A woman on fire. Lucie survived four hellish years in prison, being sucked through a wormhole and crashing onto an alien planet. All she wants is to go home. Passion and rage burn in her. She wants her life back and nothing will stop her: not prison, not an alien planet and not three powerful aliens determined to claim her. They won’t distract her with their smoldering embrace or fiery kisses. … smoldering embrace or fiery kisses.
Alien men forged from fire.
Sarsen, Ertale and Asche spent the last thousand years waiting for release from their bonds. When the intriguing female bursts into their lives, she frees them from their unending servitude and ignites the fire in their heartstones. Now she thinks she can just leave them behind?
Not acceptable.
All three will do whatever it takes to make Lucie understand that her body and her heart belongs to them.
The Valos of Sonhadra series is the shared vision of nine sci-fi and fantasy romance authors. Each book is a standalone, containing its own Happy Ever After, and can be read in any order.
Blazing is a Reverse Harem story with three heroes and one lucky heroine, complete and no cliffhangers.

I enjoyed the different take on sci fi romance with excellent world building by
author Nancy Cummings.
Lucie is a prisoner on an orbiting space prison, made to work in medical testing.
She is constantly being abused by one guard in particular, Halliday and when the
ship crashes through a wormhole and breaks apart in the air, she finds herself
in the broken ship on an unknown planet. Halliday finds her and takes over as
her new personal guard and makes her start marching to try and find other survivors of the crashed ship. After Lucie escapes from Halliday, she finds the caves carved from the mountain and discovers one room with interesting articles and a fire blazing in a fireplace, when Halliday appears and tries to abuse her again. She whacks him over the head and suddenly, as his blood flows over an anvil, the whole floor opens up to reveal a cavern with a lava pool and a mountain of crystals. Lucie meets three aliens and she hands each one a crystal that she found glowing, that brings each alien, Sarsen, Asche and the giant but quiet Ertale renewed life energy. The crystals she learns are their Heartstones and they declare her their Heart or mate in otherwords.
As Lucie learns more about her Triad, she finds Sarsen to be the strong, serious grumpy one, Asche, the smart, shy one and Ertale (my personal favorite) the mute but very cuddly thoughtfull one. She is able to speak and understand them due to a translating device the prison ship doctors implanted behind her ear. Lucie, being a human must eat and drink but her mates do not, so they must figure out what is safe for Lucie so they can care for their mate properly.
They do find some survivors, but that doesn’t work out well for Lucie, they know what she did to land in the space prison, plus she was forced to do medical experiments on some of them. Her goal at first is to just contact someone so she can return to Earth, but that isn’t working well either.
I enjoyed the story that brings this new world and Lucie and her triad to us and learning how each of her mates relate to the human they don’t know much about except that their hearts beat as one.
There is a lot of mystery and fear for Lucie on top of scary monsters to avoid along with danger and affection from her mates, the Valos, as they all learn to love and trust each other. The sex was not the main part of the story and what we did get to read about it was fairly tame. In the end, I definitely want to read more about Valos of Sonhadra.
WOW!!! I didn’t know what to expect while reading this book. Let me tell you this was absolutely the most interesting, intrigue, and bazaar but in a good way thing that I ever read. I found the whole world of Sonhadra to be very unique and the Valos fascinating. This enjoyable and entertaining read had me glued from beginning to end. I’m totally looking forward to checking out the other books in this series. I voluntarily read and review this ARC no monetary compensation was received the opinions I have expressed are my own.
Blazing is hot, sweet, and heartwarming alien romance
HOT HOT HOT!! The strange fire Valos are soooo alien and sexy. Lucie is so incredibly changed by her crash landing on Sonhadra and by meeting and learning to care for her three Valos. Nancy Cummings works her writer’s magic in this heartwarming and Kindle-steaming menage a quatre to bring a new world to life, and to give her characters a chance at renewed happiness through the transformative power of love. I was so beguiled by the story I read it non-stop, and I wish it could’ve been longer!
Book 3 in the valos of sonhadra series.
Lucie is a prisoner on The Concord, a flying prison, it houses some of the worst criminals from earth… it also shouted some of the most innocent and selfless people accused of crimes they did not commit.
Lucie is is not innocent, she made choices and suffered the consequences in the Concord for years… her penance for those choices is ongoing, with medical knowledge… she is made to assist the sick and twisted doctors aboard the Concord with their experiments on its captives… she is ‘lucky’..
Until the ship is dragged through a worm hole and crashes on a strange planet. Being dragged by a guard, Hamilton…as a shield from any beasties… he will use lucky till there is nothing left of her.
What he and lucky don’t expect is to meet 3 fire valos… when lucie accidentally restore their heart stones, they know she is part of their triad… for lucie, it’s another test. She has so much to atone for and her mind is set on focusing on making amends with the other survivors and getting back to earth. Even if it means going back to jail.
Fantastically written, as we do meet lucie in the other books, it was great to get her ‘story’ and perspective on what was happening on The Concord and how she got to be assisting the doctors. I knew it wouldnt be for stealing kittens…Dayumm!!!
I loved the interaction between lucie and her 3 very very different fire valos. A total mix bag of interactions and emotions was wrung out of me but by the end of the book the most resounding one was of happiness.
