I read the original version of this series years ago and really loved them but they were all just too short, now book one has been revamped and added too, it is even better and I really hope Ms Carter will do the other two books in this series. Maybe even add to it.
Marek is the King but he is also a Kyn warrior and goes out on patrol every night to fight the rogues. He prefers this to political machinations.
Maria is out to kill rogues to avenge her younger sister’s death. How they meet and what happens is great story telling. The difference from the original is very good reading.
His team of warriors need to have their stories told.
I believe Ms Carter may just add to this series as a few things are different in this book in regards to Marek’s team of Kyn warriors.
Whilst we do not learn very much about the Kyn and their background this is still a good read.
