New York Times bestseller Brenda Novak’s Evelyn Talbot series returns, with a heavily pregnant Evelyn being held hostage. With Jasper Moore, the privileged boy who attacked her when she was only sixteen, finally caught and in prison, Dr. Evelyn Talbot, founder and head psychiatrist at Hanover House (a prison/research facility for psychopaths in remote Alaska), believes she can finally quit looking … psychopaths in remote Alaska), believes she can finally quit looking over her shoulder. She’s safe, happier than she’s ever been and expecting her first child. She’s also planning to marry Amarok, her Alaska State Trooper love interest and the town’s only police presence.
But before the wedding can take place, a psychopath from the much more recent past comes out of nowhere and kidnaps her in broad daylight. Instead of planning her wedding, Evelyn finds herself doing everything she can to survive, save her baby and devise some way to escape while Amarok races the clock to find her – before it’s too late.

A breathlessly suspenseful story… Leave a light on tonight!
Brenda Novak’s novels have it all: a mystery that keeps me guessing, a romance with heart and sizzle, and endings I don’t see coming. Thank you, Ms. Novak, for the hours of entertainment!
Kind of interesting, but I found that, as a first time reader of the series, I was lost because there were so many refences to people from previous books.
Blind Spot (The Evelyn Talbot Chronicles #4) was another great read by Brenda Novak. Jasper Moore is finally caught and in prison, so Evelyn believes that she can finally stop looking over her shoulder. She’s now happily planning her wedding to Amarok and is expecting their first child. Unfortunately a psychopath from their past comes back and kidnaps Evelyn in broad daylight. I really loved reading more in Evelyn’s story and can’t wait to read more by Brenda Novak.
I enjoyed Blind Spot. Having only read Hanover House and Blind Spot I will definitely be going back to read the other three books in this series. Having spent ten years working in a prison and dealing with maximum security inmates including death row, I want to address a complaint someone else had about the book. When you work in a prison you do not get special treatment or extra protection because you are pregnant. Also it is completely believable that a serial killer would wait years for the chance to get the person they are fixated on.
What can I say, I love Brenda Novak books. Always exciting with twists and turns. Keep them coming Brenda.
Loved the book. Wished there was a little more information at the end as to some of the characters. But over all, fantastic book.
4 1/2 STARS!
Exhilarating from start to finish! BLIND SPOT is the much-anticipated fourth full-length novel in Brenda Novak’s The Evelyn Talbot Chronicles series and picks up shortly after the previous book left off. Just when things were looking like they would be slowing to a normal life for Evelyn and Amarok and their baby-to-be, Evelyn embarks on yet another fight for her life when a more recent psychopath kidnaps her.
As detailed descriptions wrap around us, we embark immediately on a journey of terror with Evelyn as she’s locked up and has no clue who has her. She quickly sets forth a plan to fight for the life of her unborn child harder than she’s ever fought before, showcasing the strong character she’s been throughout the series.
Amarok is desperate to figure out who has taken Evelyn and where they are holding her. He goes up against all obstacles to try to get even a hint of a lead to go on in his search. He remains the amazingly supportive man we’ve seen by her side, and shows an additional softer side of him as his worry turns into desperation.
I highly recommend this book, and this series as a whole. To fully appreciate the plight in each book, I recommend you read in order from prequel through each full-length novel there after (Hanover House, Her Darkest Nightmare, Hello Again, Face Off and ending with Blind Spot). The only thing that would have made it complete for me as a die-hard fan of the series was more time with Evelyn and Amarok together and especially seeing how their future played out. Loved the series!
This is another terrifying book in the Evelyn Talbot series. This is so not my favorite genre, but as with any Brenda Novak book I couldn’t put it down.
The things that happen to this poor woman are just mind boggling. If I didn’t know that her love interest, Amarok, would come through for her in the end, there is no way I would read these. So if suspense, psychopaths and all related stuff is your thing, you are going to love this series!
Well what can I say about this book? Wow, wow, wow! It was a page turner, suspense filled book. I was glued to this book and found it hard to put down. Brenda Novak knows how to grab a reader and not let them go until the very end. I have loved the relationship between Amarok and Evelyn from the very first time they got together. I am glad Jasper got what was coming to him in prison as well. Thank you Brenda for such a good series right from “Hanover House” to “Blind Spot”.
The last book in the series. The closure I have been looking for in Evelyn’s story, finally happens. Brenda Novak did an excellent job serving up justice to the psychopaths taunting Evelyn and Amarok. Thank goodness Lyman Bishop and Jasper Moore were dealt with appropriately. I look forward to reading a new series and falling in love with the characters Brenda comes up with next.
Phenomenal Series
The Evelyn Talbot series is fantastic starting with Hanover House!
First if you haven’t read the other three books that go in this Evelyn talbot series I strongly encourage you to read them first it’ll make this book understanding. This book has it all and only Brenda Novak could put marriage kidnapping babies being born serial killers on the loose all-in-one book so perfectly I was blown away with the story once I picked it up I could not put it down until I was done! Amarok in Evelyn’s relationship and bond is so strong and amazing but to see it come together and fighting for each other the weighted that there’s book really was inspirational. I cannot wait to the next book in the series it is definitely a must-read for all who loves a suspenseful story there will leave you wanting more!
Brenda did a great job right off the bat of setting the scene of the book by having Evelyn held captive. I think no matter if you have read the previous books or not it grabbed your attention right away and will keep you until the end.
This book has romance but not as much as the previous ones because it is concentrating on Amarok finding Evelyn and the baby. So if you liked that in the previous books you might be a little disappointed.
In regards to the storyline I think that she moved at the appropriate pace, gave you the right amount of information and it flowed. I don’t think it felt choppy at all. In addition, i appreciated as a reader that because I only read the first book and now the fourth that I could pick it up and be able to read after a little bit and know what happened in the previous two books.
Overall I think this was a good book that held my attention to the very end. If you are looking for a thriller with a very small amount romance then this is the right book for you. Brenda did not disappoint.
Love this series. I was a little worried when the last book ended, wondering where Novak would go with this series. I need not worry, because this one was the best one yet! It had different view points. Evelyn is kidnapped from her front yard (I am not giving anything away, this happens at the beginning of the book), but you don’t know who could have done it. Then when you find out, you will be so surprised, especially if you have read the other books in the series. All I can say is, don’t plan anything when you get ready to read this, because you won’t want to put it down.
OMG Brenda has hit it out of the park again with this one! It was a great book to complete the Evelyn Talbot series! I really am sad to see this series end. All of the books have been so exciting and this one is the frosting on the cake! Thank you Brenda for writing such wonderful books!
I have loved all of the books in this series but have found this book to be a bit predictable. I definitely recommend to others.
THE FINALE
This is the final act to the Evelyn Talbot Hanover House Suspense series. Another block buster of Brenda Novak’s. The characters from the previous books are all brought together to a HEA (but can be read as a stand-alone) conclusion. This story kept me guessing how it was going to end throughout-Keep your lights on & doors locked. My heart was breaking for Amarok & Evelyn. Always loved Ms. Novak’s work & highly recommend this book.
Another intense and nerve-wracking installment in the Evelyn Talbot series is in my hands, and I devoured it in hours. Amarok races as against time itself, to save the woman he loves and their unborn child from unknown horrors, with no leads and an unforgiving country with unlimited hiding places. Pushing himself beyond exhaustion and defeatism he does everything in his power to find her. Evelyn has never been one to go down without a fight, especially to protect her unborn daughter, so thata exactly what she does. She watches, and waits, determined to save herself, though things have never seemed scarier and time is definitely of the essence. When she discovers who truly is behind her abduction, she takes matters into her own hands, terrified of a fate worse than death could ever be. Will their love make them stronger as one does everything in her power to stay alive and the other breaks every rule he has to find her? You do not want to miss the latest installment!
