Can her blue-collar man prove he’s different from all the rest? Lindsey Clarke was doomed. Every serious boyfriend she had fell for her more beautiful cousin, Destiny. When it happened yet again on the eve of her thirtieth birthday, she was devastated and wondered if she would always be delegated to second best. A friend suggested a blind date, and Lindsey went along with it in order to get her … a blind date, and Lindsey went along with it in order to get her mind off her wounded heart. Once she met Grayson Hall, she was star struck. Not only was he good-looking, but he was kind and sweet as well.
Grayson Hall owned the largest general construction company in Los Angeles. He had everything he could possibly want except love from a good woman. After being burned by a girlfriend who was only with him because of his money, he was determined to keep his financial status a secret from Lindsey. Following a disastrous first date, Grayson determined to make it up to Lindsey. Soon, he was falling hard and could easily see a future with her.
But when a terrible lie threatened their relationship, Grayson had to prove he was the kind of man she could count on.
And Lindsey had to make a decision. Was Grayson the man he said he was? Or was he no different than the men who dumped her for her cousin?
This is an inspirational Christian romance about the power of forgiveness and how one woman learns to trust God during difficult times.

Another good story from Evangeline Kelly. I wasn’t sure about this one at first, the heroine was quite insecure, but aren’t we all at times? The story line was enjoyable and the HEA was perfect.
Beautiful Christian story of love guided by faith in God. Loved it, loved it, loved it!!!
This is a wonderful inspirational romance. The hero may be a billionaire but he’s down to earth and still works construction. It’s fun to see how the hero and heroine work through their difference. I loved reading this romance!
Lovely, lovely, clean romance that made me cry and then made me laugh.
This is a fun contemporary romance with a blind date disaster added to the mix. In the case of Lindsey and Grayson that disaster was huge and I don’t know if I would have recovered enough from the porta-pottie incident to ever date Grayson again. Fortunately, God has a plan even when things go wrong. This story is light-hearted, funny and leaves you feeling that there is something good and right in the world.
A sweet Christian romance, this love story brings into focus that because one is a Christian we are not exempt from disappointments and painful experiences. In fact, some of the worst betrayals come those closest to a person. Lindsey has had her trust broken so many times that her self-confidence has been destroyed. After another disastrous relationship, Lindsey reluctantly goes on a blind date with Gray, who is having to deal with his own trust issues. The story is well written and clean, bringing one’s focus to the necessity of relying on the Word for inspiration and guidance. It also speaks of two people finding their way through their own issues to finally being free to fall in love. I enjoyed this book, the romance, and the message that it brings.
Very inspirational book….leave what your heart wants most in God’s hands. This book shows we are not perfect we are human but God will take care of us.
Blind Date With A Blue-Collar Billionaire is the first book in the Blind Date Disasters Series. This book is one of the best Billionaire books that I have read. It has everything: family drama, cousin rivalry, unique characters, romance and comedy. The story never drags and had me enthralled from the first couple of pages. In fact I was up all night reading [woke up hubby because I was laughing so hard]. Since this is a book written by Evangeline Kelly, you will need to have some tissue nearby. I look forward to the next book in the series. I think that anyone who likes reading romance will enjoy reading Blind Date With A Blue-Collar Billionaire
After a past of always feeling second best Lindsey felt very insecure about herself. When she went on a blind date with Gray all went wrong but he still wanted a second date, how was that possible. And he still was interested when things went bad. She has to learn that she is good enough when she is just herself. Ray is such a fun, serious, loving person who has the patience to help her find her confidence.
I really recommend this Christian story that I couldn’t read without feeling happy and at some times also sad.
A story of confidence, love, trust and forgiveness. It has some of my favorite bible verses in it. A story you want to read again.
This book grabbed me from the beginning and didn’t let go. I had to keep reading to see how the relationship developed between Grayson and Lindsey. This book also had comedy that had me laughing out loud. Lindsey is a young woman that is struggling with feelings of inferiority. I liked how she relied on God and learned a lesson about finding her identity in Christ. Grayson was a man trying to weed out the bad women that were after his money. I liked how he was so committed to their relationship. The chemistry between the two was strong, yet it was still clean. I recommend this book to those that like clean romance that starts with a really bad first date. I received an ARC of this book. This is my honest and voluntary review.
I couldn’t put this book down! This book kept me smiling the whole way through, such great characters. I loved the relationship between Grayson and Lindsey. This book will have you laughing and thinking about family relationships. This book just made me feel good!
Was given a complimentary copy. All opinions are my own.
Both Lindsey and Grayson have experienced heartache. I loved and appreciated how they both looked to the Lord for their strength and comfort. These two have an unusual first date but wan to try for a second. Loved them individually and as a couple. There is a scene at her parents house that I loved – way to go Grayson – one awesome guy. I didn’t like Destiny at the beginning and still don’t like her at the end – glad Lindsey finally stood up to her (did so in love). The ending was perfect.
Love is Patient, Love is Kind
This is a sweet, clean and Christian romance. The faith elements are strong and meaningful. The plot is straightforward and has a good moral lesson. The characters are all multilayered, well depicted and realistic. I really enjoyed the story. It is always nice to see characters grown over time. It is also nice to see folks with money not make more of it than it is. I received this ARC book for free and this is my honest review.
This is a sweet, heart warming romance with a unique plot. The heroine’s cousin steals every one of her serious boyfriends. The hero’s previous girlfriend was interested in his money. This story is full of serious trust issues, betrayal, broken heart’s, lies of omission, etc. It was actually a very fun read as the characters had serious chemistry and an interesting courtship. Finally the heroine learns to trust God with the difficult times . She also learns the power of forgiveness. I highly recommend this book.
A SWEET HEARTWARMING TREAT!!!
Oh man. This is one intriguing, exciting, feel good, page turning, inspirational read. You have a plethora of emotions to sort through. All the heartache, sadness, betrayal and lies are just a few the main characters have to deal with as they strive for their HEA. The characters and their personalities are unique with qualities and traits that balance out beautifully. The two main characters have fantastic chemistry and a strong bond as they grow closer. You feel their fear, insecurities, vulnerability, happiness, love and a strong spiritual connection. All the twists and turns, ups and downs, along with a few glitches here and there make for one enjoyable experience. The scenes are so descriptive and detailed it’s easy to picture each scenario as it plays off one another perfectly. Evangeline did an excellent job bringing this read to life flawlessly. Fantastic job Evangeline, thanks for sharing this awesome read with us.
Blind Date with a Blue-Collar Billionaire is a well-written, clean romance. Evangeline Kelly deals with resentment and forgiveness with families and insecurity issues that can cause a problem in a relationship; and she does an excellent job of it. Gray and Lindsey make a great couple–I was definitely hoping for an HEA for them, and they got it. I loved how their faith influenced their actions. The plot moves along at a good pace, and there are twists and turns along the way. I would highly recommend this book to readers of clean romance and readers of Christian romance. I received an ARC. I chose to write a review and share my opinion of this moving book.
Lindsey had been dumped by previous boyfriends who fell for her beautiful cousin, Destiny. She was gun shy and thirty years old. She didn’t want to put herself out there again to get hurt but she wanted a husband, a family and a happy ever after.
When her friend, Piper, offered to set her up, she was hesitant but finally gave in. The first date with Grayson was a disaster but there was something about him that made her want more.
Grayson wasn’t sure about Lindsey when they met for their first date. She seemed more like a diva and he wanted a girl-next-door kind of girl. Someone who would love him for who he was and not his net worth. There was something about Lindsey that drew him in, though. Would it be worth the risk to get to know her better?
There were plenty of challenges they had to face in their relationship and trust was paramount in getting what they both wanted.
This was a clean, quick read. There was no sex or foul language and an enjoyable story. I was given a complimentary copy of this book and I offer my honest review willingly.
I love Hallmark. I love clean reads. I love angst. I love all that in a read but this one took it a little too far with this chick and her insecurities. I really have enjoyed the other books I have read by this author but this one just became tedious with the h and her issues, stopping, blocking, twisting everything up to be all about her. It’s not a bad read it’s just that it wore me out reading it and I had to force myself not to just stop reading. The story line and the supporting characters are the reason I soldiered on along with the message the author had interwoven into the story I wanted to see how it played out. Again I say it isn’t a bad read, I just have no patience for the type of angst and this woman who is 30 and acts more child like than I can stomach.
So Good
Lindsay was always comparing herself to her cousin Destiny. But what made it worse her aunt & uncle kept telling her how Lindsay did everything perfect. Piper decided to ask her & her husband’s friend Grayson if he would be interested in a blind date. Lindsay & Gray’s first date is memorable. But with ups & downs they make it to HEA.
I enjoy reading books like this – sweet, clean, but with real-life problems and situations. I like the books to have problems – otherwise they are boring!
