Liz Flowers has never enjoyed Christmas, but this one is shaping up to be the worst by far. She let her ex take her daughter to Mexico while she stays behind in a strange town, sitting her former mother-in-law’s high strung little dog. It’s an opportunity to meet new people, but this California girl doesn’t have much in common with the ranchers in small town Marietta.
Blake Canon perks up with … perks up with male interest when he sees a new face at his friend’s Christmas cocktail party. His son is away and a light affair would take his mind off his financial troubles. Then he realizes he knows Liz. She was once married to the brother of his ex-wife.
Their children might be cousins, but Blake and Liz do the kissing—under the mistletoe. It’s the beginning of a new view of Christmas for Liz, but when their children arrive home unexpectedly, and family secrets are revealed, Liz isn’t sure she’ll stay in Marietta for Christmas after all.

Good read. Nice flow
Great romantic read.
Good book to escape with for the day.
I loved this book
A great book! Kept my interest for sure!
Sweet Holiday Romance
Loved this book definitely a must read.
The steamy part was a bit crude… Debbie MaComber and Ray Anne Thayne write super romances without the detailed steamy part.
Wonderful seasonal read. Enjoyed it immensely
This the perfect Christmas blend.
A cute holiday story about two people finding love where they least expected it.
Liz Flowers has gotten stuck at her former mother-in-law’s house taking care of her dog while the rest of the family goes to Mexico for Christmas. She meets Blake Canon at a Christmas party and they hit it off really well. Little does she know they were once related through her ex-husband.
Liz has never been a big fan of Christmas. Will Blake be able to show her the spirit of the holiday?
This was a fun book to read and had some laughable moments thrown in. It is a great book to get ready for the upcoming holidays.
Wonderful Continuation
Two people hurt by a brother and sister, both are the exes and having issues with them. Liz has her daughter, and Blake has Ethan. But kids are out of town for Liz’s exes wedding in Mexico. They are both alone for the holiday. He might loose his ranch. She falls for him and him for her.
The main story was over at about 50% of the book read. I thought the story moved to fast and time was not taken to develop the characters. You also do not hear how they worked out the major conflict in the story. It just jumps to two years later and you read the outcome some what. Then there was an excerpt for the next book and a bonus story. The bonus story was just an excuse to write sex scenes in my opinion. There was no depth to the characters and not much of a story.
