Being strong doesn’t mean you have to be alone… Diagnosed as legally blind, Lauren’s world is a beautiful blur of color. She hasn’t allowed her limitations to stop her from building a successful career or gaining her independence. When she meets her new neighbor, the man’s warm Texas accent and clean male scent weaken her knees. But her attraction to the former Marine is an entanglement her … an entanglement her heart can’t afford.
Gabe avoids complications at all costs. He has his motives for indulging in short-term flings, but the feisty, green-eyed Lauren makes him want to forget every single one. When a woman from his past disappears, the reasons he should have steered clear of Lauren become painfully apparent.
Pasts and futures collide, secrets unravel, hearts break, and innocent lives hang in the balance.
Warning: Contains a blind therapist who doesn’t consider herself impaired; a meddling, erotic-novel-writing best friend; a hot ex-Marine with a shady past; and a loyal guide dog that howls “I love you” and is probably the sanest one of the bunch.
2nd edition. Blind Love was originally published under Samhain Publishing. This edition has been updated with new scenes, a change in the ending, and a fresh new cover.

I read this book when it was first released and enjoyed it. I read it again when it was edited and re-released. Wow! The changes added a whole new layer to the characters of Lauren and Gabe. The secondary characters are thoughtful and likable. I want to know what happens to them after I close the book. The author even had me sympathizing with the ex! Add in Jack Sparrow, the faithful howling German shepherd and oila! The author has created a perfect combination of action, suspense, sizzle, and happy ending!
I just loved this book I was pulled in and hooked right from the first couple of chapters. This was a super read there is something here for everyone it was really well written with a good interesting plot and I just loved the love/hate relationship between Lauren and Gabriel they had great chemistry and were both fantastic characters this was a super read and I would recommend it
Lauren is nearly blind, and she trusts completely her best friend Jack, the guide dog that always takes care of her. She still hasn’t turned the page on a part of her life where her ex-husband cheated on her crumbling all her life.
Gabe is a mystery in himself. He is a good person, that’s for sure but tormented by his past.
I have to say that this book was a complete surprise for me. It is well-written, the characters well-develop and full of mystery, tension and several turns I didn’t see coming at all.
This book grips you from the beginning and doesn’t let go till the end. I didn’t want it to end. What a beautiful story!!! Even the supporting characters are great. There is so much emotion, along with chemistry and passion. I definitely recommend this book!!

I enjoyed this book so much that I read it in one sitting. I really enjoy stories about believable, strong characters, and both Gabe and Lauren were definitely that. Lauren’s ex Ben and her friend Sunny were well-developed supporting characters. I really want to hear their stories, as well. I also love stories that show people with disabilities (though I hate that word) as real human beings with real emotions, and who are strong and independent, not letting their disabilities hold them back in life. There was great dialog, wonderful character development, nicely done steamy scenes (not overly descriptive), sweet moments, and unexpected suspense. In short, a bit of everything!
There was one important aspect of the book that wasn’t realistic, but I really can’t say anything about it without a spoiler. (Frustrating!) This aspect was necessary to the story, but realistically, I couldn’t see how it could happen.
I will definitely look forward to more books from this author.

Lauren and Gabe both suffer from fear, pride, and guilt in this suspenseful erotic contemporary romance. 4.25 stars
I loved my first book be this author. The characters are well developed and engaging with a storyline that flowed easily and smoothly with some laugh out loud moments. I was rooting for the HEA for this couple almost from the beginning.

I really loved this book. It has romance with suspense. The main characters have to learn to trust and let go of the past. The story and characters are developed and interesting.
This is a fascinating romantic mystery that draws me in from the first page until the end. And the characters are so interesting and likable. I enjoyed reading it so much I almost wished it didn’t have to end.

There is so much packed into this book. From the beginning, you’re wrapped up in Gabe & Lauren’s story. The visuals given by the author give the reader the experience of viewing a movie. The descriptions of Lauren’s visual blurriness and the little details of her day to day activities put you in her shoes, providing a great understanding of what it would be like to slowly lose your vision. The auxiliary characters add humor, extra suspense, and really draw you into the world created. If you’ve read the book the first time it was published, it is worth reading again (and again), as some plot things that may have angered a reader in the first version have been changed to a different outcome. Highly recommended to any romantic suspense lover.

A well written story that I enjoyed reading. This is Lauren Baxter who has a degenerative eye disease called Retinitis Pigmentosa, Gabriel Briggs and his son Evan’s story. There is suspense, drama, danger, a evil man, a very protective dog, and romance. This is the first book by this Author that I have read, and I want to read more. Lauren has a degenerative eye disease that will render her completely blind in the near future. She is a therapist and leads a very independent life with her best friend and her dog, Jack. Gabe is not too long out of the Marines and is rehabbing the townhouse next to her. Electricity flies when she goes to complain about the noise. To complicate matters, her cheating ex husband is divorced again and wants back in her life. Gabe’s past comes back with a dangerous vengeance. Nicely written and Will keep your interest from beginning to end. NO sluggish parts! I did a straight through read and that only happens with books that I like.

What a beautifully written book! The heroine, Lauren, is legally blind due to retinitis pigmentosa, seeing only vague shapes and colors. Despite her limitations, she has built up a successful phone therapy business. The hero, Gabe, is renovating the other half of her duplex for his new renters. She can’t see the hero very well, but she likes his southern drawl and his scent. He, of course, finds her attractive and asks her out to dinner right away; she’s not interested and pretends she has a boyfriend. Both have some ghosts hiding in the closet, of course–both in terms of relationships as well as other aspects of their lives. He, in particular, appears to have secrets not only about his military past but his private life as well.
Will these two pursue their attraction, even though they both have reasons for not doing so? Will the secrets keep them apart completely or tear them apart if they get together?
The author has done a fantastic job of having Lauren express her world through the senses that she has available. When the book is from Lauren perspective, we don’t “see” her world; we hear, feel, smell, and taste it. As a very visual person, I found it interesting to enter a world where my favorite sense was denied me; what a different way to experience the world. Of course, when chapters were written from Gabe’s perspective, sight was used to describe events and surroundings. Probably because vision is denied in Lauren’s portions, Gabe’s visual sense of the world made those moments seem that much more strong.
The book had me laughing within the first few pages. I often work at home, so I could identify with Lauren’s issues, both with excessive sound from neighbors as well as having to get dressed on occasion! While I don’t have an adult onesie like Lauren, I do like to be comfortable.
I also appreciated that the author had in the back of the book place where you could learn about and donate to research into the reason for Lauren’s blindness, retinitis pigmentosa.
Blind Love is about Lauren, a legally blind therapist, who is fiercely independent. She has her two trusty side kicks. Her best friend Sunny and her faithful dog Jack Sparrow, who can say “I love you.” When Gabe moves in next door and her ex-husband shows back up in town, her life slowly snowballs out of control. Because Gabe makes her feel things she hasn’t in a very long time.
This book is filled with everything… Action, independence, loss, love, best friends, sex appeal, and so much more. The characters are not only believable but exacuted perfectly with the storyline. Spectacular!!!
I’ve read other books by Ms. Paul and enjoyed them. This book was very different but equally as good.
This is more romance but still has some thriller aspects to it. I loved the characters and their relationships. The twist of dealing with RP is an added bonus. It honestly portrays the disease and how difficult it is to cope with while also letting you know that you can have a very full life with it.
Excellent story!!

This is a well written book with a beautiful story line. The author does a fantastic job building both her characters and story , filling it with tons of emotions, a bit of suspense and mystery as well as the strong chemistry and sizzling passion. Her scenes are described in vivid detail and the supporting characters play a huge role in bringing the story around. I loved and would recommend this book.

This is a real actionpacked pageturner from Kishan Paul. I loved the storyline and the characters. Loved the bickering between Lauren and her PA Sunny. They are so funny together. Love the chemistry between Gabe and Lauren. Would love to read more about them.

Blind Love is a fantastic contemporary Romance by Kishan Paul. I read this the first time it was published and loved it. I just read an advance readers copy of the new version and love it even more. Ms. Paul has added a few scenes and altered others making the book even better. This well-written book is loaded with a stellar cast of characters. Lauren is legally blind but manages her business from her home, with a little help. Gabe is ex-military and now flipping houses and he buys the house next door to Lauren. Gabe and Lauren’s story is packed with drama, humor, action, sizzle and suspense. There is not a dull moment in the whole book and I loved every page. I look forward to my next book by Kishan Paul and keep my fingers crossed that Sunny will get her story someday.

If the first book is any indication, the rest of the series is going to be awesome. The Kindred are a warrior race, with a need to cherish and protect the ones they love. However, with only 15% of all births being women, they have to look elsewhere for their chosen mate…..and currently it is Earth!
