I’m a little behind on this series and so this was the first book out of the four that I read. If you haven’t read the other books in the series its no problem, it can be read as a standalone. But as soon as I finished I went back and read Flame and Burn and couldn’t put them down! This series like the other Gallo books are full of Alpha men and sassy, sarcastic women who keep these Alphas on their toes.
You have to admire a man with enough guts to go after a Gallo woman. And although Lily is the more incent of the older girls (Gigi -Books 1 & 2 and Tamara – Book 3) she’s still full of the Gallo women spitfire and takes Jett to his knees. Lily and Jett are childhood friends and this book although full of steam, is also a super sweet second-chance romance. Once I started, I couldn’t put the book down and once I finished I couldn’t wait to read the other books in the series. I am on edge waiting for more – with 13 kids it’s going to be a fantastic, fun-filled ride. I loved the book and love the series! A great series to get lost in for the summer!
A fun, funny addition to The Heatwave series!
Blaze
Men of Inked: Heatwave
By: Chelle Bliss
Narrated by: Samantha Brentmoor, Jason Clarke
There are times when a book just hits you, and Blaze does it for me. I am not sure if it is the combination of characters, or the addition of the talented narrators, but it is a fantastic listen. Jet is home from the military and when he bumps into Lily in the tattoo parlor, things for our couple begin. Jet is the one Lily pined over in high school, you know the one that all he girls love. Being the studious nerd, Lily didn’t think she was even on Jet’s radar, but was she? Now several years later, she agrees to be his roommate. Can she do it? Between her overprotective family and friends and her lack of risk taking, we shall see! It’s fun, flirty and just a blast to listen to. All our favorites are present, with Tamara and Mammoth, Pike and Gigi along with the Gallo family giving us all the love and laughter and alpha protectiveness! It’s a great listen and the ending just made me smile!
Samantha Brentmoor and Jason Clarke are an amazing team! I loved them together. Clarke just dials into Jet, with his charm and warmth. I could see why Lily fell for him! And Brentmoor is fabulous as the innocent Lily as she gains her confidence. They compliment each other well and make the listen fly by. Loved every minute!

What a fun opposites attract romance! A friends to lovers, steamy romantic comedy. I can’t get enough of this family’s saga.
This series is just absolutely an inferno!! Every story is amazing, but somehow each one gets better and better. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again Chelle Bliss is one of my favorite authors and every time there is a new book coming, I know I have to get my hands on it.
Lily Gallo and Jett Michaels are one steamy couple to read about. From an awkward encounter, to those steamy scenes, Chelle continues to write epic stories that suck you in and leave you gasping for air.
Lily is everything I love about a heroine, she is quirky, she is humorous, when she love she does so fully and you are not to be fooled by the straight A bookworm, this girl has some fire to her!
Jett is just a sexy alpha through and through. I loved his encounters with Lily and how their friendship blossoms into so much more. Blaze was an absolute fantastic read and I cannot wait to see where Chelle takes us all next.
I loved this book and I love this series! Lily and Jett’s story was while sweet but hot at the same time mixed with moments that were laugh out loud funny. The pair were well written with chemistry that was off the charts. The pair had feelings for each other that went back as far as high school despite Jett’s less than stellar reputation and after years apart, the pair have a chance meeting that evolves into more. Their story moved along in what felt like a flash and I enjoyed the return of all the Gallo characters from the previous series. I also loved the helicopter parenting that Michael, Lily’s father was doing with her.
I listened to the audio version of this book. The narration performed by Jason Clarke and Samantha Brentmoor was performed well and was a truly enjoyable listening experience as the pair did a great job of bringing Lily and Jett’s story to life. I enjoyed this book as well as this series and I would recommend this book to others.

This series has me all kinds of stupid you guys. I need to make time to sit back and binge read the Men of Inked series. First, I feel like I’m the only person on the planet that started the journey of The Gallos family with this series. Story wise, I’m not missing a single thing starting here, but shenanigans wise I am missing out on a lot. This is my fourth look into this family and with every single one of these books I call Gallo2.0 (lol) I fall more and more in love with all of them. But enough about them, let’s talk about Lily Gallo and Jett Michaels!
This book started with one of the best, I guess you could call it a meet cute but not really because Jett and Lily already know each other so let’s go with run ins, that I have read in quite some time. It caused me to read until I finished without a single pause. HILARIOUS doesn’t do it justice but it was! That encounter/contact/meet set up a vibe to Jett and Lily that I just could not stop reading.
Polar opposites that fit together like two puzzle pieces. That’s what Jett and Lily are to me. They’re both strong characters but in different ways and they fit each other perfectly. I swooned like nobody’s business for both Lily and Jett. Their story was perfectly paced for their personalities. It was fun and it was sexual, and it was just heartwarming from beginning to end. Did I say fun? HOLY GOD so much fun!
Since I feel like I’m the only person on the planet that hasn’t one-clicked the heck out of every single book Chelle Bliss has ever published, this is probably falling on deaf ears as they say, but you should really read this book and this family LOL
Sidebar: this woman is #WINNING ridiculously at this cover game! #JustLickIt
Lily is learning the family biz at her father’s tattoo and piercing shop when her longtime crush, Jett, walks in and asks her to give him a Prince Albert piercing. While there Jett asks her to move in with him as roommates. Lily agrees and is completely oblivious to the fact that Jett has always had a thing for her too. What I really enjoyed about this book is that Lily is a completely relatable character in both thought and action. This was a really fun read and has me wanting to go back to the very beginning of the series to get better acquainted with all of the other characters and their own stories
OH EM GEE Lily and Jett!
I have been dying for this book since we got the sneak peak in Mammoth and Tamara’s book. Lily is the complete opposite of Gigi and Tamara. She’s shy and naive to the world around her. Jett is out of the Navy and is ready to settle down when he returns home. When he sees Lily for the first time in years he falls fast for Lily which he always had a soft spot for her.
Their chemistry sizzled off the pages. There was so much humor in this book you couldn’t help but laugh out loud. I loved how aloof Lily could be and how patient Jett was and of course the antics from the Gallo clan.
Every review I always state that that book is my favorite but this one is now my new favorite. Chelle has a way of sucking you into her Gallo world to the point you never want to leave and the way this story ended……I kept swiping hoping it didn’t end the way it did. I’ll be over here IMPATIENTLY waiting for the next installment!
Hysterical!
Blaze is one of the funniest Gallo books to date. There were a couple of scenes that I about peed my pants.
Jett and Lily’s story is lighthearted and comical. These two are cute and yes, their story is still sexy. A great example of the phenomenal writing that this author gives us and I couldn’t get enough. We do pick up a little mystery in the end but we will get to the bottom of it in the next installment of this fantastic series.

With plenty of laughs and naughty banter we are back in the crazy world of the Gallo team! Shy, uncertain Lily and the gorgeous Jett, take the spotlight and their story is both sweet and hot! Read and enjoy!
Lily and Jett have known each other for years but never had the chance to get together. Their story was different than the other cousins because they had the start of a friendship that just needed a little (big) nudge. I am grateful for the whole family not completely interfering in their lives but I always love a good Sunday dinner when the sh*t hits the fan. And I just want to say thank you for the HEA with so much more to come.
What a great story. Got to love the Gallos. It does not matter if it is the men in the Gallo family or the females. They are all great. I listen to the audio and it was amazing.
To be honest I never gave much to Lily until now. We truly get to know her in this book. there is more to her then just the shy girl which should not have surprised me, I mean she is a Gallo. Underneath that shy girl, image is a strong take nothing off of anyone’s personality.
I have read a lot of the Gallo books but I do not remember Jett and trying to remember if there was really much about him in the other books. Let me tell you he is pure yummy. I love how he saw the true Lily. He saw this beautiful woman that he was deeply in love with.
This is a great story and it will have your steamy parts as well. The author truly does not disappoint. Do not worry if you have not read any of the other Gallo books because I think this will be fine as a standalone.
I loved Jett and Lily’s story. It was low on the drama, and there were plenty of laugh out loud moments. I absolutely loved Jett and I found Lily to be relatable. While I loved the book, I did not love the ending. But I can not wait for the next book.
Brilliant Story & Narration Sweet & BlazingHot!
Blaze
Men of Inked: Heatwave
By: Chelle Bliss
Narrated by: Samantha Brentmoor, Jason Clarke
I love, love, loved this book, it is a great mix of sweet and blazing hot, the story is captivating from start to end. The Men of Inked: Heatwave characters are 3rd generation Gallo’s, Sal and Mara Gallo’s grandchildren and 2nd generation in the Men of Ink series. This is Lilly’s book, her parents are Mike and Mia, Mike a former fighter and now works in Inked. Lilly, a book nerd and one of the quietest of the Gallo kin, was set to follow her Mom’s footsteps and become a Doctor. But while in med school she realized it was not for her, she returned home and trained with her Dad to do piercings at Inked. Training over she was set to do her first client solo, who turns out to be the guy she crushed on forever, Jett Michaels. Jett served his country and traveled around before coming home, he always wanted a Prince Albert piercing and went to get it. He did not know it would be her to do it, he secretly crushed on Lilly for years but she was too young and too good for him, but none of that matters any more he is going to go for it. OMG, I loved how every thing plays out in this book, there is some great inner dialogue and humor, Gigi as usual added some fun times too. The story flows naturally and is well plotted, the is never a dull moment with plenty of drama, some humor, just a touch of angst, some heartfelt moments and some hot romance. I am just loving this series and these characters and am looking forward to what comes next. Chelle Bliss thank you for another awesome story.
I listened to the Audible edition, Samantha Brentmoor and Jason Clarke are talented narrators and voice artists. They bring bring these characters to life, give each their own voice and personality. You could hear how much heart they put into their work as they capture the characters emotions and project them into their performance. I loved Jason Clarke’s Jett, he truly grasped his persona and Samantha Brentmoor did the same with Lilly, kudos to both, great job with the secondary characters too. They are entertaining storytellers and a pleasure to listen to. Thanks you for another awesome listen
Another phenomenal read that will have you hooked from page one. I absolutely love Jett and Lily together. Jett is so sweet and sexy and definitely the perfect man for Lily. The whole Gallo clan is a family you won’t want to forget and of course you will want to be a part of their family. Every book just gets better and better. I can’t wait too read the next book in this series.
I always know I’m in for a special kind of read when I catch up with the Gallo’s and Blaze (Men of Inked : Heatwave #4) was no different in fact for me this book is the best in this series so far. I picked this book up late last night and there was no putting down so be prepared to read it in one sitting because it will draw you in and air will captivate you. This is Lily Gallo and Jett Michaels story and boy do they have a tale to tell.
Jett has served his time in the military and now he is back in town and from the moment he walks into Inked and comes face to face with Lily he knows this is where his heart belongs, this is the woman he needs to be with but Lily is a woman who scares easily so he decides he needs to take it nice and slow because she is worth more than just his time.
I loved this couple from the first page, I loved the humour and the banter they share, I love how Jett wants to protect Lily and I loved the chemistry that was intense. Like all the hero’s from Ms Bliss we get a swoon worthy man who prepared to do what ever is needed to win the love of his woman and we get a quirky interesting heroine who you can’t help falling in love with. This book ticked all my boxes so I urge you to one click this gem of a read.
