Good mystery
Thought the book was wonderful.Enjoyed the writing
Good book, I was interested enough to also read the sequel. Engaging protagonist- I was rooting for her in spite of wanting to wring her neck at times!
This book made want to read ALL of Toby Neal’s books.
Like a visit to the islands
Love this whole series.
Interesting setting mostly likable characters Keon my interest
Great book that showcases Hawaii.
This is a psychological thriller. I don’t like psychological thrillers. The plot includes abuse of girls/women. I hate that subject. By the time I realized what this book was about, I was hooked on the protagonist, Lei, a female police officer. Couldn’t put it down! Exceedingly well written, great characters, and a twisty plot with a …
Lei Texiera is a character worth getting to know. Many good stories follow this one.
Thoroughly enjoyed it.
I enjoyed the lush and vivid description of Hilo, Hawai in the book. The author set his scenes up as he explains Lei, the MC of the story. Her past suddenly catches up with her and she is trying to get out of the mess which leads to a stalking, a murder and a kidnap as well.
With several twists and turns, the story was neat …
Toby Neal will take you straight to the Big Island of Hawaii in this exciting novel. Blood Orchids has it all — a stong female lead, a sexy detective, and even an adorable dog.
I’m a big fan of Ms. Neal. I love the way she paints such a clear picture of Hawaii that you can almost smell the plumeria flowers and taste the salt in the air. Neal …
Holds your attention
This was a very moving story with realistic characters and a lot of Hawaiian culture. The subject matter was a little more intense and graphic than what I usually read so, while it was well written, It would not make my list of favorites. I listened to this book on audible so I can’t say if it was well edited.
I enjoy all of the books from this author
Enjoyed the location and the culture of people , food and history.
The lead characters are somewhat unrealistic and very reminiscent of many other leads of this genre.
Hope the following books don’t stay to the formula.
A new author for me and I really like the style and story.
I really enjoy this series of books. Toby Neal writes books which I have difficulty putting down
Relatable characters, enough twists and turns to keep you guessing. Enjoyed the read enough to purchase more books by this author.
I enjoyed the characters and the storyline. Although not entirely original, the plot was made more interesting with its characters. This was a quick read and I look forward to reading more books by this author.
