Curvy country star Cassie Miller-Pope lives and breathes music until the fated day when betrayal boots her in the backside and leaves her flailing for balance. She completes her obligations, then demands her manager-ex-boyfriend give her time off to visit her home country of New Zealand. No, she’s not licking her wounds. She’s checking out her unexpected inheritance from her grandfather. That’s … That’s her story, and she’s sticking to the script.

He makes his anti-marriage and attachment opinions clear before each sexual encounter. But what he does keep secret is his true identity. His surname indicates his shifter personality. Hone is a taniwha—that’s dragon to you non-New Zealand readers—and to help keep his human form and his tribes’ otherness under the radar, sex and lots of it, is a necessity.
Cassie is enamored with Hone from the beginning, despite warnings from her best friend. Hone experiences the same lethal attraction and struggles to avoid the woman who wears happy-ever-after on an invisible billboard above her head. Unbeknown to Cassie, the second she gives in to her desire for the charming rogue, she’s placed herself in jeopardy, and it’s not just danger to her beleaguered heart. This time it’s her life on the line…in a battle that’s the stuff of legends.
Warning: Contains a voluptuous, girl-next-door heroine with a wounded heart and a sexy, happy-go-lucky alpha hero with a rebellious dragon. Both have secrets, so let’s see how things shake down…

This is the second book in the series but it is not necessary to read the first to enjoy this one. Cassie and Hone are mates but she is a human. There are three story lines interwoven in this book that make for more interesting reading. I’m not going to tell what they are, just know there is plenty of hot, sexy scenes. If you liked the first, you will like this one more.
Cassie comes to New Zealand to get some rest and visit her best friend Emma. She was born in New Zealand but her family moved to the States when she was little. Her grandfather left her his farm so she plans on staying there. The farm is a mess, Emma gets her boyfriend Jack and his friend Hone to help. Jack and Hone are taniwha dragon shifter. Hone isn’t interested in a relationship but Cassie is and so is Hone’s dragon. I really enjoyed all the books I’ve read by this author and this book is just as enjoyable.
A really good shifter romance.
Cassie has taken a month off to get over a nasty break up and to visit her inheritance house from her grandfather. But when she gets there with her best friend Emma, the house has been trashed inside and she has to make some repairs before she can stay in it as planned. But Emma saves the day and calls her husband, Jack, and his cousin, Hone, comes along to help. From there, the story takes you on twists and turns that go from light-hearted to tragic and the adjustments to the changes and truth. I was giggling and squealing when I reached the section with the clown. (I hate clowns too!) Yikes! But it did make me cry at a of couple points too. But it’s so good!
This is the second book in the Dragon Investigators series and can be easily read on its own.

I absolutely loved this story! I now have to read the first and anxious for the third to come out! I couldn’t put it down!
This fantastic story is the second of three in the series of Dragon Investigators. You don’t have to read the first story, Blue Moon Dragon, about Jack and Emma, to enjoy this story. Jack and Emma are in this story too because this story is about Emma’s best friend who comes to New Zealand to claim her inheritance and to take a break from her job.
Cassie is a Country Singing star in the United States, but in her home country, they don’t know her. Not that people in America would recognize her anyway. On stage she is in a wig, extra make-up and different clothes. It started as a way to overcome her anxiety of going onstage in front of thousands. After finding her fiance/manager in bed with not only another woman, but another man too, she took a month to go back home to get her mind straight about how she wants to go forward with her career. When she gets to her grandfather’s house with Emma, they find it stripped of all furniture, graffiti spray painted on the wall and sheep in the house. Emma calls her husband, Jack, to come over to help out. Jack brings his friend Hone over to help too. Emma tells Cassie to stay away from Hone because he is a player and not interested in relationships. She would only get her heart broken if she went there.
Jack and Hone are Taniwha (dragon shifter) and all work together as PI’s. As a dragon shifter, to keep their human form, especially during certain moon phases, they have to either fly as a dragon or have sex. Since they can’t fly without being seen, the males seem to go through women like water in the desert. Hone has rules. It is only physical, no attachments and they can remain friends, never more. Of course dragon shifters like their women with curves to them, like Emma and Cassie so of course Hone is attracted to Cassie. When they are all invited to Auntie June’s house for dinner, Hone’s cousin, Aunt June’s oldest son Manu asks Cassie to pretend to be dating him so his mother will back off the matchmaking for him. She agrees. Hone doesn’t like it one bit.
Hone has some things he has to deal with, since this is new territory for him. Cassie has to decide what to do with her career. Manu has to deal with his mother when she see Cassie and Hone together.

Always love Shelley Munro Taniwha stories they give anew take on the normal dragon shifter and the fact that sex keeps them satisfied adds to the plot
After been betrayed Cassie Miller-Pope a country singer returns to New Zealand for a break and to take a luck at the property she has inherited from her grandfather it will also give her a chance to reconnect with her friend Emma(see Blue Moon Dragon) When she founds the house in a bad state f repair with sheep in side she decides to refurbish it Emma come to assist and brings Hone to help He is a Tanihwa like Emma’s husband and he is sex personified Cassie is in immediate lust but he has ground rules no relationships As they start to bond danger threatens Casey wil he be able to keep her safe.
Book two in the Dragon Investigators series and I want to read the next book. A well written story of suspense, drama, danger, a crazy woman, clowns, bad ex mangers, and romance. Country singer Cassie Miller-Pope goes home to New Zealand after her ex manager betrays her. She meets dragon shifter Hone Taniwha. I enjoyed reading their story. Cassie is a singer/songwriter based in the US. She comes from New Zealand and inherits a cottage and acres from her grandfather. She needs a break and heads back home to New Zealand. Hone is a fire dragon shifter and a player amongst women, and he says that he will never settle for one woman. Then along comes Cassie and takes his breath away. She is a curvy woman but very self-conscious because of the hurtful things her ex used to tell her. But Hone loves her curves and so does his dragon. Terrific continuation of this series.
This is a great story romance with a birth of shifting thrown in with some suspense, intrigue, and action. I really liked this book because it’s part of a great series where you can pick and choose…each book is a standalone. I read book 1, and each book seems to get better. Cant wait for book 3.

The series continues…
The “Dragon Investigators” series continues with Hone and Cassie’s story. This one has a basic story-line…she wants a relationship/he doesn’t do relationships. Of course fate throws the two together and chemistry does the rest.

She goes home to rest and catch up with a friend and see the house her grandfather left her. But it is trashed and needs a whole lot of TLC. It is full of excitement, drama, suspense, emotional situations and so much more. There are a lot of twists and turns and ups and downs. the story flows just right with the characters. I received a review copy from booksprout and voluntarily review it.
Cassie is spending a month in New Zealand where she was born and meets Hone Taniwha.
Cassie is a country star in the US who keeps her life private by wearing a wig and using a stage name. She is trying to get over her manager/ex-boyfriend who she found cheating on her in a threesome with a man and a woman so she has arranged a month off to visit New Zealand to check out the property her grandfather has left her and catch up with friend Emma. She enjoys being unknown and the freedom it gives her. Emma introduces her to her husband’s cousin Hone Taniwha who is a dragon shifter. Soon after she arrives strange things start to occur. A Shifter romance to relax and enjoy.

I enjoyed this book. The characters were likable, the plot exciting and there are plenty of emotions. I felt that this shifter romance had a little bit of uniqueness to it. Some action, drama and suspense help round out this entertaining book.
Home for a break and determine what she really wants, Cassie plans a quiet time fixing up her grandfather’s home, but life isnt always quiet when Dragons are involved. Excitement, passion and a lot of running from the truth this story pulls you in and keeps the imagination running. The characters are so real, like they could be your neighbor. I just loved it.
