Well I have to say, for a debut book I thought this was really quite well written. Yes there may have been the odd part where it was tiny bit jerky like most new authors seem to do, but overall I was impressed. The story part was good, the bedroom action was steamy (love the MMF) and there was enough “other stuff” to give a good introduction to the MC itself. I think for me personally it could have done with a bit more “on screen” action though. A lot of the deeds were done behind the scenes so to speak, and we learnt about them after the fact, but then I like the darker stuff so want to see the blood and gore lol but that’s just me. A good first book and I see a lot of potential in Shannon Heighton Hicks. I give Blind Love 4 stars.
This fascinating debut novel keeps readers glued to the pages with lots of volcanic passion and adrenaline pumping excitement. The characters are strong, charismatic and leap from the pages as they grab readers’ attentions from the very beginning. The romance is sweet and emotionally charged as Claire falls two smoking hot men and like all relationships it has its ups and downs, it full of emotional strife and the chemistry is smoking hot. The relationship keeps readers in suspense of whether or not these three will be able to make a go of it or not throughout the story and the author ensures that readers want to know every last detail of that relationship by bringing her characters to vivid life with well written words that paint vivid imagery.
The plot has a fast pace and flows smoothly from pages with lots of thrilling suspense, exhilarating danger and surprising twists. Readers are glued to the pages as the events regarding a stalker who has target Claire and events involving the men of the Iron Back Warriors MC play out. The author has created a fascinating world and her MC has a few different elements that make it stand out from others and since all of the MC male are fascinating and super-hot, readers will definitely want more.
This book…..gah, I just absolutely adored this book. It’s everything I look for in a book. So much drama, so much of…..just everything. I can’t even put into words how much I loved this book.
Claire starts off as a very innocent, very typical woman. As the story continues, and we begin to dig deeper into her character, we see that she isn’t what she is first portrayed to be. She is so much more. She is daring, and open minded, and still at times very vulnerable. There are layers to her that aren’t seen at first glance, and makes her a very complex character.
Priest is very complex. At the beginning of the story, we see one side of his personality, then through circumstances beyond his control, he morphs into someone very different. This creates a situation that comes back to haunt him later, and almost destroys what they could have.
This book was so full of surprises! I never knew what was coming next, and there were definitely things I never saw coming. Since this is the first book I’ve read by this author, I wasn’t sure what to expect, but I’m totally in love. I think I may have found a new favorite author. This book is definitely worth reading, and doesn’t disappoint!
