She was the puppet. He pulled the strings. Now the death toll is rising, what could this mean?It was all a game.Of feelings.Of pain.Death is just an illusion, or so they say. She was just a pawn on a piece of his demented board. But there’s only one question left to settle the score…Can dead people really stay dead?
Ms Soto is one who likes to leave us on the edge of our seats wondering what on earth we just read. This book does not disappoint. It was a nail biter from the start and this review couldn’t be written until I had gotten over my shock.
She makes you feel like you are right there with the characters, and often you’ll find yourself screaming at your kindle.
Cannot wait for book 3!
What the what??? How did I not know this was a trilogy? I thought it was a duet! I was up all night reading Deception and Chaos and then Blood and Chaos because I NEEDED to know how it ended. I got to the end of Blood and Chaos and THERE’S ANOTHER BOOK!!! This book was absolutely epic! A pulse pounding, heart racing, twisty turny ride that had me holding my breath and racing through the pages to find out what happened next. I love SM Soto’s style of writing. It’s very crisp and clear and easy to read. This book was all story, not a bunch of descriptive filler. I absolutely loved this book and I need the third one right now!
I couldn’t find or feel the authors true voice
I really struggled with this book. I wanted to love it after all the rave reviews, but alas it fell short. I struggle with this author finding her voice. I feel like the story was all over the place. With every author they have their own voice when writing, this felt jagged and off. I felt the same in book 1, but gave book 2 a try in hopes that this would author would find her authentic voice. There is something off. I really hope S.M. Soto figures out her voice and I hope that she immerses herself in it and it comes out in book 3.
– [ ] I just need to say this….Creed MotherF@&king Sabella!!!!!!!!This book picks up right where Deception and Chaos left off. I cannot say enough of how much this series has sucked me in and I cannot wait for the next book since theses all end in major cliffhangers! Creed is perfect and we get his full personality in this book as he must turn to his family for help. Sophia is a strong heroine that has endured so much and it’s not over just yet for her. Told in multiple POV; I cannot say to much as I don’t want to give anything away but if you love a true dark, romantic suspense with twists this is the series for you!
I received an ARC in return for an honest review. I was eager to continue reading the story of Sophia and Creed. Just like the first book this one is not for the faint of heart. This continuation is just as brutal for Sophia and Creed. My only issue was that Sophia pushes to go to a park when she knows the threat is still there. Stay in the house! What more needs to happen to you for you to just listen to what Creed tells you?! Of course, it ends in another cliffhanger. I am anxious to see what happens next!
“Sophia so desperately thought she was tainted— like a crushed, damaged human being, incapable of being whole again, but that’s where she was wrong. Sophia is the definition of purity and innocence, caught up in a world of violence.”
“I broke the only promise that mattered— I swore no one would ever hurt her again. And I fucking failed. Sophia would never trust me again.”
The Chaos series continues with book two, Blood and Chaos by S.M. Soto and what a rollercoaster of emotions and drama this one was. In striving to keep this review completely free of spoilers, I have opted to also keep it very short. (Trust me, you’ll thank me for that later) Blood and Chaos picks up where the epic cliffhanger that Deception and Chaos ended on. And can I just say that S.M. Soto has solidified herself as a favorite author of mine with this series. Although originally I believed this to be a duet, it is in fact a trilogy so that crazy train is not complete with book two. However, per the author, the third and final book will be releasing in February so do not let that stop you from reading this book now!
Diavolo Sabella. A killer. A machine. A fucking Ghost.
“Because I’m the fucking Ghost,” I say quietly, with an edge to my tone. “And I always find my intended target.” I stare through Garrett, not even seeing him, the only thing I see is vengeance and a bloodbath.
The Chaos series is well written and unpredictable. I didn’t know what to expect. Also, while readers did have to wait longer than initially expected for the second book (and the third for that matter), these books are well worth that additional time the author took to write the story. I have read both books in this series while sitting on the very edge of my seat with a pounding heart and I couldn’t recommend them more! With Blood and Chaos, we get far more of Creed’s perspective and this true dual perspective romance left me literally stunned. I couldn’t even form a sentence of this review for the first day after I finished reading it. If you like jaw-dropping suspense and extra seXXXy reads—this book was downright erotic!—you simply cannot go wrong. It feels like Creed and Sophia will never get to be together happily—everything stands between them and love is the only link they have. As I read Blood and Chaos, the question of whether love is really a weakness or a strength ran through my head on a constant loop. While I don’t have an answer for that yet, I can tell you that there is definitely something to be said for the way that Creed loves Sophia. This pair has literally walked through the fires of hell to be together and I can’t wait to see what S.M. Soto has in store for us in the final book, Love and Chaos. Giving Blood and Chaos five stars is simply unjust… Make sure you’ve checked out Deception and Chaos and Blood and Chaos long before the last installment releases in February…
“There was something about him that made me feel very small when I was around him, but he also made me feel safe. Something that even now, still surprises me. He’s raw, untapped power, but he’s also gentle and at times, a sea of calm. He’s a walking contradiction, and I love him for it.”
I finished this book ages ago, but I couldn’t leave reviews them, but here I am.
This story broke me; it’s brutal, the first book was terrific, but book two is even better.
Creep made us glue to our Kindles, a fine specimen of alpha male.
I have all these feelings, reading this book, I got myself shouting to my kindle, how this is possible, common!
The author destroyed your heart in tiny million pieces, and then she glued to kill again, I love this game, because I keep coming back.
My heart was pounding so severely reading this book, and I love every minute of it.
My heart didn’t just break reading this, it freaking exploded!
Just amazing!!!
This is the second in the trilogy and it continues much in the same vein as the first! Action, adventure, steamy romance and drama. As before, if the theme of human trafficking and other graphic violence isn’t for you, you’ll want to take a pass or skim some parts.
We get to see Creed at his most dark in this one, and Sophia again is trapped in the hands of someone who means to do her harm. It’s another fast-paced adventure to get her back to safety, as well as her friend Alexis. There’s another cliffhanger ending so be prepared for that. We should get the third installment by the end of February though, and I can’t wait! If you like to have them all to binge at one time, you probably want to wait.
Adventure, drama, intense romance – it’s all here!
Okay, WOW. Soto’s writing is pure magic. She is one of the most enchanting authors I have ever read. She has the ability to put you under a spell with the words on the pages and lure you deep into her world. It is one of the most beautiful experiences. It’s been awhile I have enjoyed a book THIS much.
Soto has mastered the ART, or suspense writing. When I use caps, I mean business. She plants these little seeds as she writes that you notice at first but dont realize they take root, and when you least expect it, they break the ground and change everything.
This book, heck, this series is one of my all time favourites, and I do not say this lightly. When I read this book, all else disappears. I’m transported into Soto’s words and I am held captive there.
Let’s not forget the romance in this book. *swoon* I absolutely love the balance of plot ro romance in Soto’s writing. It works brilliantly and effectively. She alternates between important plot driving scenes and sexy as heck scenes and just, WOW. It’s just magical.
4.5 romantic suspense stars
Every year I try to broaden my reading horizons a little further by allowing myself to explore books previously placed on the “outside my comfort zone” shelf. By choosing to take this step, and extending my risk to a new to me author known as S.M. Soto, I made a big mistake. Someone should have warned me that she is so darn addictive!! I do NOT have time in my life to STALK another author!! LOL!!
What have you done to me?!
This is the ride of a lifetime for dark romance suspense lovers. Book 2 sets out to make you question everything you think you figured out in Book 1. In short, it’s pure CHAOS! (I’d love to see the author’s notes on this plot…wowza). You MUST read Book 1 first…you’ll love it. To be more specific, and throw in a dash of honesty…you’ll love to hate it! Yeah, it’s THAT kind of story. The one that keeps you up at night swearing to yourself that you’re “just gonna read one more chapter”, lol, good luck with that! *insert evil laugh*
The author writes with unapologetically raw detail and takes a cheese grater to your emotions. You cannot walk away. A unique and super-sized treat for dark romance enthusiasts.
They say true friendship is a gift. For Sophia Cova, giving such a gift may end up costing her her life. Placing her faith in the wrong man sets her up on a dangerous course shrouded in evil and pure malice that was years in the making. Knowing whom to trust seems to be an impossible task.
There are twists and turns at every dark and dusty corner of this plot. A Chaos Coordinator would not be able to help you navigate the coordinates of this one!
Mind. Bending. Fun.
With so many characters playing their own games, pulling strings, trying to meet their own objectives, and battling their own emotions, this chaotic storyline will have you encapsulated and enslaved. Those daring enough to take a walk on the dark side of love, will be consumed with the intensity, mystery, and grit. Definitely a guilty pleasure here.
Debts must be paid. Vengeance must be had. Blood will be shed.
Only one questions remains to save Sophia and protect her desire for love and a happily ever after….
Do you believe in Ghosts?
#AllHailCreed
YES, YES, YES! I am totally in love with S.M. Soto’s writing. Blood and Chaos was freaking amazing! It is the continuation of Deception and Chaos, the story of Creed and Sophia and their desperate attempt to love each other through the craziness and destruction of their lives.
S.M. Soto weaves an intricate and, at times, bloody tale seamlessly. Her characters are amazing and the plot is absolutely flawless.
I am dying for the final book in the series, Love and Chaos.
Heart wrenching, suspenseful, true love, and dark would describe this book for me. One of the best books I’ve read so far in 2019!!
To say this book slayed me would be an understatement. I could not get enough of this book and couldn’t stop reading. The suspense, love, mystery and pure anger that was in this book will keep you going until you realize you are at the end. I felt so much sorrow for Sophie. She has been through so much in this story. I got sick thinking about what she’s going through and trying to protect what she has. Creed is sick and anxious over what has happened. The fear he feels is overwhelming.
As the story develops, he does what he thinks is for the best and the bad guys still come and attack. I can’t wrap my brain around why they want her so bad. The frustration I felt was overwhelming as well. The ending about killed me as well. I need Love and Chaos now. I need to know what happens!!

“She had a wild, wandering soul but when she loved, she loved with chaos and that made all the difference.” – Ariana Dancu
Blood and Chaos is the continuation of Sophia and Creed’s chaotic love story. The ending from the previous installment killed me. I didn’t know what will happen, who will make it, and if Sophia and Creed will get their HEA. There was no slow movement within this story. Everything was action packed and quite suspenseful. There were also those moments that left you all hot and bothered. Creed… Enough. Said. Of course, there is one more installment to this series, which is Love and Chaos. I can’t wait for the conclusion. Creed and Sophia needs those happy moments in the midst of so much chaos.
Madness is going on. S. M. Soto, you’re a real master, and now I gotta wait for the continuation, because that’s the end now. This is the END itself.
As in the previous volume, we can see the events from Sophie and Creed’s perspectives.
The plot is dynamic all the time, which is disturbing to me. I found it difficult to follow. But I really needed this boost; that’s what made this so exciting. In general, we can read it in the present time, but we can look back in time in Sophie’s dreams.
In a large part of the book I wanted so desperately to make it happen the way I thought it to happen, but it didn’t. I was particularly glad it wasn’t a cliché. It was a unique experience for me.

I love that this picks up where Deception left off. Full of twist and turns, a definite roller coaster ride. Hold on it’s a bumpy ride and will leave you wanting more.
I’ve been itching to get my hands on this and I wasn’t disappointed- picking up where Deception and Chaos left off, we’re thrown straight back into the action, the story is fast paced and full of twists and turns. Full of action and drama, I didn’t want to put it down! I cannot wait for the 3rd and final instalment of Sophia and Creed’s story!
5 “Bring the Chaos” Stars
WHAT IN THE ACTUAL F@&%!!! Just as soon as I’m getting all comfortable and anticipating the next course of action, BOOM, I’ve reached the end. S.M. what even woman, you’re going to do me like that?! Why must you play with my emotions like that? My feelings are all over the damn place and I’m still trying to settle my heart.
I didn’t think it was possible to fall even more for Creed. But here I was, falling and falling and falling more irrevocably in love with him. And that’s saying something because of who Creed is. But my gosh there is so much more to who Creed is other than his profession. The way he’ll go to the ends of the earth to protect the one person who has brought light to his dark world speaks volumes. He’ll do anything and everything for her no matter the consequences.
I have a little bone to pick with Sophia. Don’t get me wrong I like her, but sometimes girl just needs to listen. I get she doesn’t like to be told how things are going to go, but more often than not it’s for her own good and safety. We’ll see if in the conclusion things change or not.
Blood and Chaos is full of suspense. Action at every turn of the page that’ll have you on the edge of your seat. Your heart will be stuck in your throat. A whirlwind of emotions that had me feeling every single thing.
Don’t mind me, I’ll just be over here biting my nails waiting for the conclusion to this dark and gritty goodness.
5- Stars!
The perfect continuation of the Chaos series! The cliffhanger from Deception and Chaos left me bouncing my knee in anticipation of this release and it did NOT disappoint! This book was everything I’d hoped for and then some. Blood and Chaos also ends in a major cliff hanger that I both expected and appreciated! This author never fails to leave me craving her next words!
Creed continued to prove that he’s the man! No matter how dark and twisted he is, deep down he just wants to love and be loved by his angel, Sophia. Sophia once again proves what a strong, determined and bad-ass heroine she is! Her will to live and protect her unborn child was incredibly moving and her love for Creed never wavered. Do not underestimate her!
So much blood shed, fury, commotion and drama took place in this book and it was a thrill to read! Twists and turns around every corner, leaving me not wanting to put the book down! You never knew what was coming next or who could be trusted, much like in book 1.
I just love S.M. Soto’s overall savagery and writing style. You feel like you’re right there in the book, sidled up next to the characters and experiencing they’re going through. This read is completely dark and haunting, even squeamish in parts. And I loved every minute of it!
So we pick back up right where we left off in Book 1, and the heart palpitations already started. It seems as if these two are doomed, it seems as if all will never be right in the world until they are reunited. The title was so very fitting for this book because there was Blood shed and there was Deception.
We get to see way more of Creed in this book – and let me tell you how NOT MAD about it I am! You are definitely faced with a catch 22 situation in this book. You want to see them together but at what cost? I loved how the author played with the theme of love being a weakness or a strength? Are people together better or separate? Can you be separate with a love that strong? The way those underlying plots were woven in were beautifully written and kept me interested.
I honestly do not see how Sophia is alive. I honestly hate her capturer (trying not to spoil it for anyone who hasn’t read Book 1). I honestly love the two of them together so much that I was DYING for it. While there was some blood involved, there was definitely some love and it made my heart have palpitations in a different way!
Book 2 leaves us with another cliffhanger but I honestly do not mind. I cannot wait to see what ending S.M. Soto will give us. This book has been a killer read for me and I can definitely give it 5 full stars for the action packed drama and scorching romance scenes!
While book 1 left me in a crumpled mess this book picks up right where book 1 left off (for which I would highly recommend close reads) and took me on a ride. I felt this one to be a little darker as it was much more Creed and his family but the intensity of Creed and Sophia’s relationship is all encompassing. In the midst of everything I found myself teary in a part of this book showing just how well the author wove a magical tale that captures me. I love the dynamics of all the players in this story and how the author kept me on my toes not knowing who I can trust as well as what is going to happen next.
Masterpiece!!!
