This is Lily and Jett’s book. This book has all your feels that Chelle is known for. I love the two because they are complete opposites of each other. This book doesn’t have the heat of Chelle’s other books but it is still amazing. Wonderful book.
I honestly can’t decide, but it’s entirely possible Lily Gallo and Jett Michaels just became my new favorite second generation couple. Jett and his parents have always been close family friends with the Gallos. When Jett moves back home after his time in the military he reconnects with them all, including sweet Lily. Jett and Lily are completely attracted to each other but she’s a shy, good girl who thinks he’s out of her league. Jett is a protective alpha male who thinks she’s out of his league as well. Can someone step up and convince him to chase her and make her his? Will Lily continue to take the safe route and keep her heart protected?
The banter between the Gallo cousins and their mates had me bursting with laughter so many times throughout the book. Mammoth and Pike make several appearances as well and their conversations with Jett were both hilarious and touching.
Rest easy knowing you get to visit with the extended Gallo clan at times as well. There’s a particular family dinner scene that may just have been my favorite part of the whole book. Sadly this book left off with a huge cliff hanger and I am dying for answers now. It’s not really a bad thing though, because I know it means promises of more books to come. The second generation spin off is amazing and I can’t wait to see just how many hot steamy books we get from Chelle Bliss.
This series just keeps getting better and better. Chelle Bliss surprises me at every turn and let’s just say I was 4% into Blaze (Men of Inked: Heatwave 4) when my jaw dropped open at Lily Gallo and Jett Michaels awkward and hilarious encounter. I legit laughed so hard and said this is why I freaking love the Gallos so damn much! I quickly fell in love with Lily Gallo with her quirky, quiet and humorous personality. And don’t let this innocent, straight A, bookworm fool you. She definitely surprised the hell out of me when she flourished and came out of her shell.
Lily’s had a crush on the sexy and notorious playboy, Jett Michaels since high school and I don’t blame her one bit. Everything about him was mmm mmm good!! What starts out as friendship develops into so much more and I enjoyed every single moment of their sexy story. Blaze is such a fun book with the perfect blend of humor, romance, hot sex and excellent dialogue.
Fuck, this book.
Lily is the odd-woman-out in the rambunctious Gallo family. The quintessential good girl.
After an awkward and hard reunion with Jett, her high school crush and notorious player, her life will never be the same.
Let me preface this by saying I love the Gallos, but have always had a secret soft spot for Sophia and Kayden. This book, connecting the two families even closer was just what I needed.
I love Jett. No it’s or buts about it. He has officially taken the spot of my favorite member of the next gen, giving quite a remarkable fight and topping even some of the original Gallos in my heart.
As a fellow awkward nerd, I get Lily. Her innocence and insecurity, the need not to disappoint and her struggles to figure out who *she* actually is are what makes her real.
I can’t wait to read the rest of their story!
5 stars and a piercing.
Jett and Lily is the perfect couple. Absolutely love the bad boy, innocent girl relationship. Enjoyed the closeness with the family and friends. The love poured throughout the book. This series gets better and better. Can’t wait to read the next book
Audio review:
Ermigod…
This book was everything I had hoped it would be and more.
Jet was the perfect nudge—that Lily needed—to get out of her head.
They were sweet, sexy, fun… the perfect mix for a swoon worthy read/listen.
As for that ending? I NEED MORE!
Talk about cliffhanger.
Jason and Samantha completely slayed the narration.
Great read.
Lots of laugh out loud moments.
Brilliantly written love story with lots of heat.
Can’t wait for the next one!
Highly recommend.
I Loved Lily and Jet.
Leaving the Navy Jet comes back home and ends up in the Inked Tattoo shop where he wants to get something done and comes face to face with Lily the girl he has crushed on since High school.
Lily is more than shocked to see Jet again she has had a thing for him since high school too,but because she is so quite, shy and reserved, she always just admired him from afar.
He was a playboy who all the girls liked but she was a nerd a bookworm and so they are opposites and she never thought in a million years he would be interested in her,or that years later she would take him up on an offer to be his roommate.
How could this work she has led a sheltered life and Jet is just this Hot Tattooed cool guy,how would she be able to live with him.
I really loved their story both of them attracted to one another but in disbelief that they could be together.I thought Jet was so sweet and attentive also patient with Lily she kept running away from him but he was so persistant.
Lily just couldn’t believe Jet was interested in her and she had to deal with her over protective Dad who wanted to murder anyone who persued his innocent sweet girl. But Lily is not that innocent especially when it comes to Jet and I loved them together.
There were also some funny moments between them too.
This is a sexy, enjoyable, terrific read that was a pleasure to read.
Tremendous
5 stars.
Wow great audible book!!
Now I’ve read this book before but listening to it on audible just made the story so much more life like and really made the characters and their personalities “blaze”!!
The narrator’s did a fabulous job for each of their sections, although I did notice that Gigi and Tamara sounded super valley girl-ish but I liked it.
But this is Lily’s story…and Jett’s. Lily is at a crush on Jett for years and when he mysteriously pops up into Inked to get a piercing, she kind of freaks out. Because he wants a Prince Albert and this happened to be the first time her father was going to let her do it by herself. Unbeknownst to her, Jett has also had a crush on her for years so her handling his junk made it a bit awkward. After talking they discovered both of them were looking to move out of their parents house and jet encourages her to room with him when he gets a place. She finally agrees and there’s a huge ordeal on having to tell the parents because they’re just friends. But neither of them want to be “just friends” …but more. And eventually that more happens. It’s a wonderful story with some plot twists and all your favorite characters from the previous Gallo family all show up. I absolutely adored the story and the narration.
I received an ALC for my honest review!
I don’t know how I’ve missed the Men of Inked series – either I’ve been living under a rock or my book reading buddies have some ‘splaining to do – but now that I’ve met some of the characters, I’ll be remedying that problem soon.
In Blaze, Jet and Lily are front and center and this romance is just all kinds of swoon-worthy. Now, I don’t know if Jet lived up to his reputation in earlier books, but it is mentioned here. As for the here and now, he’s a brilliant combination of sweet and sexy. He’s all alpha male but comfortable enough in his skin to put Lily first. Speaking of Lily, I absolutely loved when she has her big epiphany about her life.
This is the audiobook, and Chelle Bliss couldn’t have chosen narrators any better. The book is done in dual narration with chapters alternating between Lily and Jet, and Samantha Brentmoor and Jason Clarke are terrific. Samantha Brentmoor captures Lily’s innocence and doubt combined with her struggle to assert herself perfectly, and if you haven’t had the pleasure of listening to Jason Clarke, you don’t know what you’re missing. You can’t help but swoon over that voice, and he gives us the sexy and the emotional in equal measure.
As I mentioned, this is my first experience with the Gallo family, but it will not be my last. I definitely have some catching up to do as I wait for the next in the Heatwave series.
After deciding that being a doctor isn’t the direction she wants her future to take Lily has returned home and is now working for the family business and handles piercings. Lily has always been more comfortable around books then men so when Jet, her high school crush, comes into the shop looking for her skills things are about to get interesting.
Jet has returned home after serving in the military and when he sees Lily he is enchanted. He has always had a reputation with the ladies but she was the one lady he wanted but never went after but that is about to change.
These two were so much fun together. Jet is so swoony as he is determined to overcome Lily’s reservations and show her that she is the only woman for him. The narrators were a perfect choice for the characters as they brought out all the humor, heat and heart of the characters.
I loved this one. Why??? Because Lily Galo is my type of women. She is considered to be a book nerd She dropped out of school to go work in her dad’s tattoo and piercing shop. When Jet ‘Blaze’ Michaels returns to his hometown he never expected to run into Lily and that she would be available. So when he convinces Lily to move in with him as friends sparks seem to be flying between them. But Jet has a hard time convincing Lily to give him a chance… But when you know you know… lol
I Loved this book. I loved the book nerd versus the womanizer storyline. And bonus my favorite narrator Jason Clarke and my getting used to Samantha Brentmoor I think out of the whole series so far these two are my favorite
Before I even started this, I ordered a copy of book 5. Jett and Lily were super cute. They went to high school together and both wanted the other but never made a move. When Jett returns to town, he knows right away that Lily is the one and I quite frankly was here for the whole ride. Once again the ending was super rushed and almost like a cliffhanger, but I really want more from this and this whole group. I volunteered to listen and review a complimentary copy of this. All opinions are my own.
Man, oh man. I knew I was going to love Jett and Lily from the first chapter.
Jett and Lily have known each other their whole lives. Jett is a few years older than Lily and she’s always had a crush on him. But Lily has always been the quiet bookworm so she felt invisible around him. When Jett comes back into town and they have a very interesting re-meet, he’s looking for a roommate. So is Lily. The two move in together and their chemistry ignites.
Jett is just… wow. He’s the perfect match for a Gallo woman. Protective, smart, and a backbone to match the strong women in the family. And Lily is an undercover badass. Having your father as a former world champ in MMA, you’re taught a few things. Especially with Gigi and Tamera as your cousins.
Jason Clarke and Samantha Brentmoor were amazing as Jett and Lily. I love when they narrate together. Both were the perfect choices for this story.
Blaze is the fourth book in the Men of Inked Heatwave Series. Absolutely love Lily and Jett’s story. Lily is a timid bookworm girl trying to find her way and Jett is the infamous playboy looking to finally settle down. Humorous, sexy and sweet all in one. Chelle Bliss continues to write amazing Gallo family stories. This is an absolute must read, highly recommended!!
Well Gigi and Pike were my favourites before but Lily and Jet are giving them a run for their money. This is book 4 in the Men of Inked Heatwave Series from Chelle Bliss and I am loving these audiobooks. Lily the nerdy bookworm ends up with her high school crush Jet the ex-military man. After reconnecting in the funniest scene (no spoilers here but you will laugh so hard), Jet pursues Lily even though she can’t believe he would want a “girl like her.” I loved their story so much. Lily is so unsure of herself and Jet coaxes her little by little to come out of her comfort zone. As always the supporting cast are a bunch of crazy Gallo family members. Tamara from “Wildfire” is a classic with some of the stuff she comes out with. Sometimes I wish I could head out on a night for drinks with her, there would definitely be some fun stories to tell. I think it’s the mark of great writing when you want to spend real life time with the characters.
This is a sweeter story than the others so far but with no less heat. When these two finally get it together they go up in flames. Seriously HOT! Chelle describes her characters so vividly, you feel like you’re there with them. I’m so glad Lily gets the courage up to take what she’s wanted for so freaking long and Jet is so careful not to spook her. He’s the polar opposite of most of the Gallo men as he’s not openly alpha all the time. He is the fierce protector of Lily but he’s also so sensitive to her needs. He wants so badly for all of her experiences to be amazing. Aaaaannnnnnd there’s a cool wee surprise at the end. LOVED IT!!!
The narrators do a stellar job of bringing these characters to life. I only just discovered Samantha Brentmoor recently and once again she hits the nail on the head. You can totally feel the hesitance in Lily and her utter embarrassment at some of the things her cousins come out with. Samantha has a great range of voices to draw from so when there’s a conversation between multiple people there is no mistaking who is saying what. She gives us the whole spectrum of emotions for Lily and I thought her performance was top notch. Jason Clarke again delighted my ears with his portrayal of Jet. As well as just having a bloody lovely voice to listen to, you really felt Jet’s frustration and his care when talking with Lily. He showed us perfectly that Jet needed to reign his sh*t in to finally get the girl. Such a great pairing of voice actors, I think they are my new favourite team!!!
I loved this story between Jet and Lily. I love how all the characters are connected as these are the young adults of the original Inked couples. You can’t help but like and love this couple root for them from the start. I have read all these books from the start and working my way through. Now, I need to pay respect and go back and review. I loved almost all the books. I loved them so much I didn’t even take a second between books, I just grabbed the next and kept going. I love this author’s books while all connected, all different, they are fast paced and have some twists but not so much angst as to make it an u comfortable read. I’m defa fan and this is a book you will enjoy.
Loved Jett and Lily. Their story made me laugh so much I cried. I loved how they grew up together and were friends-ish and decided to room together to both get out of their parents house. After that things started to get really steamy. Go read the book to find out what happens.
I definitely recommend reading this book and the others in this series, they are great.
Blaze: Men of Inked Heatwave book 4 had me hooked from beginning to end. This was Jett and Lily’s story but we also get the Gallo gang making appearances. It was a fun story with a great blend of humor, steamy scenes and romance. This was an opposites attract, friends to lovers romance with great banter and some humorous moments. I loved it and can’t wait for more in this series.
The audiobook was narrated my Jason Clarke and Samantha Brentmoor. These two two did a fantastic job with the narration. They complimented each other perfectly and their voices were clear and understandable. I enjoyed listening to them narrate this novel.
The absolute BOMB!
I have been a fan of Chelle Bliss for so long and it’s always exciting when I get a new Men of Inked book in my life. This is another example of high quality enjoyment right here! Blaze is HOT!!
Sweet naive Lily along with the overprotective and addictive Jett, this story will make for a whirlwind of awesome.
I highly recommend this.
