For the love of kibble and dog treats, I’m so in enamored with this series! Broken and damaged characters with realistic flaws that make them immensely endearing, and a canine hero that wiggles its way right into my heart! These are characters I wish I could know in real life, because their courage and determination is so inspiring.
Blaze takes an assignment to find one of the war dogs, Solo, and it takes him back home to Kentucky. After the injuries that took him out of active duty, he’s finally ready to return to his small home town. Camilla isn’t someone Blaze remembers from his days living in Rockport, but when he stops to help her with a flat tire, she makes an impression. No sooner than they even think about dating, someone begins threatening Camilla.
My only regret is that this book isn’t longer, because I need to stay in this book world longer. Between the budding romance, the drama and suspense of a stalker, and the methodical patience of befriending Solo, this one kept me on the edge of my seat while I devoured the pages. If you like military romance with suspense, you’ll love Blaze!

I’m really enjoying this series. This stands alone but you’ll want to know about the other characters and their rescues in previous books. This former deployed dog only plays a small role in this story. Blaze takes an assignment back home and finds his possible soul mate. It’s not an easy ride though as someone is causing trouble. Who is it about and who wants their relationship to fail? I found it hard to put this book down, loved it and highly recommend this series.
Sent on a mission to find a service dog that has gone wild, Blaze returns home for the first time in years. Having been in recovery after receiving severe injuries, he has had to work up the courage to face the people he loves, given his wounds. Whilst Blaze does identify that Solo is running loose in the woods near his home, he also finds a lively event planner who needs his help. Camilla has avoided all relationships, but meeting Blaze makes her realise what she is missing out on. Only, their budding relationship stirs up a hornets’ nest and when she comes under attack, Blaze has his hands full keeping her safe. I found this novel very different from others I have read by this author and although it was enjoyable, it was not what I was expecting. I received a copy of this book as a gift and this is my honest and voluntary review.
Loved it!! Great series. Can’t wait for the next one!
This is a well written romantic suspense story. It has wonderful characters that come from dysfunctional families. That are captivating and likable. I fell in love with the Solo the K9 that Blaze went home to look for. He found Camilla while on his way and the chemistry and attraction between them keeps growing thru out the story. The plot has plenty of mystery, drama, action, suspense, and romance, with twist and turns to keep your interest to the very end. This is another winner in this series. This series highlights service dogs that are used overseas to help the military. When the dogs retire, the military tries to place them in good homes so they can live the rest of their lives in peace. Unfortunately, some dogs get loose and/or are living with abusive owners. The K9 File series is about those dogs.
In this book Blaze is sent to Rockfield, Kentucky, his hometown, to search for Solo, a military service dog who has been seen roaming that area. Blaze has not been home to visit his father since he has recovered from his war injuries. Therefore he is looking forward to going home as he searches for Solo.
While at home, Blaze meets Camilla who is an event planner. He is looking for Solo when he spots her car at the side of the road with a flat tire. Coincidentally, she had steered off the road trying to avoid hitting a dog in the street.
I love the character of Camilla. Ms. Mayer has created an eccentric woman with a very a very strong work ethic. She is spacey, kind-hearted, generous, opinionated and hilarious. Yet, this author does it so skillfully that Camilla is strikingly lovable.
As usual, Ms. Mayer skillfully invents a complex plot. Someone is trying to scare Camilla away from Blaze by destroying her business. There are a lot of twists and turns as well as many intricate details that stump Camilla and the entire town. Throughout it all, Camilla never loses her spirit or her positive outlook.
Blaze admires Camilla’s work ethic and enjoys her eccentric personality. He continues to help Camilla save her business as he searches for the person who is trying to destroy her. In between all of that, he is trying to regain Solo’s trust so he can come and live with him.
I thoroughly enjoyed watching Camilla and Blaze interact with each other as they attempt to solve the mystery.
I am really loving this series. In this book we meet Blaze, who goes home to search for Solo. On his way he rescues Camilla, who really lights his fire. Lots of action in the book as Camilla’s family tries to stop the relationship and steal her inheritance. Solo is found and the couple triumphs at last, after several bumps in the road. If you enjoy reading about former military, action and adventure, with a nice touch of romance (and don’t forget the dogs!) This series is for you!

This is the fourth book in the series. The books just keep getting better. Blaze is looking for the next chapter in his life after being medically discharged from the Navy. His assignment to do a wellness check on Solo is going to give Blaze more the he ever thought possible. I loved Camilla and Blaze. They both need the companionship and heart the other one brings even though they weren’t looking for it. There is more going on in this small town then meets the eye because incidents keeping happening with Camilla as the target or is she? Can Blaze help Solo and keep Camilla safe? The mystery surrounding the bad guys in this book kept me guessing trying to figure out who was behind it. It’s a book that sucks you and keeps you flipping the pages to see what happens next.
Love Dale Mayers books. Buy more each time they come out. Actioned packed and unpredictable. Recommend all his books!
Blaze had avoided going home until he’s given a mission. The ex-Navy SEAL is sent to find a retired military dog named Solo that was last spotted in his home town. As he’s driving to his home, Blaze spots Camilla whose car has a flat. He pulls over and helps her get back to town. As they get to know each other, trouble begins. At first incidents seem like minor vandalism, but then incidents start escalating. Someone doesn’t want Camilla going out with Blaze. Now besides looking for Solo, Blaze wants to protect Camilla from these threats. As Blaze slowly befriends Solo, the story focuses on Blaze and Camilla getting to know each other. In a lot of the ex-military books that I’ve read the story line is a little unrealistic, this books is just a refreshing look at two people getting to know each other and falling in love.

This is another great book in the K9 series. I just love how she weaves the stories about the dogs in with the romance. I didn’t think the part about Solo was as prevalent in this book as the dogs have been in the past but it was still good. I just want to know how he is doing and when a book leaves you wanting more, the author has done a great job!

Another fantastic story in this great series! I absolutely adored the way the chemistry developed between the two main characters, and thought that some of the suspenseful scenes were really wonderfully done. A little predictable, but let’s be honest, that’s part of what makes these stories so good. We know it’ll always be a great happy ending! Can’t wait for the next one.
Blaze is finally on his way home after getting the push from Badger that he needed, not only will he see his Dad who hadn’t seen since before he was injured but also friends he knew from growing up in town. Camilla doesn’t really remember Blaze but after he helps her out on his way into town and inserting himself in her life we get to see sparks fly, laughter, sass and determination on both sides as they get to know each other and Blaze find out what he wants in life while also try to get Solo to trust him and work out who is behind the attacks on Camilla and yikes when we find out who it is well geeze I kinda thought at one stage but then thought nah surely not!

This is book 4 in the K-9 Files series and it features Blaze and Camilla. This series is about veterans finding lost military working dogs and through that, finding love. This story was more about Blaze and Camilla than Solo, the MWD. The story line was good but it needed to be longer so a deeper search into the trouble surrounding Camilla could be made.
The story line was good but unlike the stories before this one, this search was almost an afterthought. As usual, the characters were awesome! I can’t wait for the next book in this fantastic series!
Fabulous!
I really enjoyed this one! It has a humorous side with Camilla’s bravery and spitting kitten attitude as well as a sad theme regarding the horrific injuries Blaze suffered resulting in missing his mother’s funeral.
I love the small town atmosphere where people have know each other most of their lives, and for some, it feels like home after being there just a little while. It has a knowledge of the townsfolk that big cities can’t match. He grew up loving dogs, where it kind of runs in the family, with a natural affinity to what the animals are thinking and how they react to various treatment by people. I love how Blaze takes on the challenge of finding and befriending Solo and his determination to give her a decent life.
Camilla is sweet despite her mother and sisters’ criticism and less than loving treatment of her. Disdain, jealously and dislike is all they have to give her, so with them out of her life, she has no problem becoming a successful woman in her own right with her Event Planning business keeping her very busy. Vandalism to the event center right before a big wedding has Camilla feeling uneasy and yet determined to make this occasion perfect for her client. She can be feisty when offended and Blaze sees this as a sexy attribute when she doesn’t hesitate to speak her mind. But when her own home is broken into, Blaze takes over matters to make sure Camilla is protected and the culprit is found.
This hot, sexy, romance is another great book in this series and is a complete joy!
Jager sends Blaze sends Blaze home to Kentucky to find Solo, a lot K-9 who prefers to be alone. Blaze has been reluctant to go back home following his accident that left him mangled and missing parts because a lot has changed at home while he was recovering. He meets Camilla shortly after returning and shortly after someone starts trying to sabotage her. This was a great read and Camilla is fierce. I really enjoyed the fast pace of this book. I volunteered to read this book via Booksprout.
I enjoyed this book. Camilla is a unique woman who does what she believes is right no matter what others think. Blaze is instantly attracted to Camilla and will do anything to protect her.

Great book. Huge fan of Dale Mayer and love this spin-off of the Seals of Steels and how they persevere after huge injuries. I’m an animal lover and I love how they find the forgotten or lost K9s that serves our country and also find love along the way.
Camilla gets a flat trying to avoid hitting a shepherd, Blaze drives up, parks to see if he can find Solo who is missing. He walks up to see if he can help. Alas, not much as the tire and rim are dead She is frustrated, calling for help and cursing her bad luck. Is this a fate or a bad dream albeit awaking one? I can not, will not go further. I do not do spoilers. You will love this book. If you love dogs and heroes, what’s not to love. This series can be read as a just one in the series or the whole series one after the other and you will not be disappointed.

A fast-paced easy-to-read sweet suspense romance, yup there’s plenty sweetness in this suspense story.
The banter between Blaze and Camilla, bring smile to my face the whole time, they’re just so cute together, quirky heroine (I really love Camilla, she’s super brave, although a bit careless) and protective alpha hero (well Dale Mayer always succeed to creates amazing Alpha Heroes), oh yes they’re so perfect for each other. Not much about Solo the german shepherd though, I wished there’s more about the dog, because it’s a K9 series, so I was expecting more interaction with Solo, well that’s my only complain. So overall, with amazing characters, good mystery suspense, with a little action and plenty sweetness, I enjoy this book a lot.
If you’re looking for fast-paced sweet suspense read, this book is for you.
