This was a view of a life hard to imagine, but real. The adjustments and trade offs people make during a lifetime, and this character is not yet finished, is remarkable.
What a lot of life she’s packed into her short years! Fascinating. I would love to have her at my table and talk and eat for hours.
Author was a bit of a whiner. More about her than the food/cooking, which is not what I was looking for.
