Blood Match is the second book in the Blood Type Series. You HAVE to read the first book!
In Blood Match we began to see Reyna’s true self come out. She is no longer going to be the naïve young girl just trying to get by. She really grows during this book. Her strength is tested in many ways but those tests only make her stronger. I absolutely loved watching this transformation happen.
You get to see many sides to Beckham in this book. I loved seeing his sweet side come out a little more and his protectiveness of Reyna was hot!
I really don’t want to give any spoilers away because this book is just packed full of excitement. I will tell you that I really need Blood Cure NOW!!! This series is a must read. Even if you aren’t a big PNR fan, the world and characters the author has created is one that will suck you in and keep you wanting more.
Author Kyla Linde just keeps those surprises coming, and I LOVE IT! She drew us in and pushed us right over the cliff with BLOOD TYPE. Now Reyna and Beckham are back and better than ever in BLOOD MATCH, and Ms. Linde is taking no prisoners as their story continues.
The reality of Visage, the truths about who can be trusted and who cannot, the web of intrigue that goes deeper than Reyna could imagine, Kyla does an absolutely great job of conducting this non-stop thrill ride, and making us want more. I was hooked from page one and could not put this book down, which, for me, is the mark of a great read.
And, y’all, if you thought that the ending of BLOOD TYPE was a jaw dropper, well, you ain’t seen nothing yet. Where the heck is Book 3, Kyla? You’ll be asking the same thing, and wishing it was there on your e-reader. Believe me when I say that you want to be all caught up when BLOOD CURE (Book 3) goes live, so stop what you’re doing and read these books, right now. You will not be sorry.
You guys!! Blood Match was amazing!!! I could not read this story fast enough! Becks and Reyna were fiery, sexy, passionate and their story so compelling. I was glued to my kindle and could not get enough!
I loved this fast paced story! Blood Match picked right up where Blood Type ended where Reina and Beckham are now fighting danger all around them. I loved this story and how we see tremendous growth in Reyna. She is stronger and less innocent. She knows the enemy and what they are capable of. And that ending?! OMG WHAAAAAAAAAT???
Gah!! Without giving away any spoilers just know this story was flawlessly written and is one huge explosion from the get go. I seriously can’t wait for Blood Cure. Bravo! 4 stars! ~Ratula
wait! stop! what just happened???!!! this cannot happen!! No!!!
why do you keep doing this to me, Linde?
OMG!!! IT CAN’T BE REAL!!!!
People…she loves to torture us! So, if you love being tortured, or even if you don’t, go out and get this series!!
I’m not a fan of vamp books, etc, but Linde has made me a fan of hers!
OH.MY.GOSH! I have so much love for this series, it’s ridiculous. I could definitely do without the cliffhanger endings (the wait isn’t long people, you can do it!), but we just have one more book to go until we finally reach the end of this crazy vampire world with blood escorts and the elite. Pretty darn political if you ask me. Just like when you finished Blood Type, you’ll be hungry and waiting once you reach the end. I’m such a fan of this new take with one of my favorite paranormal beings to read about; vampires! And Beckham is still one that you’ll absolutely fall in love with!
Reyna! I love her character so much, she has come so far since day one in Blood Type. Gone is the naive woman and someone new to be admired rises. She’s definitely a much stronger character this time because of what she had to endure when she was captured and tortured. And with just accepting her new reality and the craziness of the world she lives in. Reyna was truly knocked down physically and mentally in this one, you’ll be wondering how she’ll make it out alive. But in the end, I felt like she was much stronger. Her eagerness to be reunited with not only her brothers, but essentially the man she came to love, Beckham. And also the fact the RIGHT thing needs to be done!
The drama and angst are all there in this one, which will really pull out the emotions out of you especially when it comes to a couple of characters you absolutely despise. I’d say one of them is completely unnecessary, but that’s just me However, it was just right amount I could deal with, without getting too irritated by it all.
It’s a slow start, but once things really start to pick up, you’ll have quite the page-turner on your hands. I was constantly hungry for more and now I’m so damn eager for the conclusion! Gimme, gimme, gimme! Such a solid read from K.A. Linde and a great addition to this series. Absolutely can’t wait for Blood Cure!
Well KA Linde has sure captured my attention with this series and this second book has blown up what I thought was going to happen. Reyna and Beckham’s story continues in this twisted tale and now I can’t wait to get the next story in this series because my heart is broken and I can’t stop thinking about what could happen next! Blood Cure is going to be epic I can feel it!
Reyna is finally getting Beckham the way she has fantasized of… but when drama and mayhem rocket through there world it will leave all hopelessly devastated.
I have to know what happens next! I have to see what the final outcome will be and all the secrets that are lurking will be revealed… and hopefully some of the devastation we endured in this story will all just be a dream- one can only hope!
Get to one clicking to see what happens you don’t want to miss this story! I would give this book a 4.5 stars and highly recommend to others for sure! Intense and passionate and so many layers,,, ahhh can’t wait for the rest!
4 stars for – Blood Match – book two in the Blood Type series by K.A. Linde. You have to read book one – Blood Type – prior to reading this book in order to have a better understanding into this crazy intense PNR world of vampires and humans that Ms. Linde weaved for us. After the way book one ended I thought for sure there wouldn’t be too much of a cliffhanger in this one but I could not have been more wrong with my thought process! Hang on to your seats since the road does get a bit bumpy along the way.
The last time we saw Reyna she was in a bit of a predicament running away from the man she loves and into the trap she never saw coming. Being held by Harrington and used against her will has turned her into a very bitter person. Weeks later an opportunity arises and she takes her chances on escape but running from one prison and finding herself in another wasn’t part of the plan.
The many people of Elle aided Reyna in her escape but they are the same ones who refuse to allow her to do as she wishes. While she understands to a point the headstrong Reyna doesn’t take too kindly to being told to sit on the sidelines either. Meanwhile the man she loves is more distant than ever choosing to barely even acknowledging her existence let alone the closeness they once shared.
Reyna is desperate to bring Visage down now more than ever for everything they’ve done to her and those she loves. In rather dramatic fashion a masquerade ball on New Year’s Eve is where everything will be revealed and it is nothing short of spectacular. In true Linde style you won’t see a few of the shockers that are revealed coming!!! I can’t wait for book three – Blood Cure – next!
Blood Type is a series that must be read in order. Blood Match is book two and picks up exactly where Blood Type (book one) left off. Reyna is still being held by Harrington, Beckham has not saved her, and she is trying to figure out how to escape the hell she is in.
This will be a tough review to write without giving away spoilers. There is so much wonderfulness in the story but to share it would be giving away too much. So I will keep it simple. The storyline is amazing. I am a vampire story fan and love that this is not the typical human falls for a vampire; they change her, and their love blossoms. That is not what Blood Match is. There is the human/vampire love story but this is the story of a vampire who has figured out a way to get power, too much power and is taking advantage of those who are not so powerful. I love that there is depth, mystery, and drama to the story. There are characters that are relatable and likable.
This is a MUST-READ book. Read Blood Type first, meet Reyna, Becks, Penny, and the rest of the characters. Learn about their lives, their loves, and their hates. See where life is leading them. You will not be able to stop reading.
I have struggled for weeks since reading this 2nd installment of the Blood Type series, as to what to put in my review. So much went into this one book, and without spoiling a thing, I will say I am still experiencing a book hangover weeks after I read the last word. I can tell you, that this book ends on a major cliff hanger, and while we know the third and final installment is out in just over a month, it’s still hard to wrap my head around the events of this book. I was happy, elated, in love with where Kyla took this story, and at the same time heart-broken and traumatized. So much angst has been packed into this one book, I do whole heartedly believe it’s the most angst filled book she’s written to date! Having read every single one of Kyla’s books, I know that you can’t let where this book ends ruin you. You must find a way to realize that there will be more, and wait for it. This is by far one of the best books I’ve read in 2018, and truly was a page-turner. The characters made me love them, hate them and even pity them for certain reasons. In all my years writing reviews, I have never struggled to put my feelings into words without using every word under the sun to encompass my feelings. Kyla has done it again with the 2nd book of Reyna and Becks and I can’t wait to see how this story ends in August. For someone who has never been into paranormal romance at all, Kyla truly has surprised me around every corner! BEST BOOK OF 2018!!!!
After finishing blood type we know that Reyna has been taken by Harrington because she has the same blood type as him which is extremely rare.
So much happens in this book, Reyna escapes with the help of Elle, she meets a lot of new people, Harrington is still a slime ball and I ended up really liking Beckham after hating him the whole first book.
And then…. in true k.a. Linde fashion she rips your heart out at the end with a huge cliffhanger.
I’m so looking forward to blood cure!
This is a truly addictive series and boy does K.A. Linde know how to leave things that keep us coming back, nay, begging for more. Blood Match picks up right where Blood Type leaves off. Sufficed to say Reyna is not in a good place, emotionally or physically. her world not only turned up side down but essentially destroyed she does the only thing she can, fights back through her pride until that too is beaten back and leaves her distraught.
On that note I highly recommend going back and doing a re-read of Blood Type before starting in on Blood Match. I found that I had sadly forgotten some of the small details that were important to the story when I began. They ultimately came back as things fell into place but it made the beginning a little head scratching as I tried to remember. Which leads me to saying, this is not a book that can be read as a standalone. These books end on cliffhangers and tied tightly together with one another.
As you might expect considering what Reyna goes through in Blood Type and what she will go through in the beginning of Blood Match, Reyna is not the naive but proud girl that we first met. She is hardened by what she discovers and what she goes through. All the things I wish she had been in the first book when she would frustrate me she becomes in this book, though she keeps a good dose of that pride and willfulness but would we really want her any other way. She is a powerful and determined heroine who will enthrall you with her courage, perseverance, and loyalty. She will frustrate you just as much with her willful determination and her lack of concern for her own self, but those traits make her capable of becoming the one that is needed to change everything.
Beckham, what does one say about Beckham…well actually I can say a few things, ha. First off I have to say I spend 3/4ths of my time loving him and 1/4th of my time hating him and thinking he is the worst scoundrel of all. He’s also just an amazing character all around. Flawed so badly and determined to make amends for his past while moving the future of his race and that of all humanity in a new direction, but what direction that is…well you have to read to find out.
This series is action packed and will keep you on your toes until K.A. Linde makes you tip right over crashing to the ground when you get to her ending for this book. If you thought the end of book one was a cliffhanger you haven’t seen anything yet. Be prepared to want to scream and toss your book (don’t do it..you’ve been warned so you can breathe deep and set your e-reader/book gently aside then throw a pillow) and beg for more. This book will leave you scrambling and saying WHAT THE F, but it will be so worth it!
~ HAPPY READING (laughs maniacally) ~
Holy Hell!!! Book 2 picks up straight on from book 1, so make sure you’ve read that one first.
I was so engrossed in book 2, completely captivated!! Poor Reyna, she’s in a bad place after being captured and used as a blood bag at Visage, her rare blood type used by Harrington himself, and the results can be seen just by looking at him!
Beckham is carrying on the pretense of working for them while behind the scenes planning to end Visage and get Reyna back. These two are so good together, I just love it!! But there are lots of plot twists and turns that really just left me open mouthed which what was going on, so very fast paced and captivating, I couldn’t put it down.
If you thought the cliffhanger at the end of book 1 was bad, wait til you’ve read this one – holy hell I wasn’t prepared for that!! Book 3 required like now please!!! Highly recommended reading!!
4.5 Stars
Just like Blood Type, Blood Match starts pretty slowly and takes place at Visage, where Reyna is being held against her will. It wasn’t until the 50% point that things started to pick up. But I urge you to stick with it, because it really is worth the wait.
Beckham and Reyna were so hot together and if I’m honest I would have loved more interaction between them. When they were together you could just feel the passion. I just wanted more of that. The parts where they weren’t together did seem to drag a little for me sadly but I think that was more down to the fact that I just loved the Beckham and Reyna scenes so much.
Reyna was way more stronger than she was in the first book. I really loved the way her character has now grown and she’s become pretty badass, which I didn’t think was possible.
Despite my issues with the pace of the book to begin with, I couldn’t help be blown away by the end and I’m only hoping KA Linde doesn’t leave us waiting too long for the third and what I assume will be the final book in this series.
Ksofuevfjisibfhsushdjxi!!!!! That’s how I felt when finishing Blood Match. I couldn’t even form words because of the twist that this story ended up taking! The wait in between stories is the worst! We’re left wondering how it’s going to continue.
Reyna has been kidnapped by none other than Harrington. I bet you can guess why. The only thing that keeps her going is the idea that she’ll be back with Becks one day. If she doesn’t die, which she’s felt close to a few times thanks to Harrington and his threats.
I’ve said it before, but I’ll say it again. K.A. Linde is the Queen of angst and cliffhangers. This proves it yet again. She’s resorted back to her usual style of hangovers. The ones that evoke anger in her readers. We can only hope that she has mercy on us and gives us the ending that we want. Really, I want one particular thing to happen. Fingers crossed!
wow what a great second book!
I love reyna and Beckham so much and just need more of them like now!
this is the second book in a series.
I’m ready to devour book 3 right now!
My God! Oh my God! Of my effing God!!! I can’t… I don’t… I just… I have no words. This book… My God. I need book 3 like right now. The wait is going to kill me.
There isn’t much I can say without spoiling anything. But if you’ve read Blood Type, I’m sure you’re dying for this book. And it doesn’t disappoint. At all. Wow. I’m still effed up over it. It is intense. And angsty. And suspenseful. And intriguing. And sexy. And Becks is everything!!! *swoon* Also, I’d wrap your Kindle in bubble wrap before finishing this one. Just saying. LOL!
If you haven’t started this trilogy, I suggest you do so immediately. Especially if you’re a fan of vampires. It. Is. So. Amazing.
Who am I? Reading PNR and books with vampires? I don’t know who I am but this book was everything I hoped and wished it would be!
KA Linde has changed me forever, I am a reader of vampires and paranormal romance. I didn’t know what KA Linde would bring with this book and she has woven a story that I could have never imagined. Beckham continues to be a vampire that I would love to be a blood match for, I now understand were Reyna is coming from.
Blood Match picks up exactly where Blood Type left us..you MUST read Blood Type first! With each word written my blood was pumping harder and harder!
The twists, turns and beautifully written words were perfection and damn you, KA Linde, I am hooked to this series like I haven’t been in a while! The passion, lust, and love between Reyna and Beckham were tangible and once again, KA Linde has left me hanging, needing and wanting MORE!
This was a good read. I am a huge fan of KA Linde, but have a hard time with paranormal romance. I had a hard time getting into this second book and the cliffy at the end had my jaw hanging open. The writing is brilliant and kept me on the edge of my seat. I love an author that can create a story so outside the box. It was a good read, I just had a hard time getting into this world again. I am very interested to see where this story will end in book 3 with everything that has happened at the end of book 2.
This is book 2 in a 3 book series. You need to have read book 1 to understand what is going on in this book.
I can’t even with this book! Linde has done it again and although this is a PA book, it still has all the angst in which she writes her other books. And i love it!!
After reading Blood Type I was so anxious to read the next book to see what would happen in the worlf of Reyna and Beckham. And I was not disappointed. While the first book established our characters and the world around them, we really get to dive into the story in Blood Match, as well as get to know some new characters that play an important part in their world.
I don’t want to do a spoiler review but I will say that there are some amazing scenes that I read over and over again. And once again Linde has left us all on the edge of our seat.
If you don’t finish this book and yell, scream or throw your kindle/book, then you have no heart!!! This book had my heart racing in so many places from anticipation and I am sitting on pins and needles waiting for the final installment. In all honesty I’m hoping that it doesn’t end with book 3. I want to read more and more of these characters!!
Blood match review
5 make the lambs stop screaming stars
This book picks up at the end of Type.
It was awesome.
I really, really don’t want to leave anything else for fear of spoilers.
You realize in this book what being a perfect blood match means for this society.
It will make you cry, squirm, laugh, say awwwww… this one has it all.
I highly recommend starting with book 1 and diving right in.
I feel this could be on the level of a new hunger Games craze. With hot sex that is.
