A stand alone book in the In the Shadows series. When Cass¿s life is stripped away, threatening her entire existence, Calder will do whatever it takes to bring her back to him, even if that means letting go of the only family he¿s ever known.
I love this series! I can’t get enough of them. Although, I feel this book didn’t quite have the gut wrenching tragedy or suspense as the preceding books. Don’t get me wrong, I still enjoyed this book and am anticipating the next.

Blood Rose by P.T. Michelle is the eighth book in her In The Shadows series. A standalone story within the series that CAN be read as a standalone but would be better enjoyed if you had read the series to this point. Told in dual POV this is another story in the lives of Cass and Calder. Emotional, intriguing, and very sexy this was a fabulous read.
Calder is desperate for Cass to set a date and marry him. Cass is determined to find her own place in Calder’s world, one where she can feel like she has her own value and knows she can provide him with the family that he so desperately craves. The problem with these two is the lack of communication. Calder is the type of personality that wants to protect and care for but Cass is the type where she wants to do things for herself. They have to learn to compromise their personalities, talk openly with each other, and also dodge the threats on their lives while they’re at it.
Well-written and well-paced I have enjoyed previous books from this author and this one was no different. Enjoy!

Blood Rose by P.T. Michelle is book 8 in the “In the Shadows” series. This is the story of Calder and Cass. This can be a standalone book but Cass and Calder did meet in previous books (I think they are GOLD SHIMMER and STEEL RUSH) that I haven’t yet read.
This book picks up with Cass and Calder looking to be married. Calder is still dealing with his new found family that he doesn’t want anything to do with since what their father (his father too) did to his mother. Between personal issues, doubts and fighting the past bumps in the road are happening through their relationship but they are heading towards their happy ending.
Really enjoyed this book and now really want to go back and read the previous ones!

While Blood Rose is sort of a continuation of Cass and Calder’s story, it can be read as a stand-alone (although I personally recommend you read Gold Shimmer and Steel Rush before starting this).
I’ve fallen in love with all the characters in the series over the years I’ve been reading it and I didn’t realise how much I’d missed the characters. Things seem to have settled down a little for Cass and Calder but that doesn’t mean the peace is going tot last long. With Cass meant to be setting a date for a wedding and Calder trying to work through his feelings regarding his new family, there’s some bumps for the two of them to get over. Can they work it out? Throw in a face from the past that could possibly put one of them in danger and it’s anyone’s guess what’s going to happen.
I thoroughly enjoyed Blood Rose and can’t wait for more from the In The Shadows series.
