Revenge isn’t always sweet, but it sure can be satisfying…Sig never wanted to return to Manning Grove since it didn’t hold any good memories. Growing up a part of the Blood Fury MC ended up being a disaster and screwed up his life, which led to him spending most of it in and out of jail. But now he’s not only back, he’s sitting at the table as VP next to Trip, his half-brother who has … half-brother who has resurrected the MC from the ashes.
Still bitter about what went down twenty years ago, he’s now trying to move past it and stay out of jail for good. Until he finds a beaten and abused woman running through the woods, trying to escape her captors. Now all he can think about is revenge on the Shirley Clan, a group of sovereign citizens who follow no laws but their own. And if he isn’t careful, he might end up right back where he vowed to never go again. Behind bars.
Note: Blood & Bones: Sig is the second book in the Blood Fury MC series. As always, this book has no cheating, no cliffhanger and has an HEA. It’s recommended to read this series in order.
more
As the VP of Blood Fury, Sig has been hesitant to put roots down permanently. Too much blood had been spilled. Too many bad memories were reoccurring.
Red wants nothing more than to escape the nightmare she has lived for what has seemed forever. When she gets the chance to run, she takes it. Running right into Sig, she has to decide if she can trust the rough looking biker. Taking her fate and future into her own hands, she leaps into a world unlike anything she has experienced before.
Sig’s well known anger issues begin to compile and become explosive as he hears and sees more evidence of the abuse Red had experienced. Usually his outlet for his anger issues is an easy find, but with Red there he realizes he doesn’t want anyone but her. There is no way she would be willing to receive what he expects.
As Red begins to heal on the inside and out, she realizes the attraction for the rough biker will not be explored unless she makes the first move. But how can she expect Sig to look past what has happened to her when the nightmare seems to be neverending and the proof of her struggle is always present.
Can Sig and Red overcome their pasts? Will the danger Red was in disappear? Or will it continue to hunt her until they get what they feel is rightly theirs?
Every book I have cracked open of Jeanne St. James has never disappointed. Sig is no different. I will say the heaviness of the topic may not be for everyone as there are some trigger topics in the book. But St. James knows how to juggle the topic with a sensitivity that allows the reader to understand without being overwhelmed. I fell in love with Sig. Not just the book, but the man himself. His struggles and strengths were so realistic, I felt I was with him. I wish I was, so I could get an taste of the sexy biker. But I have a feeling if I tried, Red would kick my butt. Some may think she would be a timid mouse after everything that happened. But remember, the mouse scares the crap out of the elephant. So don’t underestimate Red, as she is such a strong heroine that finds her way through the loving hands of Sig. The passion was both delicate and explosive. The love was bold and demure. I cannot wait for more from Jeanne St. James! Her books rock! When I grow up, I wanna be just like her. 😉
I really didn’t know what to expect with Sig’s book. I knew it was going to be good but not all of the twists and turns in it. My heart broke for him and then flew back together. Amazing book and I am amazed at the talent Jeanne St James blesses us with.
What a fast paced, action packed book! Pulls you in from the start and holds you tight until the end. The characters are intense, have major trust issues but yet have an undeniable attraction to one another. This story line keeps you on the edge of your seat! A must read.
I voluntarily read and reviewed this book; all opinions expressed are my own.
Wow, Sig’s story was not what I was expecting but it left an amazing impression. This book starts off with action and danger and keeps the momentum throughout the pages. Sig is now the VP of the Blood Fury MC. He’s got demons that haunt him and is barely staying afloat. Autumn, or Red, is running from a dangerous situation. Sig finds her and is instantly drawn to her and wants to help her. This book was an intense, emotional, brilliant read. These characters took the terrible hand life dealt them and turned it around. This was a great addition to the series and I’m looking forward to the next book.
Blood & Bones: Sig by Jeanne St. James is an amazing story. This is the second book in the Blood Fury MC series. This book had me laughing, crying, angry, etc. I had all the feels. I could not put this book down. This book has drama, heat, romance, angst, each of the main characters have some emotional and physical issues and they all have baggage they need to work on, secrets. This book had me on an emotional roller coaster ride. It has romance, suspense, drama, intensity and feistiness of the characters. The book is well written and has very likeable characters. This is a must read. I can’t wait for the next book in this series. I highly recommend this book.
I received an advanced copy from the author for my honest review. WOW…..one simple word but it expresses so much when it comes to this book. Be ready for the emotional roller coaster Jeanne is going to take you on but once it’s over…..! When Sig was a boy life wasn’t perfect but it was what he knew…..he was only trying to make it right, then suddenly the life he knew was a lie. Sig the man needs no one…. then no one can hurt him again. Red had the perfect childhood….now she’s running for her life…can she trust him…trust them….will she be whole again? What is it about her? Why does he have to save her?
A DEFINITE MUST READ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I just don’t know how she does it. This story was such a roller coaster. It had you happy one minute then sad the next and then you were mad. This story had you clutching your book or eReader so tight u were afraid you were going to break it. Hands down one of the best books I have ever read.
omg jeanne can’t do no wrong. stories keep getting gooder and gooder. such a great story and honestly i loved it, couldn’t put it down.
This book was different than the other books by Ms.StJames and I really didn’t expect it to be so intense.I knew it would be about Sig and him coming out of prison and being vp of the reserected mc his 1/2brother Trip is working on.I was thrown when he finds Red running down the mountain and he rescues her from the hillbillies who raped her and got her pregnant. He was so broken and didn’t know how to deal with her and his new life that as the book progressed and his past is revealed no wonder he was messed up.Red has to sort out what to do with the baby and any future with Sig as she heals and is falling for him.It comes to a great conclusion and I highly recommend this book!I suggest you read Trip first to get the whole background story.
Sig’s devastating childhood led to some desperate decisions that resulted in him being incarcerated. He has now been released and has been welcomed by his brother Trip and the Blood Fury MC but he isn’t there because of love or loyalty but has his own personal agenda. He is unhappy with his past as well as his present and he doesn’t see much hope for the future until Red comes into his life.
Red remembers her life before the last year, but it seems like it happened a lifetime ago. Although she may have escaped the situation and ends up being rescued by Sig her journey is only beginning. She has been traumatized and not only doesn’t she know who she is anymore she doesn’t know how to accept what she has endured.
The feelings that she inspired in Sig is unlike anything he has ever felt before and all he wants to do is protect her and help her become the woman she is meant to be and she sees the man he is and not the mistakes he has made. Their journey is both heartbreaking and inspiring, but it is definitely one you don’t want to miss.
Oh, my! Be still my heart. Autumn (Red) and Sig both buried themselves deep in my soul. Their story grabbed me from the beginning and wouldn’t let go. I had so many things I needed to get done but couldn’t put the book down. Every time I tried, I picked it right back up. I just had to see what would happen next. In my opinion, this just might be Ms. St. James’ best story yet and that’s saying something since there hasn’t been one yet I haven’t loved. If you have triggers, please heed the warnings. There are references to events that could be triggers and there is violence, although never any between Red and Sig.
Both Red and Sig are broken. They have been through things no one should ever have to go through or be exposed to. However, both have a fighting spirit that the other can see, even if they can’t see it in themselves. Red, what an amazing woman she is. She is the rock Sig needs, and in doing so, becomes her own rock able to find her own strength. She has a giving heart as well, even with all she’s been though. Sig is that broken bad boy you just want to hold in your arms and fix. Although, it isn’t necessarily “fixing” he needs. He’s a protector and he’s got more love inside to give than he knows. The patience, understanding, and control he shows to Red made me fall for him from that first outstretched hand and continue to fall as he showed more of what was beneath that bad boy exterior.
I loved seeing their relationship develop. Their intimate moments, in the beginning, brought tears to my eyes. As someone who has trauma in their past, I appreciate that Red and Sig’s relationship developed slowly. It definitely made their story more realistic than the storylines that seem to skip past, just forget, and act like the past has no impact on the developing relationship. It was very well written.
*I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book. This is my honest review.*
I’m loving this new series and Sig is the icing on the cake! Sig is a complex man with a temper that landed him in prison more times than not. Never really belonging anywhere and when he shows up on his brother Tripp’s doorstep and learns his brother is trying to put the Blood Fury MC back on the map and not sure what part he’ll play if any, dependent upon how long he plans to stick around.
By luck or by chance he meets Autumn. She been through a horrible ordeal and in need of help. Usually that’s the last thing on Sig’s mind, but he can see she needs protecting. Both Autumn and Sig have pasts that they would both like to forget, so much pain and hurt, and with the help of people who love you, you can start to heal. Such an amazing story this author never ceases to amaze me and this new series is outstanding! I received a copy of this book.
Sig tore my heart out and then put it right back where it belonged by the very end! Sig was a complex character that lured me right into his story from the very beginning and kept me by his side through his journey from the moment that Autumn entered his life. Autumn was a strongly created character in her own right that basically made her a perfect match for Sig and exactly what he needed! I can’t wait for the next book in this series!!
When we met Sig in Trip’s book, I really didn’t think that there was any way he could be a loveable, functioning human. Sorry Jeanne st James for ever doubting you!
Sig is out riding when he finds a naked woman running through the forest. He takes her to his home and thus begins his journey to redemption.
The emotional pull this book has will leave you an emotional wreck! A well thought out second book in the series.
Sig is this author’s longest book and it is no wonder. Sig seemed like a hopeless case! He was born to an uncaring mother who lied to his abusive father telling him Sig was his when really he was the son of the man whom his mother continued to have relations with until they were caught ending with the death of both men and the MC that was his world. He shows up in town because Trip, his older half brother, offered a place for him to stay while on parole. Sig has spent most of his life in prison; he’s been dealt an unfair hand and is jealous and resentful that Trip inherited the farm and he got nothing. But as he’s riding his bike home from another utter failure, he meets someone in the woods who has been treated even worse by fate. As he takes on the protection and care of Red, his life begins to develop a purpose. More than two months and many trials we read on the edge of our seat later, my eyes filled with tears as Dr. Carly Bryson told Sig what a great person he was: only he could accomplish what she thought impossible! Sig is finding his place not only with Red but among the brothers of the MC and in the town where they live. Maybe he is good for something after all and can love and be loved in return! A simply great story but brutal! Highly recommended if you can take stomach twisting danger in a tender love story with much anger! I love being on this author’s ARC team and happily volunteered this review!
There was something in the intensity of this book that was so raw yet so profound for me. Yes. The passion and chemistry was there between red and sig. but there was more that that. There was an innate kinship in this couple that stood out more than the rest. There are definitely potential triggers in this book – but it brought these two lost souls together. This is such a unique book that it deserves a re-read and I’m so happy to have seen the transformation of red and sig that I hope to see more of in the series. Fantastic job!
So… I knew I loved books by Ms. St. James, but here I am thinking what had I just read and HOW could her stories get any better than the one that hat previously hooked me!
Sig is a half brother of Trip, and a VP of Blood Fury MS, so he has a high position in the hierarchy, he is a character that I needed especially in the male version, as his own demons were so deep and dark, and yet so alluring to me. He definitely had his bad moments but also he has a side that I had not expected of him (like a revelation!)
The girl from woods (won’t share her name or anything more) is an A-game in the characters with a past that made my dark and void would heartbeat for her – STRONGLY, and feel her in my body. The author brought dark events to a completely different level, it was something that had opened my eyes to some events that are happening even nowadays and made me sick… so sick…
I recommend taking a day off for this book as it’s so so GOOD you don’t want anything to disturb you!
Trust me – I know what I’m saying – I almost forgot about work!
After finishing Trip’s book I was certain Judge’s book would be next. So color me surprised that Sig would have his story told next and boy what a story it was.
This book is not for the faint of heart. Sig & Red are both two very broken people, and when I read what had happened to them both it was at times not only hard to read but also extremely happy that they could be the best version of themselves they could be by being together.
Jeanne once again has shown why I have to read every single book she releases. And I am beyond excited that she writes super quick and I will finally get my hands on Judge’s book.
I voluntarily reviewed an advanced readers copy of this book.
OMG! What an amazing story!
Sig is my favorite book by Jeanne so far! I can’t express how much I loved it! Sig has had a hard life. When he finds Red running for her life, he’s going to protect her no matter what. He’s trying to do the right thing although he doesn’t think he’s good enough. He has his own demons to fight and so does Red. Somehow Sig and Red will have to find the strength to get through everything and survive. Together they can do anything! I absolutely loved this story! Thank you Jeanne for writing the most amazing stories! I can’t wait for Judge’s story! It can’t get here fast enough!
I absolutely loved this book.
The story was very well written and
had my attention from page one.
Sig and Red had loads of steamy chemistry.
Sig finds Autumn running down a hill naked
and pregnant. She’s on the run from a terrible family.
Sig has some demons of his own.
There is lots of Blood Fury MC action.
I would recommend this book to others.
