For those who need more Harper and Knox . . . there’s Blaze Defeat the enemy. Win the boy. Live happily ever after. But life “ever after” isn’t as easy as it used to be. Harper’s gone from being a member of a small demon lair to co-Prime of one of the most powerful lairs in the US with a mate who, though hot as hell, is just a mite overprotective – I mean, you get kidnapped by dark practitioners … you get kidnapped by dark practitioners just once . . .
Then one of Knox’s demons goes rogue, and in his madness decides Knox Thorne must die.
Harper’s worried. Knox isn’t – at least until he discovers his mate’s willingness to get between him and danger. Now, Knox has a new priority: Keep Harper safe . . . no matter what it takes.
But Harper begins to suspect there’s more danger than one rogue demon. It seems the combined strength of Harper and Knox has upset the balance of power in the demon world and there are those who are determined to right that wrong.
Because when you move up the food chain, sometimes the other predators just want to take a bigger bite.

So Blaze continues the story or Know and Harper. Harper has survived her first trials as Knox’s anchor and proven she is strong for the role, however there are consequences, they just aren’t sure what they are yet. Harper’s day to day life is upset when her absentee mother is kidnapped by a deranged demon with delusions about Harper and she is blamed for the kidnapping. Throw in a snarky party planner that looks down on her, the stress and search for her mother and the demon who took her and the fact that people are still after her to get to Knox and you have a story worth reading. Plus those closest to Harper and Knox finally discover the price for her being connection with Knox, but will they be able to save her from that price? This was an enjoyable read and picked up where the first book left off as well as setting up the storyline for future books.
Amazing book and series couldn’t put it down
I found Blaze to be just as good as the first book in this series. There are more amazing Harper and Knox scenes, great friendships, and a couple heart-pounding situations to keep readers engaged.
The story that began in the first book develops further in this one. The mystery builds and nearly everyone is suspect. Danger keeps coming for Harper. How can Knox and Harper protect themselves when they don’t even know who’s after them?
I love Knox and Harper! They are a total demon power couple ands their relationship deepens even more in book 2. I love how secure and confident both are in their relationship. It’s refreshing. Knox, of course, continues to be as dreamy as ever. Also, as much as I hate all the petty OW drama, I have to say I sure do love how Harper and her friends handle it. It always makes me laugh.
Once again, if you’re looking for a paranormal romance with humor, heat, and amazing characters, you’ve got your next series.
Excellent book and series. I love the characters and the storyline. I binge read the series every time a new book releases.
Kick-A** Strong-Willed Female Characters who are not your average damsels in distress just waiting around to be saved and their Alpha Hot Bad-A** Male Counterparts – cunning, loyal, and fierce heroes who protect what’s theirs and will definitely be getting their hands bloody while doing it.
The plots were excitingly well-developed, the plot twists and villain reveals were well-executed and just plain cool.
All in All – This was definitely a series I would recommend if you are into preternatural fantasy adult romance.
I’m at 4 and counting (because it’s not over yet.)

This second book in the series again focuses on Harper and Knox and in this instalment we have a demon on the edge of going rogue and he’s fixated on taking Knox and Harper down however he can.
He wrongly believes that they will have a child together with the capability and potential to annihilate the world.
But this demon is himself a tool for others dark agendas and the ultimate goal here is to take Harper out which in turn will hopefully weaken Knox’s control.
Knox will stop at nothing to protect his mate and nobody targets her without suffering his and his demons wrath.
This was again action-packed throughout and choked full of sexy antics.
The chemistry between these two anchors and mates is off the charts and sets the pages alight with its intensity.
Knox is his full-on dominant self both in and out of the bedroom especially when it comes down to Harper’s safety and Harper herself shows her teeth here and bites back somewhat much to Knox and his demons dismay her antics threating his iron-clad control.
One thing that did bother me slightly and I did notice this as well in the first book was that I wasn’t a fan of the constant former and wannabe bed-buddies that kept rearing there heads.
Though I have to say Knox himself is completely steadfast and loyal when it comes to Harper and that I did like I was just sick of seeing her constantly have her nose rubbed in it and would have liked her to catch a break.
Though I must say I did chuckle at all the turtle references and the bestiality insinuations that Harper threw Knox’s way, highly amusing.
Also totally loving ole Lou and hoping we get to see more of him he was fantastically weird and random.
I also thought that there were times that Harper could have let Knox stand up for her and it wouldn’t have affected her position really, at times she could be too single-minded about going it alone.
I am interested in seeing where this is going and also unmasking the identities of the other horsemen.

Great book. Harper is trying to make it work with moving her business to the underground and becoming a Co-prime. Harper is kidnapped by a member of her new lair because he thinks he is doing what is right. Knox is dealing in trying to find him before he does something bad. I will be buying more from this author.

Review:
I liked this book. I was looking forward to reading more about Knox and Harper. I want to see them develop more. I love Harper, she is hilarious, strong and resilient. I liked that she doesn’t give into Knox every demand. She doesn’t cower to him, she stands her ground. I liked that about her.
I liked seeing ab it of a change in Knox as well, you can tell that Harper really changed his life.
What is this book about:
Harper and Knox are still in a relationship, many are excited for them and things are going well. But not everybody is excited for them. The Horsemen are still out there, wanting to see the primes fall. As Knox’s mate Harper is his only weakness, a weakness the horseman are trying to use against him, to kill him. They didn’t account for Harper’s own strength and power. As she anchors Knox and makes him stronger, he does the same for her.
One of the horsemen is determent to take out Harper, for personal reasons also….
What did I like about this book:
I like seeing Harper and Knox together. They are a great couple, oh so hot and very entertaining. I love Harper, as I said above.
I really liked the side characters as well, Devon and Tanner’s banter. Tanner in particular, he’s a funny but loyal person. I have feeling Keenan and Khloe will be great together! I like Knox’s other sentinels, Levi and Larkin. I hope they get their own books some day.
I also like Harpers other friends, Raini
All the side characters are just as important to the plot as the MC are and that makes for a well rounded story.
Rating:
4 1/2 I loved it Stars
* I got an ARC from the writer in exchange for a honest review *
‘Burn’ is one of my favorite books that I discovered this year so I was really looking forward to the second book of this series ‘Blaze’ so you can image my surprise and my excitement when I receive an ARC from the writer at the RARE16 in Edinburgh!! This made me so happy!!
Like I said before, ‘Blaze’ is the second story in the ‘Dark in you’ series and it continues with the story of Harper and Knox. I would really recommend that you read the first book ‘Burn’ in this series before you read this one.
Harper is slowly adjusting to her new life as mate and anchor of the powerful demon Knox. Luckily, she has still her job as a tattooist and her friends and family around her to help her adjust to her new life as co-prime of a big lair. After years of being very independent and making her own decisions it’s sometimes very hard for Harper to ask for help, especially from her very controlling, possessive mate Knox but like in every relationship you have to give and take. Knox and Harper are learning this in this story, when to give each other the space to be alone and when to take control. Especially Knox finds this hard to do but he loves Harper very much and he nor his demon want to lose her. But the fact that there’s a near-rogue demon on the loose, doesn’t help this situation very much and when it becomes obvious that the near-rogue demon wants Knox dead, it makes Knox and his demon very protective of Harper. Because being his mate makes Harper very valuable for his enemies. So Knox and his demon want nothing more than to protect Harper from any harm.
Meanwhile, Harper has to organize an elegant and important party for Knox and if that isn’t stressful enough for Harper, she also has to deal with some of Knox’s ‘ex-lovers’ and their jealousy. A woman can only handle so much before she let her demon lose!
But whatever happens, one thing is for sure, Knox and Harper are meant to be together and they both know this.
After enjoying Burn so much, I was a little apprehensive of reading Blaze but I enjoyed it just as much, if not more! This series has the perfect balance for me, a little bit of suspense, hot love scenes, an alpha man/demon but never too dominant, a feisty woman/demon but also never too much. One of the things that I find very interesting about this series is the duality of the human side and the demon side. Both have different personalities, a fact that makes this series very fascinating.
I really love Harper and Knox as a couple. Harper is the perfect mate for Knox, she’s a little bit crazy and unpredictable but she also has a very soft heart. Her family, the imps and her friends make me laugh and I would love to have a girl’s night out with Harper and her friends. The interaction between Harper’s friends and Knox’s sentinels is one of the fun things in this series and I hope that one day Suzanne Wright will write their stories too. I would love for a few of them to become a couple. I’m sure that I would love their stories too!
I can’t wait to read the next book in this series!
All the laugh out loud moments is one of the things I love most about Suzanne Wright books. Throw in lots of hot sex, action, non stop adventure, and lots of sexy alpha men showing off their badassness, then you have a book of perfection!!
oooohhhhh Loved this book! Love this series! LOVE THIS AUTHOR!
Sarcasm galore.. I laughed and laughed. Every. Single. Book!
