Although Brienne of Eile has finally broken free of the Morrigan’s grasp, the new life awaiting her in Firiehn may prove to be just as dangerous. Hoping for a fresh start with Dorran, Brie agrees to join her cru-athru lover as he journeys back to the kingdom of Astorelle. But navigating courtly politics may prove to be just as difficult as her previous life, especially since the witch who cursed … cursed Dorran is still unaccounted for. With her safety and her heart at risk, Brienne will have to confront her demons – and ignite her own fire – if she wishes to protect the ones she holds most dear.

Blaze and Borne (Draghans of Firiehn Book 2) by Jenna Elizabeth Johnson is a wonderful story that I read. This is book number two in a wonderful series writen by a brand new author for me. I highly recommend this story to everyone who likes reading about witches.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I loved this book and once started I could not put it down. Brienne, Dorran and his Elite Warriors have returned to Firiehn. Dorran and his warriors are happy to be home again. Brienne is unsure of herself and if she’ll be welcomed. Dorran puts her at ease as always with his love and support. Brienne finally accepts that she is a person worthy of his love and has finally accepted she deserves him. She also has another champion in the form of his sister, Naeri, who is so excited to welcome Brienne to the family while his mother was at first weary but grew to love Brienne. When she was kidnapped she discovers that she is part dragon and helps Dorran defeat his evil cousin.

Another powerfully written story with strong and loveable characters! It has action, suspense, hot romance and some humor. Especially loved the twist at the end. Highly recommend this book. I absolutely loved it!
4 out of 5 stars
Brienne is finally free of Morrigan’s grasp , the men who hurt her are dead . She is on her way to a new life with the her dragon . Dorran is the one man that can set her heart singing . Now here comes the hard part, they have navigated rough terrain and battled the enemy . Now she has to navigate her way around meeting the in laws . What does one do when she is in the company of dragons and the man she loves feels the bonding and kinda goes off at a ball in their honor. Brienne needs to fight through her own demons and when push comes to shove save the man she loves . Finding the fire she has deep inside her .
In book 2 we get to see Brienne grow so much . She has to navigate through the family of Dorran and it seems overwhelming at times . She really takes to court life and shines . Dorran well he is just still sexy and alpha male . He is well he is in love and protective. We get to meet his family and his sister is so much fun to read . She is like a breath of fresh air that Brienne needs. The characters are so much fun to read .
This is the second book in the series and man what is worse then meeting the family of the man you love . The story is a fun read that has romance. and an epic battle scene and a twist at the end that will have you cheering . You will love the characters and how they have grown . I can’t wait to see where the author takes us in the next book in the series. So if you want a fun read check out this series . Especially if you like dragons and this author’s twist on dragons . Add this to your summer reading list
Great way to continue the series!! So many twists and turns, so much adventure. Really loved the relationship between Brienne and Dorran. Can’t wait to read more!!
Really loved this continuation from the first book. Facing her demons with the help from her lover on a new adventure.
The follow up to Flame and Form is a continuation of Brie and Dorran’s love story. I highly recommend reading Book 1 first to fully appreciate Brie’s journey and spunky spirit. Dorran brings Brie into his world and she has her doubts about being accepted. I absolutely loved Dorran’s kingdom of Astorelle, the descriptions of the tea party and shopping for a ball gown made it come to life. The addition of an evil cousin, a villain in the form of a witch, an epic battle and a breathtaking twist makes for an amazing, fun story. I enjoyed this magical duo.
I loved book one and was unsure how this would go, she is in a strange new world, he is a frickin king……I couldn’t imagine how this would go. Intrigue, evil baddies, sexy times and some amazing supporting characters created another amazing read. I’m going to have to go look up the other books that she’s written…..these were just wonderful. Way to get lost in a new world.
Brienne and Dorran are now together , ready to leave to go to Firiehn but Brienne has doubts whether Dorran’s subjects will feel the same about her that he does. Perhaps he will fall in love with another and leave her, even she loves him. What if Morrigan comes after her, what they do? But Dorran is king of Astorelle and with that comes responsibility. Brienne is going to have to learn how to do many things , traveling a path she has never known. This is a wonderful second book to the Draghans of Firiehn series. Follow this couple thru a path that is new to each, what will happen next to them. Will their love be strong enough to handle all that comes before them?
I’m really enjoying this series. This continues from the first book. Brienne and Dorran on on his realm, Firiehn. Its vastly different and things aren’t always simple or peaceful as much as they’d like them to be. It was sweet to watch their love grow within this book and I really really enjoy both their characters. Brienne has some struggles understandably in the new realm so its an adjustment. Things are still not finished so I look forward to the next book. You do have to read book 1 so it cant really be a standalone without a ton of confusion. Recommend!
This is about how Brie learns her own self worth, confidence and what it means to be with the love of her life. The witch isn’t the only danger and she has to learn how to get along with his sister and mother. There are some places in the series I would have enjoyed seeing what was going through the king’s mind. There is explicit adult content and violence.
I love this book. The characters are facing new adventures and dangers which have you in suspense with what’s going to happen. It’s very smooth and easy to read and of course very vividly detailed. I am definitely recommending this book.
This was the second book in the series and you need to read the first so you’re not lost. Brie and Dorran are together but now Brie is struggling with living in a new place and navigating new waters. However, they have each other and their love, will it be enough to keep them together???
Brienne is finally leaving Eile to journey with her lover, Dorran, back to the kingdom of Astorelle in Firiehn. They and their group must be wary of the evil witch that’s still roaming free. Can Brie protect her new love as well as her heart?
Brienne and Dorran are not without adventures as they return to Astor Castle. Interesting facts come to light, battles fought and secrets revealed. Great series.
Sexy! A sensational fierce sequel to this paranormal series full of new dangers, Magic and fiery dragons! I really enjoyed this book with new twists and turns. Can’t wait for more.
ARC received. Brienne is a great female lead. I loved watching her grow & learn to love herself
“Sweet lord of beautiful things. I’m always craving for the romance and this second part gave me all the love. Geez Dorran was a unique character. He was strong, powerful and so in love with Brie that had me enamored. The way he make her felt safe with him. He was her rock, her anchor that kept the bad memories away yet she was capable of defending herself. I really.like her character even though she suffered (missed book one but she gave hints of her past) she was a sweet girl looking forward to a new beginning with the man she fell in love with. So romantic!
BTW, I loved Dorran’s sister. Naeri was a great sister, a little bit crazy but a great friend to Brie. Plus my heart aches for Roth, sweet angel. Can I please hug him? Can I have more of him? All the guys pleeeeeease!!!
One of the things I loved the most was Dorran’s POVs. That first chapter told by him at the ball was fascinating. If I adored him before after that chapter I was head over heels in love with him specially after he shouted those words. It’s amazing how a simple word can change this forever. Everlasting love is always worth fighting for. Did I mentioned timid Dorran? My heart melted!
There wasn’t just love and passion but also a secret behind Dorran’s curse and a threat that could torn their love apart. The las 20% of the book had me on the edge. I wanted answers but mostly my heart was on the edge waiting for the ultimate sacrifice. Though the book didn’t ended up on a cliff, there’s more this world can give us and I’m ready for it. Great second part. I’m definitely having book one to complete the background and how they met and fall in love, was!”
