A country boy who hates Christmas for a reason, dammit… infuriatingly pretty she might be.
A city girl who loves Christmas…
Bonnie Patterson adores Christmas, so when her best friend Jennifer invites her to spend Christmas at the Miller farm, she jumps at the chance. When she sets out for the snowy country town, she has visions dancing in her head of cozy nights by a crackling fire, not of a hot cowboy with an ice-cold heart.
The Storm of the Century…
Instead of a peaceful holiday in the country, Bonnie gets stranded at the Miller farm by a blizzard. Even worse, she’s snowed-in with Luke, an arrogant, impossible, but damn sexy cowboy.
When the sparks fly, will two people who are oh-so-different find their own Christmas miracle?
Blizzard of Love is the second novella in the Long Valley world, although all books in the Long Valley world can be read as standalones. This is a sweeter romance with minimal sex and mild language. Enjoy!

Luke, Stentson’s best friend, and Bonnie, Jennifer’s best friend, are stuck along with Stentson, Jennifer and Carmelita two days from Christmas due to a huge blizzard little they know that love will sparks between them. A sweet love story in Christmas time. I received a free copy of this book and I voluntarily reviewed it.
I have enjoyed all of Erin Wright’s Long Valley stories and this one is a special treat set at Christmastime! It can certainly be read as a standalone but I really urge you to read the rest of the stories in the Long Valley series – they are all great!
In Blizzard of Love, Luke Nash, a farmer in the Valley who plans on spending Christmas alone, accepts an invitation from his best friend, Stetson (“Stets”) Miller to spend the holiday weekend with Stets and his wife, Jennifer. As Luke’s best friend, Stets knows Luke didn’t have any plans and was just going to be home alone. Jennifer, in the meantime, unknowing that Stets has invited Luke, extends an invitation to her best friend Bonnie, an accountant who lives in a large city about 90 minutes south and is also alone for the holidays, to join she and Stets for Christmas.
Let me say right now that the way that Luke and Bonnie meet for the first time is hilarious! City girl and country boy – both making assumptions about the other. Things get even more complicated when Stetson, Jennifer, Luke and Bonnie find themselves snowed in and with no power. After a long night of everyone huddled in their sleeping bags in front of the fireplace for warmth, things begin to heat up between Luke and Bonnie. But Bonnie lives in the city miles from Long Valley and Luke owns a farm in the Valley. Can the magic of mistletoe and a Christmas miracle bring them together? Such a great feel-good, heartwarming story!
Loved the whole series
Blizzard of Love is a wonderful quick read.
At Christmas a couple meet accidentally in the home of friends. A blizzard keeps them together longer than planned and they fall in love.
Light hearted romantic book with great characters.
Short story in series. They both get invited to friends for Christmas…. And end up falling very fast in very bad week long snowstorm. Over next several months she keeps coming for weekends, but they cannot figure out how she can stay. Friends finally find a way. Very short story. Easy, short, clean pleasant read.
Awesome book Awesome writer
Enjoyed this short story
When you. Drive 90 minutes to visit your friend the last thing you expect to find is a sexy cowboy and a major blizzard. Can yep people do vastly different really fall in lo be and find each other and true love?
Cute entertaining short story!!
A great, well written and sweet love story.
The characters are believable and easy to like.
While this was a shorter book, it still hits you with all the feels.
You have polar opposites, Luke and Bonnie. Bonnie loves Christmas and everything having to do with it. Luke does not. However, both of them get wrangled into going to their friends house for Christmas where they meet. Their first meet up is quiet memorable.
I loved reading about them softening towards each other and the spark igniting. I also liked that there was a little suspense in here also. Blizzards are not something to mess with.
This was a great story where you get to watch Bonnie and Luke fall in love but you also get a continuations of Stetson and Jennifer. This book can be a standalone but it is fun to read after book one.
In Blizzard of Love, Luke and Bonnie have separately accepted invitations to the Miller ranch for Christmas. Everyone gets snowed in by a huge storm and the power goes out. Can this city girl and country boy find an HEA? You will have to read it to find out!
I love all of Erin Wright’s books set in Long Valley – no matter what series.
Blizzard of Love is a novelette, and can be read in an evening. Despite its length, however, it is a well written entertaining read. Luke and Bonnie’s initial meeting is hilarious and a real ice breaker, snow and ice being the defining factor of this book. The connecton between them is palpable in the fish bowl setting with three other people present. When a storm downs the electricity, the small group of people are forced to share a room to preserve heat and candle light. Luke is so certain that he will never marry and certainly not to a city dweller, and makes his feelings clear. Disappointed, Bonnie accepts his verdict and when the snow clears, leaves the farm with a heavy heart. This is a clean holiday romance that I found refreshing. I received a copy of this book as a gift and this is my honest and voluntary review.
This is such a sweet love story. Two people, Luke and Bonnie, happen to be thrown together by mutual friends and Mother Nature over Christmas. They are just spending time together and their attraction develops organically to the point of something long lasting. But, there are some bumps in the road that need to be worked out. In the end, Luke and Bonnie figure out what is most important.
