He’s sworn to find his son.Dallas Mason did whatever was necessary to survive his stint in black ops. While in the Collective, there was no line he wouldn’t cross, and no mission he wouldn’t take. He bedded the enemy to secure his freedom and return to his brothers and build a new life, where the lines between right and wrong are sometimes blurred, but never erased. Now he and everyone at The … everyone at The Arsenal has one mission: find his son. His family and team will stop at nothing to achieve the goal—including sidelining Dallas from the hunt.
She’s sworn to find her father’s killer.
Kamren Garrett learned to rely on no one long ago. Surrounded by enemies, and surviving in hostile territory is nothing new for her. She can outshoot, outhunt, and out track anyone. She doesn’t need a Mason dictating what she can and can’t do to uncover the secrets of her father’s death. Dallas thinks she’s the problem. She doesn’t have time to handle him. She’s close to identifying her quarry. Unfortunately, she discovers she’s over her head and in need of help and she turns to the last people she ever wanted to ask—Dallas Mason.
Forced to take a step back from his true objective, Dallas sets his sights on fixing the problems threatening his son’s future home. Teamed with Kamren, he’ll uncover more than they expected. Failure isn’t an option when it comes to blood vows.

Out of the first three in this series, this story was my favorite.
*I received a free copy of this book which I voluntarily chose to write an honest review for.
I have to admit that I fell in love with the Arsenal crew during book one and each new installment just reinforces that feeling. This time we focus on Dallas as he thinks he is fixing a problem when he goes to confront Kamren only to make the entire situation worse. At the same time he is still frantically looking for his son that he found out existed. Following the two scenarios keeps you hooked due to the impressive details involved. The author must do some in depth research to write these things. Add the romance angle on top of this and you will truly fall in love with this story as it all comes together. If you like romance suspense novels that have a military type feel to them then this is a must read book/series. I loved it so I give it 5/5 stars.
Dallas is on fire to protect his family. The entire Arsenal is on high protective stance for Dallas as well. So when Dallas and Kam cross each other, it isn’t pretty. I felt so bad and solitary for Kam. Being able to see and understand her from her perspective. Knowing that she wasn’t going to play the pity me card with anyone or share her life made her stronger but also made her more alone. Kam was fierce and stunningly awesome! Dallas could be an arsehat when he was being protective. It took me a bit to read through the entire book enjoying all of the suspense and the twists & didn’t want to miss a moment.
If you haven’t read the other books in this series I suggest you do that before reading this one. While it’s not necessary it will make far more sense if you do.
Kamren Garett is looking for her father’s killer, unfortunately her sister Rachelle has been bad mouthing her all over the place, calling her crazy and starting rumors she’s on drugs. Rachelle and her brother Cliff have been at the Arsenal since Riley convinced everyone something bad was going on in Marville. The Mason’s have their back even against their sibling.
The ‘Marville Dogs’ want her to stop her snooping around. After a confrontation with Dallas Mason at the Sip and Spin, a bar where her best friend Dani works. She leaves town. When she returns all is not well and she makes the decision to ask the Arsenal for help.
That’s just the beginning of things blowing up, literally and figuratively. There’s a lot going on in this book with Dallas looking for his son, a set of twins missing and the mystery that is Kamren and her backpack.
In spite of all that Dallas finds himself attracted to Kamren. These two are more than explosive as Kamren wins over the Masons and the Arsenal crew. I love all the characters and this book has more than one twist.
This is a very powerful read, it’s emotional and hits on some very sensitive issues that are handled extremely well. All blended with humor and family.
All I can say is, don’t miss this book!
Now this one was truly a delight to get into. This delves even more into the characters as they continue with you getting more about the others. The meat is in this one that you chew on with savoring every bite. Dallas is one that was a bit of a mystery but when finished with this will no longer be that. Then there is Kamren whom you will enjoy to the fullest even though her opinion of herself at times is so low with secrets that will also be uncovered. The story in this one is filled to the brim with the drama having you catch your breath. The twist will cause you to look like a deer in headlights with the conclusion of this one nothing less than spectacular.

Mason brothers still having troubles. Dallas is still looking for his son he knew nothing about. Kamren’s secrets about her live is about to come out. There’s plenty of danger, secrets and new love. HEA.
I swear each book gets better. And steamier. Lol. Loved Dallas and Kamren. They got off on the wrong foot no thanks to rumors and her sister. But they kick ass as a team. She is awesome and helped show off her skills a time or two. Lots going on in this book. Backlash from the collective, still searching for DJ (another surprise attached to this), murder investigation into Kams dad, gang issues in town, crazy people who need to be dealt with from prior issues or upcoming and then a big surprise at the end. Good lord this book was jam packed and so kick ass. Then we get a slight look into a possible investigation 15 years overdue. Loved the kick ass paint ball scene. She killed it. And loved how everyone took her into the fold. Looking forward to learning more about Ellie. Loved how she stood up for Jesse. He is a doll and needs people in his corner. And we get more hints about gage and Zoey. Lol. Can’t wait for that hot mess. This book def packed more steam which was nice and Hot. Both Dallas and Jud have dirty talking down.
The story picks up a few weeks after the end of Sight Lines/Double Tap. Mary and Vi are still wearing themselves thin looking for Dallas’s son, even with Jud and Dylan on site. Dallas knows he needs to back off. They need a chance to rest and regroup. He takes on the Marville problem. Rachelle isn’t very forthcoming on details, she does give him her older sister.
Kamren Garrett, father was murdered. The corruption in Marville runs deep and her father wasn’t well liked, even by her. He was her father and she wants justice. She is getting close. Then Dallas Mason tells her to drop what she is doing, that it’s hurting her sister. Kamren wants her sister and brother safe, but she can’t let this go. His interference stirs up trouble with the local gang and her best friend is caught between loyalty to her and to her brother’s gang. She leaves town, hoping things will cool down.
Dallas’s public declaration puts Kamren in danger. When she makes a dramatic entrance for help, the whole Arsenal takes notice. Dallas knows he wronged Kamren and is determined to make thing right. Her tracking and survivalist skills prove invaluable to their teams. Dallas and Kamren are soon falling for each other. Rachelle doesn’t like it. Her acting out escalates and the single Mason men find themselves fending her off. Then Reily finds out.
The research Kamren has done into her fathers death leads to some unexpected places, when Mary and Vi get their hands on it. Kamren’s fresh eyes give them the most promising lead on Dallas’s son yet. It’s time to bring him home, and they are in for some unexpected surprises. The Mason family are all in. Kamren again proves invaluable in helping them find their way.
A fast paced, a little steamy, romantic suspense. Loved Dallas and Kam’s story. I had already pre-ordered this book. I was lucky enough to receive an advance copy. I am voluntarily leaving my review. Can’t wait for the next book.
This is an excellent series I’ve recently stumbled over. The author, Cara Carnes is an incredible author in this para-military/romance genre. She does not write her female characters as ‘damsels in distress,’ but, as tough, smart, warrior ‘goddesses’ in their own right. I truly laughed my a$$ off in parts of this story & cried my eyes out in others. The female lead character in this story is simply incredible. A really fantastic addition to an incredible series! It just seems odd that a huge paramilitary-type, ultra-secure compound doesn’t have security/war dogs in addition to the human/camera/drone security. (hint hint Ms. Cara – much like bacon, dogs make everything better.) No matter what, dogs are unrivaled in securing a property – it’s why our military & police rely so heavily on them…. Even ancient Tibetan monks used Shih Tzu’s as watch dogs, who alerted the Tibetan Mastiff guard dogs to the approach of strangers/intruders. Looking forward for much more of this series, the Mason’s and their extended team are incredible, well thought out characters, that you will simply fall in love with..
