AshleyWith marriage, there are things you can and can’t live with.Harry, my abusive husband, made that clear enough when he beat me like a dog, forced a miscarriage on me, and tried posing me as a hostage to my father’s notorious biker gang, The Reapers. I was lucky enough to get out of my marriage in one piece but it’s only a matter of time before he picks up my trail and hunts me down. … down. Blackjack––swears he’ll kill him the second he steps foot in town. I know he means well but there’s something about his stare when he tells me I deserve better. A part of me wants to believe I deserve someone like him and yet my bruises are telling me never to trust another man again. But Blackjack isn’t like any other man. Is he?
Blackjack
When I enlisted into the army, I didn’t think I’d have anything or anyone to lose––except for her. Ashley Monroe, the blonde wild-child of Montana’s Reapers MC. It shouldn’t have been a surprise when I came back home years later to find out that she left town and ended up married. Life went on of course and I was fortunate enough to have Dex, a son of my own. Three years later, Ashley came back beaten and broken from her marriage. I’ve never wanted to kill a man so bad in my entire life. Just one look at her and I’m drowning with the urge to hold her in my arms and tell her that she’s safe with me, truly. Sometimes I wonder if there’s still enough strength in both of us for a second shot in life.

Blackjack is the first book in Elizabeth Knox’s Reapers MC series featuring Ashley, who has been married to a physically abusive husband who is part of the Reaper’s MC group, and Blackjack, who falls for Ashley when he returns from a stint in the Army. Blackjack swears he will protect Ashley and strives to make their second chance at love successful even when difficulties surround their journey to love. I recommend this read which has action, adventure, drama, unexpected twists, revenge, passion, and sizzling chemistry.

Loved the book it was great, the story was well written and the characters are interesting. Blackjack fell in love with someone much to young and out of respect, he joined the military, only to find she married while he was away. Ashley married Harry he kept abusing her it finally to an end when he bashed her severely that if she did not leave she would be dead. It was a heart felt emotions, there was a lot of action, pain, love/hate relationship, heart palpitations to finally get the HEA.

She needs a hero and he is now willing to be it
Blackjack is the first book in the Reapers MC series by Elizabeth Knox. I have read other books by this author and for the most part enjoyed them. When I saw that this was the first book in the series and I had read later books of the series I was excited, especially after I read the book description. The edition that I read is a newly edited and proofreader version so I know that there have been a lot of improvements to it. There were still a number of minor proofreading errors but not so much that they really stopped the flow of the story for me.
I found this story to be very riveting and the characters were addictive. Ashley and Blackjack are wonderful together in this second chance at love story. He may have let her go once when they were younger but now that she is back he is not going to let her go. He will do anything to protect her and prove that he can be love her the way she should be and that they can have a future together.
I received a free ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review. My opinions are all my own.
Ashley and Blackjack have a history and when she comes back home broken Blackjack is there to help her anyway he can. They both have feelings that have left them unsure of what they should do. When her ex comes and tries to get her back they come up with that they sure will work. But when everything comes to head will they be able to survive or will it all end?
Caught me right from the beginning and didn’t let go . It has all feels the good the bad and everything in middle you wont want to stop reading it. Can’t wait to read more from this author
Elizabeth Knox is one of my favorite all time authors that I have read for years. This was the reedited version of BlackJack that I originally read & purchased in 2017. A lot of the errors I could remember from the original edition were fixed in this copy. I really liked this book because the abuse that Ashley went through wasn’t watered down, it hit you smack in the face. You can’t help but cheer for her because she takes control of her life and goes home to family. BlackJack let her go once but he got his second chance when she came back and he wasn’t letting her go. This book has everything you could ask for: steamy love and romance; the suspense, adventure and action that an MC reader would expect/want.

Ashley runs away from her abusive husband to return home. Once home she reconnects with the love of her life that got away. Blackjack is much older than she is. He left because he had feelings for her and she was only 16 at the time. She has grown up and with her return brings trouble as her husband and the MC he is with are out to fetch her back as their property. Her father and his club fight to keep her safe. Can Blackjack protect her from her abusive soon to be ex-husband? Will their love be strong enough to overcome the odds? HEA.
A riveting and thrilling second chance book one in the Reapers MC series! The story-line is well written, engaging, emotionally deep, funny, and enjoyable. A steamy page turner with drama, ups and downs, suspense, danger, abuse, and off the charts chemistry! The characters are well developed, strong, and likeable; the chemistry between them is blazing hot! I look forward to reading the next book in the series. Definitely recommended.

I thought this was a good read that was good at keeping my attention the whole time. I liked how strong Ashley was and am glad she got her second chance with Blackjack.

Blackjack is a member of the Reapers MC and Ashley is the daughter of the president of the MC. This is an intense love story about a woman who married and ended up with an abusive husband. When she finally leaves him she decides to head back to her father and the MC. Years before Blackjack fell for Ashley and now she’s back and the connection is still there. This is an intense read with spousal abuse, action, revenge, steam and a great HEA.
This is Blackjack and Ashley’s story. Ashley is an MC Princess and the Reaper’s MC Prez’s daughter. She has returned home from being severely beaten by her husband. Fist wants to get revenge on her husband who is a member of the The Bear’s MC. Ash and Blackjack have a history, but after something happens, he leaves. There is a lot of feelings between the two, but Ashley doesn’t want her heart to get broken again. This story is a second chance story with suspense, drama, action, enemies and twists and turns. Blackjack is willing to put everything on the line for Ashley. He will protect her with his life. Will Ashley accept that she and Blackjack are meant to be? I love the Reaper’s and I also loved the interaction between Ashley and Dex, Blackjack’s son. This is such a great series and I loved the storyline and the characters are fantastic.
When you leave to find your own way in life you think you know what you are doing.Ashley has had enough of her husband Harry, the beatings are taking their toll on her. When she over hears Harry talking to another M/C President plotting to take her as collateral against her fathers club she knows its time to leave Harry for good. When she finally arrives home no one can believe the mess she’s in,and the one man she has lusted after all her life sticks by her side while she heals and they both know the attraction is still there but she is off limits she’s the club princess.
Another wonderful MC romance from this very talented author her books always draw you in and keep you engaged
Blackjack and Ashley have history she is a daughter of the MC he was a member of he was always attracted to her but he knew she was far to young for him so he left to join the military taking himself a way from temptation Ashley went on to marry Harry a scumbag who beat her regularly when he takes that so far that he nearly kills her and threatens her true family the MC she knows she has to return and warn them. Blackjack has also returned to the MC and when they meet again the sparks flare between them will he give in this time to the passion he feels and will it be mutual There is plenty of steamy scenes for you to realise their passion for one another in
Ashley is broken but Blackjack wants to be there for her. He is swoony with his protective ways and his want at a second chance with Ashley. I loved them and the way they had to grow to get to where they needed to be with each other.

Ok I love the Reapers MC but this story left me questioning what Elizabeth was trying to say. I have read every other story in this series but this one left me feeling like I had missed something or made me feel as if I was having to read the authors mind at times to try and decipher what she was trying to convey. I got the jist of Blackjack and Ashleys relationship but a lot of it seemed to be filler with no explanation to the why the filler was there or even needed. I love the characters but this seemed as if it was drawn out and like the characters were put into silly situations that really they didn’t to be just to tell a story. I really hope that there is more to come I so actually really like this MC.

Elizabeth Knox really knows how to lure her readers into a story that makes them feel like they are sitting in a room observing and this is exactly what this author did with me! The well written story had a fantastic plot and the characters were so well detailed that as I turned each page Ashley and Blackjack kept me totally engaged! This book was so hard to put down once I started reading it!
I just stumbled upon this MC series and I am so glad I did. This book gave me the same feeling I got when I watched SOA for the first time, basically I was ready to quit my job and jump on the back of Blackjack’s bike and become an old lady. This book made me cringe at times, laugh out loud and gasp a few times. It was the kind of book that will keep you on the edge of your seat while you are burning through the pages to see what happens next.
Ashley is a M.C. princess that starts out in a horrible marriage full of abuse. She is luckily able to get away after a particularly bad interaction with her husband and is able to get herself back to her dad’s club. While there she starts to heal both physically and mentally and a large part of that healing has to do with reconnecting with her family and her former crush Blackjack.
Blackjack is a hot, sexy, former army medic that left town when things got too heated, when he returned a few years later Ashley was gone. He knew he was too old for her but now that she needs someone to protect her, he knows hes the man for the job. With the threat of her husband and his MC hanging over their heads Ashley and Blackjack have to figure out if they can finally get their happily ever after.
I am so glad this is a series and I am looking forward to reading the rest of it!

ONE PHENOMENAL TREAT!!!
Thrilling! Elizabeth drops the bomb, kicking ass and taking names, dragging rubbish through fiery pits of hell, blowing this baby into a tailspin with a shocking culmination. Non-stop, action packed, hard hitting, heart pounding, pulse racing, nailbiting, nerve racking, block busting, jaw dropping, page flipping bombshell, ripping ’em up and striping ’em down, melding this gem together piece by piece seamlessly. Struggling as the perilous drama, intense danger and electrifying suspense lead the show, blasting this jewel to life spectacularly. Add distress, intrigue and turmoil along with a boatload of trouble and you have one explosive adventure. Traversing the trials and tribulations, sharp twists, sleek turns and thin lines, testing our characters in ways they could have never anticipated. The chemistry sizzles from the pages alluring and mesmerizing until you feel the electrifying hum through your veins. The characters personalities are authentic, genuine and realistic with depth and qualities that blend into amazing personalities. The scenes are strikingly sharp with abundant details and descriptions you have no problem picturing each scenario creating a colorful backdrop that makes the storyline pop. Magnificent job Elizabeth, thanks for sharing this bad boy with us.
A start of a new series from a author I adore to read. Perfect timing needing to be swept away with this one doing just that. My heart right away goes with Ashley whom has endured much but gotten away for now. Then along comes Blackjack who really gets us all in a twist. To have him hold your heart and defend you in a way that goes with it. Oh what a deep shot at a second chance this one is. You find you are slowly holding your breath wanting everything how you want it but life will give the emotional tugs to have this be one of those reads that wrap around you.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. The book is about a woman(Ashley) that got married a man (Harry) and moved away from her family for five years. Ashley was trying to make it work but things are not what they seam She was pregnant but when she told Harry he did not want it so now Ashley took off. Blackjack was at the club house when she got back to her family a long with her father at the club house. Now would be the time to get the book. I will be getting more from this author. Thank You for writing the books so we can read them.
