Can’t something interesting happen? Sara, an American interpreter was bored out of her mind working at an economic conference in French Guiana. Then she spied him. Blake…former Delta and adventure lover was stuck in a mind-numbing bodyguard mission for an academic at a conference. The only thing holding his attention was the beautiful interpreter he noticed in the balcony and at the hotel. They … the balcony and at the hotel.
They shared a night of passion and were prepared to say goodbye…until Blake watched her kidnapped from a shop the next morning.
Blake’s routine mission became anything but boring and the Amazon rainforest was no hiding place for the men who dared to take Sara.

I have a new Lighthouse Keeper favorite in Blake! What happens when his boring security job in French Guiana turns anything into something else altogether? Finding his attraction to Sara, a French interpreter too hard to resist only to have her taken as a hostage during a jewelry robbery, leaves Blake with only one thing to do – FIND HER! With the help from his team and local authorities, he plans and executes a rescue plan. What follows is an escape by land, boat and air, bringing Blake and Sara closer together. But trouble is not over yet, it’s a must read!
Holy moly what an awesome addition to The LSI series. What starts out as a new, hawt romance evolves into a explosive BANG of twists, turns, murder and mystery. Blake has his work cut out for him to save Sara and protect her from the evil that has penetrated the home front. Loved it
Super great series. A lot of LSI Keepers, hopefully a lot more books.
An action packed steamy thriller just one more chapter read.
4.5 Stars
This is book 5 in the Lighthouse Security series and it features Blake and Sara. A one night stand turns into a rescue mission for Blake, as Sara is kidnapped by a drug lord in French Guiana. Their attraction is instant and deep. He’s the big, strong alpha man and she’s the small, shy, pretty one. Perfect! I love that she was the shy one but not afraid to step up and do what needs to be done.
The action and adventure were amazing! The romance was beautiful and real. The characters were great and I can’t wait for the next book.
Be still my heart. Blake and Sara are an awesome couple. This story with its action, river escapes, and love is another awesome example of the wonderful writing skills of Maryann Jordan. Blake and Sara just happen to be at the right place at the right time in so many ways. Definitely 5 stars.
Maryann Jordan knows how to do it right and she does it every time with each book she crafts. Remarkable multilayered characters are incorporated into an evenly paced story with the perfect mix of suspense intrigue, danger and romance. You quickly become invested as the story unfolds. In this case, Blake proves that Maryann knows how to write an alpha male to perfection. He’s sexy, smart, skilled, sensitive and a protector. Sara Lancaster a splendid pairing for Blake. She’s intelligent, accomplished, courageous, tenacious and beautiful. When she becomes Blake’s mission, there’s no stopping this one man wrecking crew. Sara keeps her wits about her, plays it smart and handles herself admirably. The outcome is never in question but that doesn’t mean that you don’t get a rollercoaster ride along the way!
As with the first 4 books Of the LSI series, I LOVE Blake. what he thinks is another boring assignment becomes anything but that. Instead he meets Sara, and spends a wonderful night with her before she’s kidnapped. Maryann Jordan is a master of writing a book that you can’t put down, you have to keep turning those pages until you get to the end, no matter how late at night or early in the morning it is! And it’s totally worth it!!!
Just when Blake thinks his latest assignment is his most boring one yet, he catches site of a beautiful redhead and finds that his life is about to change forever. Being a interpreter has been a dream job for Sara and when she catches sight of the most handsome man she has ever set eyes on, she finds that her life changes in a way she was not expecting. When Sara is taken hostage in front of Blake’s eyes during a robbery, his only thought is that he must do everything to get her back. They have a bumpy and dangerous road to their possible HEA and I was kept on the edge of my seat wondering what would happen next. I LOVE the Lighthouse Security Investigations series and just like the previous Keeper’s story, Blake did not disappoint! GET THIS BOOK!
I was given an ARC in exchange for an honest and totally voluntary review.
Get for page turning action. Blake and Sara’s tale is part of the Lighthouse series . It is a stand alone book however more enjoyable for getting to see how the rest of the crew is doing. Another excellent tale with this author.
Blake, former Delta, is currently working for Lighthouse Security. He’s just been assigned a case where he’s a bodyguard for a professor attending an economic summit in French Guiana. It’s not normally the type of “challenging” work he thrives on, but it’s his assignment. On his last night in French Guiana, he works up the nerve to speak with the translator that caught his eye during the summit. After spending an amazing night together, she almost slips away without saying goodbye. They’re in the hotel gift shop when an armed robbery occurs and Sara is taken hostage. Now the adventure begins…
Sara, an American translator, takes jobs at home and abroad. When offered the opportunity to travel to French Guiana, she jumps at the chance. Her cubicle at the UN and her tiny apartment are starting to close in on her. Sara was raised traveling with her parents in the Peace Corp and welcomes the travel opportunity—especially when she lays eyes on Blake. Sara never dreamed she’d have the opportunity to be with a man like Blake, but took a chance and approached him anyway. When she’s taken hostage, she only hopes Blake will come for her.
The adventure, the travel abroad, Americans in trouble in a foreign country, had me reading well into the night. It’s number five in the series, but one of my favorites! For a young female, traveling to a foreign country is scary this day and age. Anything can happen in the blink of an eye. It’s scary to think that someone could kidnap you, never to be seen again. Influential drug lords have the police, politicians, and others in their pockets and can get away with a lot.
The story was very informative and ends with a HEA. I read a gifted copy and all opinions stated are my own.
I am voluntarily posting an honest review after reading an ARC copy of this book.
Blake (Lighthouse Security Investigations #5) is absolutely fantastic. Blake has moved to the top of my favorite of the Lighthouse Security Investigation series. This story is about Blake and Sara. Blake is sent to French Guinea on a mission to escort a professor, Stanley, who is afraid to travel, to an economic conference. This mission has left Blake a little bored; however, while at the conference, a woman with red hair catches his eye. On his last night there, he finally meets Sara, the women with the red hair. Sara Lancaster is an interpreter working at the conference. Sara also has noticed Blake. On Blake’s last evening there he is in the hotel bar having a drink when he finally gets the opportunity to meet Sara. She joins Blake at his table and they spend the evening together. While escorting Sara back to her room he takes a chance and invites Sara to his room. As soon as the door closes…WHAM, these two are all over each other, and spend a very HOT night together. When Blake wakes up, he discovers that Sara has left. Disappointed, Blake was hoping to see Sara again before he left. At breakfast, Stanley heads over to the gift shop, and Blake once again gets the opportunity he was hoping for when Sara comes down for breakfast. Blake invites her to join him, and they enjoy a wonderful breakfast together. Okay, that is all I am saying because this is when the action and suspense occurs. When an incident happens, my thoughts naturally went to my favorite line to one of my favorite movies; The Last of the Mohicans, “You be strong, you survive…You stay alive, no matter what occurs! I will find you. No matter how long it takes, no matter how far, I will find you. I absolutely loved everything about Blake (swoon). This story has you on the edge of your seat throughout the book, and you cannot help, but to hope that things work out for these two. I am a huge fan of Maryann Jordan, and have read all of her books. She has such a way with character development, and making you feel and experience everything the characters are feeling and experiencing. By the end of the first chapter you know exactly who all the characters are and their place in the story. Blake (Lighthouse Security Investigations, book #5) can be read as a standalone, but I would start with Mace, the first book in the Lighthouse Security Investigations series because the characters from this book make appearances throughout the series. I highly recommend Blake (Lighthouse Security Investigations, book #5). You will not be disappointed. I cannot wait to see what Maryann Jordan has in store for us next.
Blake is a standalone in the Lighthouse Security Investigations series. I love the blend of romance and suspense in this series. Blake is one of Maryann Jordan’s more suspenseful stories. It had me on the edge of my seat throughout most of the book, but the story still had all the swoony romance I crave.
“…he wanted more of her. More of her laughter and teasing. More of her smile. More of her body. More of everything.”
I feel like I say this a lot with this author’s books, but I think I’ve found a new favorite.
-5 Stars!!-
This is book 5 in the Lighthouse Security series and I would absolutely read the other books before reading this one although it could be read as a stand alone. In this one we get Blake and Sara’s story. Blake is a Keeper who is sent to French Guiana on a bodyguard assignment where he meet’s Sara who is a translator. They have an instant attraction and have a blazing hot night together. Which is all that Sara thinks it will be although they both find out that they truly like each other as well. But when Sara is kidnapped from a hotel store right in front of Blake? His mission has just changed to not only finding her but bringing her home safe and sound. But once they make their escape and return home and Sara is threatened again? Blake knows he will do everything and anything in his power to keep her safe.
I absolutely loved this one. Blake and Sara have this instant attraction that they think will only be for a night. But when they truly spend time together, they realize pretty quickly that they genuinely like each other. And that is pretty rare when it comes to that type of meeting. Sara is sweet but has a backbone of steel. She make get knocked down but she will always get up and do what needs doing. Blake is definitely the alpha male and protective as all get out. But he also has this sweet side that you can’t help but love. I loved them both and they way they not only interact with each other but with their friend’s as well. I also loved how it introduced a new character and he reacted to threats to his friends! I heard about a spin-off series with that character and his family and friends and I can’t wait to read that one now!
Loved it!
As a member of Lighthouse Security Blake is use to being ready for anything, when an assignment takes him to French Guiana as a bodyguard for a speaker he knows he’s in for a boring assignment. The highlight of the assignment is when Blake meets Sara a translator, a hot night, a good morning and then a gift shop robbery and kidnapping and the adventure begins!
In Maryann Jordan fashion she gives us a great alpha, a strong heroine and adventure and just enough suspense that’ll have to turning the pages!
Blake
Lighthouse Security
Maryann Jordan
Another gripping romantic suspense story that will have you reading it nonstop.
You have to be careful when you wish for something, you might just get it. A boring assignment, a wish for adventure and Blake ends up with a lot more than he bargained for. Sara leads a quiet life until she is kidnapped. Will Blake be able to save her? This is why you will have a late night read because you just have to know how Blake will protect her.
Another great addition to the Lighthouse Security Investigations.
Blake goes on a mission to French Guiana. While there a woman catches his eye and then finally on the last day he and Sara meet. They have an instant connection, but the action and intensity stat there because Sara is kidnapped while shopping. The excitement continues through the Amazon. And let me just tell you the connection between these two is tangible. The action is intense. It will hold you captive!
Blake is another awesome read in the Lighthouse Series! This seriously needs to be made into a television series! I always say the one I currently read is my favorite but honestly, they all are. I loved them all and I can’t pick a favorite! Ms. Jordan’s heroes are always the right combination of sweet and spicy! Blake is no exception. I love him! And Sara is perfect for him. This story is packed full of suspense, action, adventure, romance and sizzle! Kept me up way past my bedtime! I’m looking forward to the next book in this series. I know it will be awesome too!
Have you ever read a book where it totally drew you in to where you were totally into the story but when it ended you had a hard time returning to reality?
For me, that’s THIS book!
Everyone just needs to read it!
Another great book in this wonderful series
Blake is the 5th book in the Lighthouse Security Series. Blake meets Sara while on a bodyguard assignment. The attraction is immediate and passion ensues as well as the danger. Blake witnesses Sara being kidnapped and immediately makes a plan to save her. Making their way to safety, they become closer and begin to fall in love. Back in the states, she may not be safe yet. I love the Lighthouse Series(and all the other series as well). There is mystery, danger, and a great love story everyone can enjoy and love. Maryann is a wonderful writer and I enjoy rereading her books over and over. I am looking forward to Tate’s story and also excited for her new Hope City Series, as we are introduced very briefly to Sean in this story.
