The Blackthorne Vampires Book 1
Kim Loraine
I loved Cash and Olivia’s story. I could not help but want more of the vampires. It was great. The storyline was full of twists, and kept my attention the whole way through. I loved the characters and can’t wait for more of their stories!!
This book is super cool. I love the characters and their messed up world. I loved Liv and cashel. I hate cliffhangers, but I can’t wait to see what happens. The story grows on you and bam, you’re hooked. I can’t wait to see where this goes!
It was adding more to the vampire folklore and some interesting twists and turns with lovely characters.
I would have liked a bit more depth at times but it is still quite entertaining.

Wow! Another stellar book by Kim! You’ll be drawn into the world of cash and Olivia! This was a page turner that you CANNOT miss! Awesome job!!!
Another highly addicting vampire series from Kim Loraine! And what a cliffhanger…..can’t wait for the next book in this series!
This was my first book by Kim Loraine and I really enjoyed it. While it might not have been the most original take on the vampire trope, it was exceptionally well done. Both main characters were strong in their own right. Kudos to the author for not making the heroine into a doormat. I am still really curious where she takes Cash’s character. The cast of secondary characters were no less interesting. I would love to see more from Lucas and Callie. The plot was engaging and kept me at the edge of my seat. I will definitely pick up the next book in the series.
Wonderful start to a new Vampire series by Kim Loraine! I love her writing and this book sucked me in!
This is a dark romance of humans and vampires. Olivia’s blood could save the vampire race, but she was being held at Blackthorne Manor where all but one vampire had no emotions or morals. The story was very interesting and definitely attention holding with very strong and well defined characters. Excellent read!

In Blood Captive , Kim Loraine is expanding on the known Vampire mythology by creating her own brand of lore . The sun sickness and the bloodline that can cure it . Overall , that is the basis for this book.
I like the world building, the hero and heroine, and the amount of heat in this tale.
Will have given a higher rating , if it had more layers and depth . Lots of details in the plot were very vague.
I am counting on the future books of the series to have more deets on Olivia and Cash background and family. Who are these vampires? Where do they come from? Sun sickness? Oliva bloodline?
Be Aware: This book ends in the mother of CLIFFHANGERS. There is no HEA or HFN in this story , next book continues with the same MC.

This is the first book in the Blackthorne Vampires, and this is a great introduction to the Series. I love Vampires’s stories, and this one is really great! I love the characters, the world building, and the storyline. Olivia and Cashel are great characters, and I love their unique and intense chemistry. Aaron Shedlock and Emma Wilder did an OUTSTANDING job with the narration! Shedlock is already one of my favorite narrators. He did an amazing read of this story as Cashel. Wilder is a wonderful narrator. She did a fascinating narration as Olivia. She also has a great male voice. I love their voices together. This is definitively a great team author/narrator. I enjoyed it. Now, I can’t wait for the next book in the Series to know what happens next! I HIGHLY recommend this Series. (Review updated with the audiobook version)
This book was super amazing and awesome Kim has doesn’t it again and created a captivating story
Yes! A Kim Loraine paranormal story is my favorite type of Kim Loraine story. What an exciting start to this series! I can’t believe how much happens in this first book. I love Cashel and can’t wait to find out what’s going to happen. Great world building, great characters, and intrigue and action around every corner. I’m loving Cashel and Olivia and I can’t wait to see what’s in store for them and how they are going to get through this. Anxious for book 2.
I’m a sucker for a vampire book. It’s my kryptonite. Ive read thousands of them and can’t get enough. I’m a fan of Loraine’s so reading this book was a no-brainer. I thought it was very well written and edited well. The idea of a “Sun madness” was interesting, and I’m sure there will be more about it in the next books inn The series, but I wish we were told at least how you got it. It was made vague in my opinion. The characters were interesting, but I didn’t find them especially engaging. Towards the end, Olivia tells Cashel’s father a lie about another man…But the consequences are completely left out like it never happened. This lie affected Cashel a lot, yet it didn’t seem to matter at the end. I will read book two but I’m hoping it is more engrossing than this one and the story lines get fully fleshed.
I’m sad I will have to wait for the next book to continue the story. This is so enthralling and has you on the edge of your seat but not just from the suspense but also from the arousal you feel coming off the page. I’m sad this wasn’t just told in one book because I need to know what happens with Cashel and Olivia and how they find each other again.
