Can’t something interesting happen? Sara, an American interpreter was bored out of her mind working at an economic conference in French Guiana. Then she spied him. Blake…former Delta and adventure lover was stuck in a mind-numbing bodyguard mission for an academic at a conference. The only thing holding his attention was the beautiful interpreter he noticed in the balcony and at the hotel. They … the balcony and at the hotel.
They shared a night of passion and were prepared to say goodbye…until Blake watched her kidnapped from a shop the next morning.
Blake’s routine mission became anything but boring and the Amazon rainforest was no hiding place for the men who dared to take Sara.

This is a pretty intense romantic suspense that will keep you page turning and wanting more. Follow Blake and Sara through the wilds of the Amazon rainforest as he tries to rescue her from kidnappers. He’s a former Delta Forces member and a security bodyguard for the famed security firm, Lighthouse. She’s an American interpreter on an International assignment. The chemistry between the two is amazing and guaranteed to set your Kindle on fire. Well written with strong, well developed characters and an engaging story No shortage of drama, suspense or danger. This might be my most favorite Lighthouse book to date. I read an arc copy and voluntarily chose to write a review. A great read that I know you will enjoy.
Maryann has done it again! Blake and Sara’s story is filled with adventure, angst, humor and Ultimately love! Her words draw you in and you feel like your part of her beautifully written books!
Looking forward to Tate & Hope City thanks for that little introduction
It’s no secret I’m a huge fan of Maryann Jordan’s books and yes I’m pretty sure I’ve said each story is the best every time I read a new book, but Blake is a one of a kind, both the man and the book. I was so caught up in the romance and the suspense, I can’t say which one held my attention more. I think I held my breath through the majority of the time I was reading. There was just so much to love in Blake’s book. He and Sara are made for each other and fall for each other immediately, yet not believing it will go beyond the one night they are afforded. When it becomes apparent there is more in store for them, the journey begins and wow, what a road they travel. I don’t want to give too much away so I won’t go into more detail, however, as the suspense grows so does their feelings. I think I fell just as hard for Blake and Sara as they did for each other lol.
Blake is so well-written in every way. Ms. Jordan’s word usage, character definition, emotions, etc are all present in a big way. I give Blake’s book 5+ stars. I can’t wait to read Tate’s story. I have a feeling he is going to fall hard when faced with his past. Congratulations, Maryann Jordan, you pulled off another masterpiece.
Blake had just returned from a mission, a rather boring one and he really wanted something with a bit more action. Unfortunately he was assigned as security to a man attending an economics summit in Guiana. A man with no threats against him, just a fear of being in a foreign country.
He settles in somewhat with Stanley, but really didn’t see the point in traveling if you weren’t going to do some site-seeing and sample some local cuisine.
Blake notices one of the translators, her hair is what caught his eye, but she was magnificent in all ways. Unfortunately he thinks he’s missed his chance with her only to have her return to the bar where he was enjoying a drink alone on the last day.
Sara and Blake share an explosive evening, one that has him waking alone. He does however get the opportunity to see her at breakfast after Stanley heads to a lobby shop to get gifts for family.
He intends to catch up with Stanley and does when Sara expresses a desire to purchase a scarf she saw earlier, a sort of tradition started by her mother.
Then the fun begins.
Let me say here that I was surprised at the reluctance of the police to help. It was only with Mace’s insistence that Blake was given an officer to assist and escort him where he needed to be. More back up would be coming in the form of Drew and Tate to get them safely home.
Blake and Sara are pursued down the Lawa River. Only to find they really are compatible and when all this is done they want to see where their relationship can go.
Fast-paced and emotional with plenty of action, twists, plus romance and sizzle.
Blake is the latest installment in the Lighthouse Security Investigation series. MaryAnn Jordan takes us on a ride with twist turns and hair raising action. While on an easy mission he meets Sara and through the right place wrong time event this mission then changes and Sara becomes the Mission. This is another great book with awesome characters and edge of your seat action. A must-read by a great author. I received this as an ARC and voluntarily give my review.
If you like adventure, drama and suspense coupled with romance then this is for you. This is a very well written and entertaining story which I thoroughly enjoyed and recommend.
5 “Happy Sigh” Stars
I just finished Blake by Maryann Jordan and can’t remember finishing a book so fast. This was a fast-paced, enjoyable read. The action started right away and kept me on the edge of my seat. And watching the relationship between Blake (super hot) and Sara (super smart) transpire made for an enjoyable journey. It was great to revisit previous couples in the Lighthouse series, but in my opinion, Blake can be read as a stand-alone.
I have never read a Lighthouse Security book that disappoints – or a Maryann Jordan book, for that matter, and Blake is no different. Literally babysitting a nervy conference speaker, Blake meets an interpreter that transforms the tedious mission – right up until the time, after a night together, she is kidnapped while they’re together in the hotel boutique. Sara is thrust into a nightmare in the French Guiana, with Blake desperate to rescue her, but with none of his LSI friends at hand at first. The suspense factor in this book is orbital; the tension never lets up, and the reader feels as though they’re with Blake as he tracks her and afterwards – because that isn’t the end. There is romance, there is heat, there is the usual LSI hotness, and there is suspense and action – and these combine into a book you will want to read over and over. Sara is another LSI woman that is as strong as her man, and her mental fortitude adds even more to this story.
I received a free copy of this book. This review was posted voluntarily.
Blake (Lighthouse Security Investigations book 5) is another great addition to this already amazing series. Maryann Jordan has written an action packed, suspense filled story, with danger and plenty of heat. I just want to say wow the characters are well developed and easy to like. Blake works for LSI and is on a bodyguard mission when his attention is caught by a beautiful red haired interpreter. Sara finds the handsome man standing below her much more interesting then what she is interpreting at the moment. When they meet up the night before they are scheduled to leave they have an incredible connection. But when things take a turn the next morning Sara finds herself in a horrible nightmare and Blake is determined to rescue her at all costs. This is just where the journey begins and will have you turning the pages as quickly as you can to see what awaits these two. For me this was one fantastic story that kept me hooked and unable to put this book down. If you love strong Intelligent women and the men who want to be with them and protect them this is definitely the book for you. This is a must read one you won’t want to miss.
Another fantastic book by Maryann Jordan! I liked the way Blake and Sara were introduced in the story. I liked them as a couple. There is a definite connection between them. Maryann’s writing drew me in as a reader. I liked the way she blends in action, steamy romance, and the involvement of the secondary characters. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book.
I received this book as an ARC and this is my honest opinion.
Blake is book five of this outstanding Lighthouse Security Series . Blake is assigned a boring bodyguard job in French Guiana . Blakes
attention is caught on a beautiful interpreter .
Sara is a American Interpreter at the conference is taken with Blake . They spend a steamy night together . The next morning before they can say goodbye Sara is kidnapped .
Blake enlists the help of the Lighthouse keepers and the French Guiana Police to rescue Sara .
Blake and Sara escape by traveling the dangers of the Lawa river . Blake and Sara continue their relationship once they return to America .
Sara finds herself in as much danger at home . This story is absolutely amazing . A suspenseful and romantic filled story . I highly recommend taking the time to read and enjoy .
We are back with the strong, and protective men and women of LIghthouse Security Investigations. Men who little by little have found their soulmates. Women that are strong, self-sufficient and supportive.
This time the story belongs to former Delta Force operative, Blake Walker.
He is in French Guiana as a bodyguard for a man at an academic conference. The same conference that brings, interpreter, Sara Lancaster, to Guiana.
The one night stand left them wanting more b, until Sara is kidnapped and Blake assigns himself as her rescuer, along with LSI.
The action is non-stop, the main characters strong and likable, and even when you think the danger is over, it really isn’t .
As always, it was a delight to “visit” with the rest of the LSI crew.
This is another well written story that leaves the reader wanting to know what’s in store for Tate, one of Blake’s co-workers.
I was entrusted a copy of this book. The opinions expressed are solely my own.
Yet another book from Maryann Jordan for me to love…
Maryann gives us another heart stopping, suspense filled romance. Blake is the fifth book in her Lighthouse Security Investigations series and has become my new favorite. Going into Blake’s book I knew it would be good but I was totally unprepared for the way this book captured all my attention. Let me just say that I instantly feel in love with Blake, I was swooning. The instant connection between Blake and Sara was very believable. It was just there. Sara is a kick ass heroin with a very likable personality. I am not going to put any spoilers in my review so I will just say that you of have not read any books in this series, you owe it to your self to experience Maryann Jordan’s “Keepers”.
Another fantastic story in the LSI series, Blake and Sara – if you want to experience the “feels” then this is the book for you.
I haven’t read a Maryann Jordan book that I haven’t enjoyed, but Blake’s story had me experiencing a good dose of the feels.
Get this in your reading queue as soon as possible, you won’t be disappointed.
Another great Maryann Jordan book – the Lighthouse Keepers Blake is great! Don’t miss this read especially if you love her work and the Keepers series. You won’t be sorry! Blake meets Sara on a mission with someone else and notices her pretty face and gorgeous red hair. He doesn’t get to meet her until the last night of the trip and their chemistry is magic! They share a hot fling and she leaves him before morning. He wakes up unhappy that she’s not there but has the opportunity to see her and reconnect at breakfast. During a quick shopping trip after breakfast, she is kidnapped right under his nose. The book focuses on his desire to rescue her and the actual rescue itself. They both realize that they have feelings for one another that go beyond a fling but can’t realize those feelings until Sara is home safe and sound. Blake is a typical Jordan alpha hero that has a sweet heart. Sara is an absolute doll who is far tougher that her outside persona suggests. There is a good amount of suspense and thrilling excitement. We can connect with other keepers, check on the previous couples and get set up for the next keeper and Jordan’s new series. You will be sorry if you miss this one, so be sure to grab it! Another winner!
Blake meets Sara while on a mission. On their last day, there is a robbery at the store they are at and she is kidnapped.
Blake has to get her back. Sara is being held to be a teacher and knows she has to get out of there. It’s not safe.
Can Blake find her in time? Has another Keeper found his mate?
Another fantastic book from this author. Plenty of steamy romance and amazing rescues. The way this author writes, I cannot put her books down. I don’t like to read books where either the man or the woman is constantly misunderstanding and waffling about the attraction. With Maryann Jordan’s books, when the man finds their perfect mate, they know it and either go after it or do whatever is necessary to make sure they get the girl, which is usually in a very sexy rescue scene. I always have a big smile on my face when I finish her books and eagerly wait for her next one.
