And yet, sometimes, she can’t help but feel he isn’t committed enough. Not to her, but to God.

Scott Anderson, a smart, handsome civil engineering graduate, has just received the promotion he’s been working for for months. At age twenty-four, he’s the youngest employee to ever hold a position of this calibre, and he’s pumped.
Scott has been dating Skye long enough to know that she’s ‘the one’, but just when he’s about to propose, she asks him to go on mission with her. His plans of marrying her are thrown to the wind.
Can he jeopardise his career to go somewhere he’s never heard of, to work amongst people he’d normally ignore?
If it’s the only way to get a ring on Skye’s finger, he might just risk it…
And can Skye’s faith last the distance when she’s confronted with a truth she never expected?

I really liked this story. The ages of the main characters and the way it all took place on the mission field. I loved the way that sustainability and the way a mission trip is for the participants more than the people you go to serve. I think there are great nuggets of truth in here that anyone thinking of doing short term missions would benefit from (speaking of short term missions, I am absolutely thrilled that Duncan used a 3 month trip rather than a shorter one).
I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
Wonderful faith filled book!
The book was very inspirational.
Great story. Two people take adventure to Africa on a mission. Find God and love for each other. Thank you for your inspiration.
Gread book!
I didn’t think it was very realistic. It had a good story line but the decisions made by the characters didn’t ring true.
This was a wonderful book!
Favorite author. Great book.
What a great inspirational read about how a mission trip effects us. We get more out of it than the area where we begin our journey
another one of my list of authors that I really enjoy. always a great read.
Juliette Duncan is one of those authors that grab your attention on the first page. The characters are interesting and the love story adds to the interest. I loved it. One of those that I can’t put down. Read to middle of night.
I like the characters and story
Too perfect, and therefore hard to believe as a realistic story. But then again it is considered fiction. I would have loved to believe the story could happen, and realistically anything is possible. The story was too idealistic without any real hard twists and turns to make me feel anything for the main characters. As I think through the story, it may have needed more time to fully develop the characters and their stories. Since we weren’t writing a novel, we practiced speed developement which in turn caused the story to never fully develop, just morph from infancy to adulthood over night.
I loved this story and the dedication and commitment of the mission workers.
Life-Changing events.
A good understanding of how the holy spirit can work in our lives. Sweet!
Take a trip to a 3rd world country from your recliner to see how other parts of the world live. Inspirational and real characters reveal real life fears, sorrows and joys! Real people using God given talents for others. Good book to encourage missionary trips.
This is an amazing read. Skye is going on a Mission it will put her talents as a nurse for some people that really need it. Scott Anderson is the most eligible Bachelor. She asks him to go on the Mission. Hecis up for a promotion and decides to not take rhe promotion and goes with skye. Will these to be able to make there relationship more. The Author has done a fantastic job at Bringing the characters to life. As well as a well written read. This is definitely a must read.
