I can’t escape the vulnerability of motherhood.
The rage fueling me since my brother’s murder is no longer powerful enough to carry me forward. I want to create a simple life in the Spanish countryside and prepare for motherhood. For the sake of the life growing inside me, I must forge ahead without Robert’s help, Mulberry’s devotion, or my own anger determining my path.
The criminal cartel … path.
The criminal cartel seeking to destroy Joyful Justice plans to crumble the foundation of the vigilante network by killing me.
But I’m dangerous prey—more deadly than ever.

Wow, what a ride! Joyful Justice is in the crosshairs of a crime syndicate bent on destroying them. This installment gives us multiple POV’s of key players and how they find their way through the chaos all with a target on their backs. Sydney adjusting to her limitations with her changing body and Blue by her side. Mulberry, Dan, and Lennox all trying to find ways to make things right in their worlds.
How far is too far? Where will Joyful Justice go from here? These are all questions I found myself asking. I can’t wait to find out.
Pregnant and confused, Sydney needs to sort out her personal and professional life. She tries to get away to think but it seems peope are trying to kill her wherever she goes. Dan gets some bad news about his mom and ends up getting arrested when he goes to see her. Lennox and Petra find themselves in a tough spot. Lots of action, lots of character development. Another great Sydney Rye adventure. I can’t wait to find out what is next for this cast of characters.
Once again Sydney takes us on a journey. I don’t even know where to began in this review. Sydney is pregnant and seems to need a much needed time out. We know that that is never going to happen. Things take a turn I am not sure if it was good or bad at the time for her. She finds everywhere she goes she isn’t safe. Someone always is out to get her. I hope everything is going to end well for Sydney. The end left me with questions about Sydney’s future. There is a lot of different story lines to catch up with everyone. I know you are going to love this book it was great to reconnect with all our favorite characters. Great read for a summer weekend.
Blind Vigilance – a review by Rosemary Kenny
Vigilance is definitely the name of the game in Book 13 of Emily Kimelman’s outstanding Sydney Rye Mysteries series.
Newly-pregnant Sydney’s at the centre of a struggle, both personal and professional, as she has to decide whom she can trust, if anyone but Blue, her faithful four-legged companion and protector – besides herself – when the chips are down and nothing is as it seems.
They say love is blind and that may be the case here, between friends, lovers – and the object(s) of their sometimes perverse affections.
You need to get a copy as soon as possible – but be vigilant as to who you reveal Sydney Rye’s secrets to – there are none as blind as those who will not see, that Emily Kimelman’s spellbinding story, Blind Vigilance, is so special that they should buy their own copy – or miss out. Spread the word!!
