I should be ashamed to say this…should, but I’m not, Blood Lust definitely, definitely has me lusting. Full on hussy rubbing herself up against several men kind of lusting. I didn’t start out this way…
I actually started this book immediately after finishing The Vessel. It was a difficult transition for me because I didn’t realize the true nature of The Vessel. As a prequel, it starts the story off and I latched onto the idea of Sierra. However, Sierra isn’t the main character and once I got over that it was smooth sailing.
Let me just say that if you’ve seen the inspiration for these characters you will have no trouble wishing to be Celeste. Trying to get the author to change her name from Celeste to Becky hasn’t worked yet but I’m contemplating a petition. Everyone knows Becky is a better name. I would totally handle the situation with the grace and stamina it requires.
My only complaint…is I have no access to the next in the series. Blood Lust ended leaving me desperate for more. I mean technically that’s not a complaint but being that her name is still Celeste- I need some sort of gratification.
I can’t wait to see where this leads and if there’s a name change later on…

Sorry if this turns into me rambling but, I just finished reading it and my thoughts are a bit scattered still. All I can say is, holy moly Batman, this was a great read. I knew it would be just based off of reading the prequel, but so much happened in this book. Revelations were made, alliances formed, bonds forged, danger, magic, lust, steamy passion, and sorrow. Grace White managed to fit it all in this book. I seriously can not wait to read what happens next, that ending, ugh I’m going to be doing several re-reads until the next book in the series comes out.
This was very well written, the world building and details were great, and the characters, gah, so good! I adore Laken, but I knew I would after reading the prequel, and Gage, yum, he’s so complicated all three of the men are really. Then there is Celeste, she’s strong, bold and fearless when needed to be, but also vulnerable and confused and grieving. The characters are so complex, easy to adore and make you want to read more. I also can’t wait for Celeste to start using her magic more and I’m positive it will happen in book two! But this is seriously a great read. If you haven’t read the prequel, The Vessel, you should because it’s totally worth it, but not necessary if you’d prefer to dive right into this book. And if you were on the fence about reading this book, I hope anything I said was helpful to you in making up your mind.
