series has been so entertaining. I’m looking forward to Heist, Patrick’s story next.
I loved this book! This is my first book by this author and most definitely won’t be my last. This book kept me captivated and glued to the pages, and I loved every minute of it. Holly meets Eli with help from her brother, Patrick. He introduces her to the BDSM lifestyle and their connection is undeniable. This book had intrigue, romance, sexy engaging characters and great storyline that you’ll simply love. I highly recommend you give it a read you won’t be disappointed.
I enjoyed Hard, but I think Blood was better and it was a clear demonstration of the maxim God gives you your family, but thank God you can choose your friends. Holly loved her Dad but unfortunately he loved money more. Thanks to her brother Patrick, Holly meets Elijah and is not only introduced to the BDSM lifestyle but learns more about her father’s business and her mother’s death. To say everything does not go smoothly is an understatement but fortunately it all works out and there is a happy ending. There was even a cameo appearance by David and Emily.
Wow, this is such a good book. Holly needs a change in her life. Her brother helps her get a job with Elijah. Their love grows. I couldn’t put this book down. Good book, well written!

This book was spectacular! The flow between these characters makes this book. Holly and Patrick and the hesitancy regarding their parents. Eli needing an outlet for revenge but finding it in the most unexpected way. The plot is fantastic and these characters are superb! Also, Eli and his patient Dom qualities…swoon. Great story!
Not bad
A little light on the sexiness scale, but interesting. I liked the diamond angle not enough to continue the series. However, the subject of all diamonds being conflict diamonds is an issue that resonates with me. I think Ms. Nelson is on to something but she lacked focus. She introduced all the secondary characters, had an espionage and crime family plot, BDSM, and the diamond thing. It’s too much for a simple feud romance. The club could have been a less dominant part of Eli’s life and most of the secondary characters could have been introduced later in the series. Contrary to popular belief it’s okay to simply introduce the second characters in the series in the first book and that’s all. You can add people later but too many takes away focus and feelings away from the mcs of the book.
The central relationship got worse as it went on, with the H constantly harping on how the h needed to communicate openly and fully with him, yet withholding vital information from her for almost the full book. Seriously, what on earth is sexy about condescending paternalism?
This is the first book in the Diamond Doms series. I’ve kept up as they have come out and have thoroughly enjoyed every single one of them.
Haven’t read it yet
I love this series. A well-written bad boy, good girl romance with wonderful characters that are full of life. They have an instant connection that is not appropriate under the circumstances.
Holly is tired of working for her dad. She wants a job away from the Sutton Foundation. When she is offered an interview, she doesn’t realize it’s Eli from the night club, until the day before. Only his name isn’t Eli, it’s Elijah Barrett, the billionaire.
Elijah is at a night club entertaining a client. When she walks in, he can’t take his eyes off her. One thing leads to another and then they are interrupted during their make-out session and he has to leave. He promises he’ll call her, but never does. Now she’s standing in his office for an interview as his personal assistant.
