Every cowboy has a wild side—all it takes is the right woman to unleash it… fling with a Texas cowboy.
When chef Reese Stephens made her bucket list, she mistakenly thought she had weeks to live. Not that she regrets her one-night-stand with the gorgeous rancher. But she does regret leaving an heirloom watch as a parting gift. Tracking Logan down is easy. Walking away again is another matter. Because Reese’s crazy past and Logan’s battered heart are no match for the kind of chemistry that could turn one night into the start of a passionate lifetime.

One of Delores Fossen’s best! I was waiting for Logan McCord’s story, and it didn’t disappoint. love her romantic suspense books. But her big single-title contemporaries for HQN are filled with humor, real conflict and sexy cowboys. She knows how to entertain her readers.
Spoiler Alert: Dare I say it? Clown noses. Original!
I enjoyed reading this book! I love the story line with what is happening with Court and Rayna. This has suspense, drama a little mystery. I recommend this book and author !!!!!
Favorite Quotes:
Jimena stood out partly because she was stunning. Also partly because she drank like a fish, cursed like a sailor and ate like a pig.
The man moved like a cartoon character who drank an hourly six-pack of Red Bull.
He said her name as if she were a persistent toenail fungus.
Deputy Davy Devine looked like a zombie and had the IQ of a shrimp. He could start a brawl just by showing up on the scene.
It’s hard not to have man-baggage once you’re past twenty-one, but all it takes is one good man to help you put that baggage away for good.
I was raised by con artists. We would have had to come up in status to be called trailer trash.
My Review:
This was my first experience in reading Delores Fossen and I found it to be a highly enjoyable and pleasant experience. Her characters were fresh, complicated, and amusingly described. The story was multi-layered and the writing was engaging and entertaining. The storyline and the characters intrigued me, nothing was predictable. For a supposedly low crime rate small town, it was a hotbed of gossip and riddled with blackmail, but if you have ever lived in a small town, you would know that reputation is everything… my mother’s constant rebuke was “What would people think?!?” Sigh. I enjoyed the book and found the characters likable, complicated, realistically flawed, and compelling. The story was relevant and laced with humor, insightful and observant details, and lots of juicy secrets that were peeled back one layer at a time. The suspense was well-paced and kept me engaged throughout. This was the third installment in the series but had strong legs and stood well on its own, although I would love to go backward and read the previous books of the younger brothers’ stories.
Delores Fossen nailed it once again with 3 stories in this series of the McCord brothers. Riley, Lucky, and Logan. They couldn’t be more different but they each stole a piece of my heart fighting for the women they love and the lives they each want to lead. Spring Hill, TX is a small town full of characters who love to gossip about each other all the while adding spins to the truth to make for a fun and heartwarming town. After a family tragedy, Logan easily falls into place taking over the family cattle broking business and “raising” his baby sister Anna, younger brother Riley and his twin brother Lucky. Supporting characters like the Nederland’s and even Deputy Dweeb bring humor and light to each novel. Even the leading ladies have colorful and faithful best friends who stand by their sides, and honestly, I wanted to reach out and high five those gals for their unbashful ways! I can’t recommend this series enough! I laughed, I cried, I often shouted “hell, yeah” or “ohhhhh, hell no”, and hope the following review will encourage you to take the journey with all 3 sexy and charming McCord brothers.
‘Blame It on the Cowboy’ takes us into the life of the eldest McCord brother (by a few minutes), Logan. As the CEO and face of McCord Cattle Brokers, he’s worked hard to create the perfect life which included his perfect girlfriend of 8 years. His perfect future was on track and laid out like some fairytale. That is until a shocking discovery involving clowns and liars, both of which Logan hated, ruined that illusion. Damn. Reese Stephenson was just told that she didn’t have much time to live. She quit her job as a chef and proceeded checking off items on her newly created bucket list, the last one involving tequila and a hot cowboy. Downing shots and wallowing in pity at the same bar, these two unlikely characters meet. Reese would be in the grave soon, or so she thought, so she left this no named man her most cherished possession, her grandfather’s watch. She did that with hopes someone special would remember her after she was gone. But in a twist of fate, Reese was misdiagnosed, and would indeed live! I read this book twice as I got caught up following Reese’s journey to find the no name hot cowboy to regain her watch, dodge her shady past, and protect Logan at all cost in the process. Her one and only friend is along for the ride and I found her to be the best thing ever with her threats to anyone who hurts Reese. The town of Spring Hill, a future baking her “famous” lemon thingies, the entire McCord family, and Logan himself make Reese rethink everything she’s ever known. She’s never stayed in one place for too long, but Logan is worth laying down roots for. Don’t miss out on this heart gripping story of her hot cowboy and his Julia Child. ENJOY!
Cute book. Enjoyed the story. Characters were fun. Liked the whole small town play on failed relationships and gossip. Clown jabs were good. Very entertaining.
