LorneMy best friend just hooked up with the girl of his dreams. To say I’m devastated is an understatement. But, it’s nothing a nice rebound relationship can’t fix.At least that’s the story I spin myself. So, go out. Get drunk. Get laid. Wake up fixed. It’s a plan. A sound plan. Even a half sensible one. That’d be why I seduce my straight–questioning–soon to be new co-star instead. But it’s cool. … co-star instead.
But it’s cool. It’s fine. Honestly.
Until she shows up.
His very wet dream. In our bath tub.
And then we get snowed in.

6 Stars! “Black Velvet if you please.”
I have never read anything written by this author before BLACK VELVET. Now I find myself saving pennies to buy up all the books I can find written by Madelynne Ellis. Her work is incredible.
I found BLACK VELVET to be encompassing. The characters drew me in and wouldn’t let go until the very end of the story. The reading of the book played out like a movie in my head. The characters’ depth and the storyline’s strength made the reading time fly by all too quickly.
I may have to get a part-time job to afford my new Madelynne Ellis reading habit. But that’s a good thing. Right?
This is the first book of Madelynn’s I’ve read. Black Velvet is an interesting story that was easy to read. Although I didn’t personally connect to Lorne, Mikayla or Jasper I was intrigued at how Madelynn was going to combine M/M and M/M/F relationship. Plenty of moments that tugged at my heart. Definitely steamy moments too! I’m interested in reading the rest of the books in the series.
Actors Lorne and Jaspen, Lorne’s co-star need to go away to rehearse for their scenes .
Lorne would love to have other than acting scenes with Jasper he is hopeful that Jasper would love to have man to man action .
Jasper wan’t sure at first but he was soon convinced that this was for him
Lorne is extremely happy as he has always wanted Jasper and now this is perfect he thought until … Mikayla who is an actress arrives , she has mistaken the weekend , but she shouldn’t have worried as for her and Lorne and Jasper this was the weekend where two became three…
I have much laughs reading this easy to read book ..
Good story-line , hot sex , well written.
I first read this story when it was called Bath Bomb. I wasn’t a fan of the title back then, but I understood where it came from. Black Velvet suites this story a heck of a lot better though! Also, this version has, I don’t want to say better but I am lol, storyline all around.
No one, and I seriously mean that, writes M/M and M/M/F like Madelynne does in all genres she writes in. I am highly familiar with her Historical Erotic Romances and she is a queen at sexually driven storylines. This is one of those stories. However, it is also a deeply emotional story if you pay attention. If any of you are familiar with a character named Trey Mills from the series Sinners on Tour by Olivia Cunning, then you will totally get why even though this is a very sexual book, the emotional weight behind the storyline is what really drives the story-line. The ending was a bit bittersweet for me and I could have done without the entire last chapter but *shrug*
Lorne and Jasper were really great couple. They were super hot. I really liked them together with the whole exploring their attraction.
But when Mikayla enters the picture some of that chemistry was lost due to her involvement (for me). I think this story would be better if it was just MM, but that’s just my
opinion. Don’t get me wrong it was an OK read and I did laugh a few times and was biting my nails with the tension but I just wish there was more WOW factor when the 3 of them were together.
Because I loved Lorne and Jasper I’m giving this one -4*.
