Warning: Corked and Tapped is the name of the local neighborhood bar, though the patrons may argue it is far from ordinary. Be prepared for high heat, unapologetic exhibitionism, and a whole new level when it comes to “one-night stands.”Blaire“I could take my shirt off if you want.” The moment she heard him speak, she knew his words were more than just flirtatious banter. At least she hoped that … banter. At least she hoped that was the case. But when a random stranger accidentally punched her in the jaw, his intentions were confirmed. The larger-than-life bouncer at her favorite bar immediately lost his shit. She just prayed he was serious because her heart couldn’t take it if he wasn’t.

A hot, spicy & quick romance with a surprise.
Blaire spends every Friday night at Corked and Tapped, the local bar, so she can be out of the apartment for her roommate. But mainly because she has a huge crush on Kyle, one of the bouncers. So when she shows up on the day before Thanksgiving, he knows something is up. But what happens between them is amazing and makes them admit they should’ve gone on a date sooner.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book and the little twist that is thrown into this one is sweet and ever so satisfying at the same time.
This is the ninth book in the Corked and Tapped series and it can be read as a standalone but it’s much better when read in the order it’s written because of revolving characters and storylines.
I received a free copy of this book via Bookfunnel and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Latest read in the Corked & Tapped series by this author & I’m still loving them. This story is of Kyle, the buff bouncer & Blaire, an introvert who comes to Corked & Tapped every week while her roommate has her boyfriend over. What I love about a number of stories in this series (not just this one) is that while the ‘action’ takes place in a very short space of time, it’s as a result of a build up between the characters that may have been going on for months (in this case). This gives the reader all the feel good rush in a single sitting. I loved this couple. They are each overcoming their own insecurities to trust the other & learning that the risk is worth it. When is the next book due?
Blaire is a charming novella that’s the definition of insta-love. Blaire and Kyle have known one another, if only by observation, for months. Every Friday, Blaire comes to the Corked and Tapped bar where Kyle works as a bouncer, and they eye one another. A lot. And they haven’t done much else, until one night when Blaire is accidentally punched in the face and Kyle’s protective bouncer instincts kick into overdrive.
Blaire and Kyle are unique characters in this series because of their innocence combined with their sensual awareness of one another. As hyperfocused on the couples as this series requires with its novella-length romances, Blaire and Kyle are basically the only characters in this book. And they are the kind of people you’d want to meet in real life—shy yet accessible, knowing yet sweet, and just fun to read about.
Because of this, I found Blaire to be one of most delightful entries in this series. And yes, this novella is absolutely about insta-love. If that drives you nuts, this is not the novella for you. But if you’d enjoy a dose of sweet and sexy combined with immediate love, Blaire is a great choice for your next read.
Blaire’s roommate entertains her boyfriend on Fridays normally and Blaire goes to Corked & Tapped to study leaving her roommate the apartment. Blaire shows up at Corked & Tapped greets Kyle his brow is furrowed and Kyle asks what are you doing here on a Wednesday? Blaire asks who say’s I can’t come on a weeknight? Kyle says not me. You can come anytime you want because when your here the room lights up. Blaire giggles as Kyle holds the door for her. Blaire secretly wishes that Kyle would see her more than just a friend. This is the Very Basic Beginning…..Smile…. I loved this story. I was given this and I voluntarily leave this review.
This series is definitely keeping me on my toes. The releases are quick and they are short and satisfying reads.
Blaire has been flirting with the Corked and Tapped bouncer Kyle for a while now. She comes in every Friday and sits at the same table and alternates her drinks with tonic water. This week is Thanksgiving and her roommate decided to switch up her night for Wednesday.
Kyle is surprised to see her but goes with the flow, doing a bit of flirting himself as he takes a break. Called away to help escort a drunk, he’s too far away to stop the altercation that ends with Blaire getting punched.
Taking her to his apartment since she couldn’t return to her own, the conversation becomes very revealing.
I love Kyle and the way this plays out is sweet, sexy and heart-melting.
I can’t wait to read the next book in this series!
The thing I love about Becca Jameson’s Corked and Tapped series books is that they are quick, easy, love stories to read with great characters, minimal drama, lots of sizzle and a guaranteed HEA. In Blaire there’s a delightful twist that made me grin from ear to ear.
Blaire and Kyle have been secretly lusting after each other for months….who knew? To date, their encounters have consisted of polite conversation and lots of surreptitious ogling. Now thanks to a bar fight they can finally act out their fantasies. The stuff their dreams are made of.
This is the 9th Book in the “Corked and Tapped” series and I absolutely adored Blair and Kyle! The storyline was well written and the characters were written with such great detail and depth that I remained totally engaged until the turn of the very last page!
I voluntarily offered to review this book with no obligations and my opinions are honest!
This was a great book !
Blaire is spending every Friday at the bar to give her roommate some privacy.
There she meets Kyle, the sexy bouncer.
Kyle had a crush on Blaire, and he was slowly building the courage to ask her out.
Fun read!
Loved the characters + the storytelling !
It has all the ingredients that you need for a great book!
I can’t wait for the next book in this series.
I volunteered to read and review an advanced readers copy of BLAIRE .
This is a sexy and steamy and very delightful not to mention romantic novella just in time for Thanksgiving .
Blaire has been spending Friday nights at Corked and Tapped because her room mate claims Friday nights for private time with her boyfriend . Blaire has been watching the hot and sexy Bouncer for six months , little does she know that Kyle the Bouncer has been watching her and slowly building the courage to ask her out .
Soon things heat up after trouble at Corked and Tapped . Kyle and Blaire soon find out that both have secrets and feelings for each other . I really enjoyed reading this Novella . I highly recommend reading .
OMG, this novella was so darn romantic. Kyle is utterly amazing. The back and forth eye contact for months at Corked and Tapped. When a bar fight breaks out all hell or heaven breaks loose? There is not much I can say that would not cause spoilers. Let me tell you that I will read and re-read this story over and over that’s how much I enjoyed it! Thank you Ms. Jameson for book 9! I loved it!
Holy Cow THIS novella is total ROMANCE and a phenomenal MUST-READ!
I just finished my VOLUNTARY reading of BLAIRE by Becca Jameson and have to say, “Holy Cow THIS IS one of the BEST ROMANCES I have EVER READ!” Author Becca Jameson, best known for her outstanding romances that usually contain some kink, a bit of suspense, and always non-stop action, presents BLAIRE, the ninth of twelve short romances in her TAPPED AND CORKED series. BLAIRE is a shorter novella, which means this masterpiece of fewer than 100 pages is perfect for those who would like to relax after a hectic day, perhaps with a glass of wine along with the Kindle or paperback for a bit of relaxing entertainment. BLAIRE offers that in spades. In addition, romance lovers can expect to laugh, relate, and most probably experience the explosive chemistry between the introverted Blaire and the man she’s admired every Friday night for months, Kyle. The characters are realistic, the dialogue is titillating, and I promise the story is too compelling and romantic to miss. I dare not say more because I don’t want to spoil anything for other readers. While many authors have tried the short evening read; author Jameson has nailed it! The dialogue is erotic, and the scenes are vividly portrayed in author Jameson’s descriptive yet easy to read prose. (So, if that offends, please don’t buy this book.) Again, I voluntarily read a copy of BLAIRE and it is by far, my favorite of the series, so far. This is my VOLUNTARY and HONEST 5+review. Normally I don’t allow more than 4 stars in rating for any manuscript less than 250 pages, but if ever there was a reason to award 5 or more points to a short story, then surely BLAIRE has earned it. I STRONGLY suggest readers purchase their copies of BLAIRE today! Happy pages!
Wow, I wasn’t expected two virgins in one short and steamy story! Kyle, the big buff bouncer is a dream, and university student Blaire is beyond adorable. She’s sweet, intelligent, and completely innocent, while Kyle is a gentle man with the body of a bruiser. The juxtaposition of the characters brings the whole sweet story into such clear definition that you feel you’re there with them, experiencing all theirs firsts and intense emotions right along with them!
