This is another great book by award winning author Dale Mayer.Dale never lets her fans down. When Blaze couldn’t find a purpose after finally getting out of the hospital. All he wanted was his career as a Navy Seal until an injury ended his career. When Badger reached out and asked if he wanted to work some jobs for his security company All the men in Gadgets team have lost a part of themselves woke serving as Navy Seals many lost multiple kind of body parts.Blaze had a lot of scars lost a foot and several body parts he was in the hospital fighting his way back from injuries when his mom passed he couldn’t even make her funeral. As he was setting trying to decide what was next he was looking at picture a of several dogs. When one of the guys asked about them he said that these are the lucky shelter dogs they found homes for.Badger asked if he’s ever worked with dogs.He said his dad trained Saint Bernard s and another large breed. He used to help train them. When he was asked why he was part of the dog team he said he was told not to get close to a dog he trained because it maybe given to another trainer in the field .So he couldn’t do it.Badger told him about the Admiral wanting a favor locating the war dogs and making sure they had a good home .He also told Blaze that the first three dogs were found in bad circumstances and the men also found love.Blaze said he’d look for the dog Solo but as for finding his sole mate he wasn’t that lucky. Then Badger told him that’s the way they all felt now his whole team is happily married to just keep an open mind and an open heart. When Blaze meets party planner Camille they have instant attraction although Camille has been hurt badly in the past and so has Blaze so both seem to have there guard up.Will they find Solo? Will the walls come down and will they fall in love? There are so many twists and turns to this story will keep you riveted until the very last page.I love the way this amazing author brings the characters to life before your eyes.I can hardly wait to see what’s next by this multi talented author.
I received a complimentary copy of this book and I also purchased a copy as I LOVED it.
This was such a great story. Once I started, I couldn’t stop. The plot was a real twister. I totally guessed the wrong culprit! I adored Camilla and her spunk (especially the scene after her house was broken into!!) Blaze was a wonderful addition to the men searching for the missing K-9s. Even though he didn’t serve as a handler in the military, his family raised and showed two different large breeds. Blaze had a loving heart towards canines. These two come together beautifully.
The plot was well written. I really hated to see the story end though. I highly recommend this one. There was one bedroom scene and it was very brief and not at all anything of erotica in nature.
I enjoyed this contemporary suspenseful romance that kept me entertained and intrigued from beginning to end with great characters and a well-written story that included suspense, mystery, and romance. Blaze Bingham returns home to Rockfield, Kentucky looking for Solo, a shepherd with severe dissociative issues from her military days, also meets an event planner Camilla Channing and I loved their instant attraction and undeniable chemistry. Blaze is another winner in this must-read K-9 Files series by gifted author Dale Mayer. I received an advance reader copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving my honest review.
This is quickly becoming the best of Dale Mayer’s military series. This fast paced read has suspense, romance, and humor. I would like to see more of Blaze’s father in future books. There’s a lot of potential there for him to play a bigger role in these K9 rescues. My only complaint is that this one could have had more of Solo. I’m ready for the next book.
Blaze has worked hard at healing after his injuries as a Navy Seal and a trip home seems to be the next step. He has been asked to return to Kentucky to look for a vet dog named Solo who has retired from the service and is lost. Since his dad is still working with dogs in Kentucky this seems to be a great choice. There he meets Camilla on the side of the road where she has had an accident trying to avoid hitting a dog who might be the shepherd Blaze is searching to find. Camilla is an events planner involved in setting up a wedding (she always avoids weddings but is doing this for a friend). Soon it becomes clear someone is trying to harm the plans for the wedding and the relationship growing between Blaze and Camilla. There is some dysfunctional family history in play, Solo is a loner so it’s making it difficult to track her and Blaze wants to protect them both. So love, romance, loyalty, honor, mystery, and finding Solo are all involved. I would have loved to see this story develop even more but thoroughly enjoyed it as is too. Definitely looking forward to the next book in this series!
Blaze by Dale Mayer
K9 Files Book Four
Blaze Bingham knew it was time to go home. He just needed that final shove. He only had his dad now, it was time. When Jager told him about a K9 in the area he was from, it was what he needed. To go home with a purpose…to find Solo.
Camilla Channing had an events business. Charity events, dog show events, any kind of events is what she loved. But one thing she hated…wedding events. She’d only done one and should’ve learned from that. But no, here she is doing a second wedding for another friend. It was bad enough pleasing the bride…but then someone had to go and cause trouble.
A dog. A ruined wheel on a car. A soldier returning home after being gone too long. And somebody out to get someone for some unknown reason. Put them together for a great story and hopefully a happy-ever-after for man, woman, and dog.

Blaze had planned to go home to Rockfield, Kentucky at some point – just not yet. However when Badger gives him a reason to go there – to help a lost K9 Shepherd called Solo who has dissociative issues he knows he has to go there and try to find her. Camilla is an event planner and tries to avoid hitting a dog that runs across the road in front of her. Blaze sees the accident and stops to help her as well as make sure the dog (who he suspects is Solo is also ok). He realises Camilla is great fun and she gives him the first reason he has had to smile in a very long time. However some people’s memories run long and never forget insults, so someone is not at all happy about their friendship. How far will this person go to keep them apart?
This story was action from start to finish as the mystery of who was behind the attacks was developed until the explosive finale as it became clear of the who and why behind it all. It was great for Blaze to learn more about his parents as well as explore the relationship with Camilla. Woven into those stories was the story of Solo and how Blaze finally made contact with her and started to trust humans again. I also loved the way she seemed to be protecting Camilla from the attacker. Well written and full of action this was a really enjoyable story of how a retired serviceman found his other half as well as a missing K9.
Badger and his team have been tasked by Commander Cross to select the right people to find military dogs that are now out of the loop. They have basi information as to the dog’s last known location. It’s up to whoever they recruit to report back if the dog is being cared for properly.
In this book, the dog Solo was well named, she didn’t bond with the new family and appears to be alone. Blaze has a good reason to go look for her, his father, a dog breeder and trainer live in Rockfield and it’s time for him to go home.
What he didn’t expect was to find a young woman broken down on the side of the road, one who attracts him. The reason she damaged her car was because avoided hitting a dog. One that matches Solo’s description.
Blaze’s reunion with his dad goes better than he expected and then he gets down to the business of finding Solo. He also checks up on Camilla and takes her for coffee.
Apparently gossip travels fast and it becomes very apparent that her family isn’t pleased she was anywhere near Blaze.
Intriguing twists and plenty of laughter as Blaze pursues not only Solo but Camilla as well.
I can’t wait for the next book in this series.
I have been waiting patiently for Blaze’s story and it was better than I anticipated it would be. Blaze happens to witness a small accident and is there to help Camilla. These two are perfectly matched and this is a must read for all Dale Mayer fans.
Blaze is heading home after a long absence involving time in the military, an injury and surgery. He is searching for a misplaced K9 dog named Solo that is in the area. Camilla meets Blaze when she is on the side of the road after swerving to miss a dog. There are instant sparks between the two. And when someone starts stalking Camilla, Blaze & Solo are watching out for her. I could not turn the pages fast enough. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book.
Another great read from Dale. Love the interaction between Blaze and Camilla, it was fun! There of course is the usual evil goings on, and mystery and Solo!
Another great book from miss Mayer full of mysterie and suspense. I’ve read all the books from miss Mayer. I received this book via Booksprout for an honest review.
This has to be my favorite book so far in this series of books. I absolutely loved the characters and the dog. I felt that the characters interactions were so lifelike and true to Dale Mayer’s writing. She has always been such an amazing author, no matter which series you are reading. I loved the story line and how the story unfolded. The story kept me engrossed and I just could not stop reading the book. I loved the book from start to finish. It included some action, suspense, mystery, love and of course the story included a wonderful dog. As a dog lover I can’t say enough about this series. Love, Love, Love It!

Blaze went back to his home town on a mission or two. One, to find Solo, a shepherd from the military K-9 division and one to determine his next path after his discharge from the military. Almost as soon as he makes it to town, he offers to help Camilla after she had a flat tire and gets his first clue in searching for Solo.
Blaze decided that he liked Camilla’s honesty and wanted to get to know her better. As they start spending time together, there are broken windows at a venue where Camilla has an event scheduled and later at her home. Then she receives strange emails and text messages. Can Blaze and Camilla determine who and why someone is trying to keep them apart and still find Solo to keep her out of harm’s way?
Another great instalment in the K9 files has Blaze going back to his hometown to find Solo, a missing military dog. He encounters Camilla on his way home and is amused by her antics and interaction. He ends up getting a date with the woman and finds himself protecting the woman when her safety is threatened. As the investigation on who did it they learn their pasts are connected in more than one way…could that be the answer.
A great read with some steam and quite a few chuckles along the way with Camilla’s character. Once again I enjoyed the couple and the little to no drama between them. The story flowed nicely and the suspense had me flipping the pages….cant wait for the next instalment.
*I voluntarily read an advanced copy and expressed my honest opinion*
I love this series about the K-9 dogs that are veterans. Blaze is a wounded vet, who has accepted his disabilities and is now going home to Kentucky to look for Solo one of the missing K-9 dog who is a loner and lost in the hills. On his way into town he meets Camilla a women who can make him smile and laugh.
With patience and understanding he will be able to complete his mission and more. This is a a fast pace book with a good plot and a few twists.
This is a great read for summer.
I can’t wait for the next book in the series.

Another enjoyable read in the series… Due to Blaze’s mission to determine a missing military dog’s condition, Blaze returns to his hometown. Camilla, an event planner, is reluctantly planning a friend’s wedding events. When Camilla avoids hitting a dog and her car runs off the road, Blaze stops to help. When events happen that hinder Camilla’s work on the wedding events, Blaze wants to protect her. Blaze juggles helping Camilla and looking for the missing German shepherd. I received a free copy of this book from the author through Booksprout. This is my honest and voluntarily given review. This is another enjoyable read in the series. Being from Kentucky myself, I liked that book was set in a small town there. The book was suspenseful as events escalated against Camilla and her business. I liked the book and series very much.

The day he arrives in town he runs into Camilla who is stopped on the side of the road with a flat tire she received while swerving to avoid the dog. Blaze reconnects with his father whom he has not seen for several years due to his injuries received while in the military and subsequent hospital stay. When Camilla begins having trouble from an unknown threat Blaze helps her out. Blaze, Camilla and Solo are all very likeable characters.

The past has got alot to answer for. Thinking you can’t go home to famliy when you are no longer hole ( at least in his head), even when you are hurt serving your country. Because of your family’s history & past hurts, having them still try to take over your life and limit your future choices, takes you on an explosive journey. The third identity in this journey is Solo. Again her past is blocking her future, question who she can trust or even if she wants to take that chance. 3 broken souls come together in a healing, fun loving story with great storylines, twists and turns leaving you wanting more.
