And I thought Black Light Valentine would be less compelling as more were written, but I was so wrong as Roulette Wars demonstrates in spades. I am always impressed that the attention to detail is maintained like the blackout which appears in every West story and gives continuity to the book. There was a theme throughout all the stories both east and west that was carefully and successfully maintained that of the healing and process that one of the participants goes through thanks to the insight of their partner. Often it seemed that the partner was uncaring and pushing too far, only to see the healing power of BDSM.
Every story was so so hot and although I cringed a couple of times I cannot deny the turn on of each and every one of these stories. There were some new to me authors who will now be firm favourites – Kaye Elle Parker, Sue Lyndon and Eris Adderly. Then the other authors who have brought me pleasure with their own books but all together in Black Light Roulette are superb and bring the reader to new heights.
INTRODUCTION by Jennifer Bene & Livia Grant
In mid-December, during a Christmas party Dungeon Master Elijah, from Runway West, gets into a bit of a tussle with Spencer Cook, the Dungeon Master from Black Light East. Spencer was insulting and antagonistic. Somehow, the two men annoy each other until a Valentine “Declaration of War” is issued between the two excellent BDSM Clubs. Who will win? And, how will it be decided?
BLACK LIGHT EAST…
PRELUDE by Renee Rose
Lucy has just undergone a breakup and wants to allow herself a new life with a tiny bit of adventure. She hesitantly agrees to attend the Valentine Roulette as a submissive. Ravil is a powerful member of the Moscow Bratva. He is reluctantly accompanying a diplomat who is key to Moscow’s smuggling trade. The minute Ravil sees Lucy, he is drawn to her quiet charisma and her uncertainty. He wants to be the one to teach her how to accept pain and revel in pleasure. And, you will need to read this for yourself to see if he succeeds.
BREATHLESS by Eris Adderly
Anson is a quiet, reserved, highly controlled, germophobeic man. He has been watching, not playing for many months. Good thing he has a true friend who coerced him into applying to be a Dom for the Roulette. Lucy has had a bad past experience with a Dom, so she is also a bit hesitant. But somehow together they just might find a way to erotically enjoy the evening.
BURN by Kay Elle Parker
For Finn, city life is definitely not for him. He prefers to live on his eighty-thousand acre ranch. The only drawback to his country life is the need to bury his desire for a submissive who can handle his dominant side. Ava has been bullied and humiliated by her father leaving her feeling insecure, shattered, and worthless—eventually becoming a cutter. Master Finnegan is able to hone in on her needs almost immediately. The first spin was one I expected. The next two were not!!! Their interplay was so HOT, intense and breathtaking I never wanted it to end!
INFLAMED by Golden Angel
Elliot is looking for a true submissive, not just a manipulative user of kinky fantasies. Lisa is a submissive, but she is a newbie and a bit vocal in her requests. While Elliot is attracted to her, he does not trust her dedication to BDSM. When he spins the Roulette Wheel, Lisa becomes his partner and Fire Play their first challenge. WOW! Exactly what she had been hoping for; yet different than she expected! What a HOT Scene!!!
MEANWHILE AT BLACK LIGHT WEST…
WICKED by Jennifer Bene
Pierce is a trust fund recipient. He is sick of subs after him for his wealth, and it has turned him into an angry, hate-filled sadist. Tori (Baby) thinks she is a Little. She is hoping to find a kind and gentle “Daddy.” She does not. This story is extremely erotic, salacious and it absolutely stole my breath away. You will need to see for yourself what happens. Be ready for mind-bending surprises!
TRAINED by Sue Lyndon
Xavier (Daddy Xavier) is a lonely widower of three years. Mostly he visits Black Light West when his loneliness overwhelms him. Rachael (Dolly) grew up in a strict religious family. She escaped at age eighteen. When they are paired, their first spin is Pet Play. They are able to finish two more spins, but Pet Play provocatively persists through each erotic scene.
UNEXPECTED BY Measha Stone
After working for the FBI, Jack is now a private investigator. Quinn just moved from Chicago to open an office in LA. She still knows no one in the area who can satisfy her needs. When Jack first meets her at the bar, she comes off as an anxious, outspoken bitch. She craves impact play. Although that is not what she rolls, Jack is a strong enough Dom to satisfy both their desires in unique and erotic ways.
FAÇADE by Livia Grant
Sean (Master Wilde) owns a vineyard southeast of L.A. He does not visit the Club more than once every two months. He is the last Dom called, and his sub is running late. When she throws her marble, he promises to start the night with a punishment for her being tardy. Stephanie knows she is late, but is not happy to anticipate discipline along with Pony Play. She is a retired star from the porn industry and threats just make her angry and sassy. She does not really want to play. She just wants to get laid. OMG! This story is exciting and decadent and just plain SCORCHING!
These stories are arousing and enticing. Just read them to discover how fabulous these authors really are.
As a Huge Fan of this series, I look forward to the Roulette held at the most exclusive BDSM club(s) in the country. This year’s crop of contestants are some of the best yet. Split between East and West, you need a score card to keep track of who, in your mind, held the best show. All of the authors provided stories that kept me centered in the club atmosphere. As a group, it makes for one hell of a party for a holiday that I, personally, think is as fake as all of those LA chicks that Pierce despises. But like Pierce, I have now found a reason to celebrate! Thank you one and all for the party in my mind!
This is my first foray into the exclusive Black Light clubs, and boy was this book entertaining! What a fascinating world. The premise for this book is Black Light West and Black Light East are competing by having their members vote on the best roulette scenes.
Prelude by Renee Rose
Ravil is a powerful player of the Bratva and Lucy is a defense lawyer who represents the dark Chicago underbelly. Ravil sets his sights on Lucy immediately. Lucy has baby fever. There is powerful chemistry even though Ravil scares Lucy. There is a mishap with contraception and they seemingly part forever. I see a continuation of this story in the author’s future. I enjoyed this read.
Breathless by Eris Adderly
Anson is a germaphobe who works for the IRS and he must have control of all things. He also doesn’t like certain textures, like rough wood grain. He would love to find someone compatible with his interests but has nearly given up hope. Violet is a document courier with terrible taste in men. She wants a dom who takes charge, but who also respects her. The chemistry is off the charts. I hope the author continues this story. Eris Adderly never disappoints. She is one of my favorite authors.
Burn by Kay Elle Parker
Ava is a young woman with many demons, especially the voice of her father in her head which drives her to cut. Finn is a wealthy cattle farmer with certain naughty proclivities. They roll one scene where Finn compares what he is doing to Ava to birthing a calf. This was both disturbing and intriguing. The chemistry between these two was intense. I really liked Finn. I really hope Ava can get it together.
Inflamed by Golden Angel
Elliott is a dom who likes to follow the correct dom-sub etiquette. Elliott is sick of women who say they are subs but who really aren’t. He was annoyed by Lisa’s aggressive manner in trying to get him to scene with her earlier and he automatically doubts her motives even though he is attracted to her. Of course these two have to end up together! Lisa abandons all of her hard limits. Can she prove to Elliott that she is a real submissive? I enjoyed this story.
Wicked by Jennifer Bene
I discovered a new author who I really like. Pierce is a dom/bully who gets off on degrading women. He has money and has always been plagued by women who just want to be with him because he’s rich and handsome, but who are not real submissives. Tori presents herself as a baby girl who thinks she wants a man to be her daddy, but she secretly craves something more. The first scene rolled is humiliation. Pierce dishes out a lot, but Tori proves she can take it and she wins Pierce over in the process.
Trained by Sue Lyndon
Xavier is a daddy and a widower who mourns the loss of his wife and baby girl. Rachel has escaped from a stifling life and needs someone to sternly guide her with love. The first roll is pet play. I realized I’m really not into the daddy-baby girl dynamic. It skeezes me out for some reason. This is not the author’s fault, however, and Trained is well-written. I do like Xavier’s backstory.
Unexpected by Measha Stone
Quinn can’t help but come off as a hostile woman to people due to her social anxiety. She is quite rude to Jack when she meets him at the bar before they’re matched. Jack is a dom whose facade is laid-back but when it comes down to scenes he needs control. This couple spins diaper play! Quinn is whiny and bratty. I did not find many redeeming qualities about her, but she eventually humors Jack. I think Jack could do better, honestly. Entertaining.
Facade by Livia Grant
Sean is a dom who owns a winery. Karly is a retired pornographic actress and it makes no sense why she belongs to this club, because she’s not into BDSM. Pony Play is the first scene. Karly (Stephanie) tries to top from the bottom and her “woe is me, no one gets me” attitude grated on my nerves. Sean is great and he really advocates for Karly, which is awesome. Good read.
So does East or West win? What was voted best scene? I have no idea yet, but I’d vote for Breathless followed by Wicked!
Thanks to a pissing contest between Black Light East and West we get a whole load of sizzling three hour snapshots courtesy of those magical Roulette wheels. I wonder how they always seem to pair the right people?!
PRELUDE by Renee Rose
Ravil and Lucy. This is a slow burn between a tatted Bratva import and, of all people, a lawyer, that ends in an inferno. Or does it? End, I mean!
BREATHLESS by Eris Adderley
Anson and Violet. I would call one of them a lonely contacto-phobe, (Is that a word?) paired with a fearless woman who gets exactly what they both need.
BURN by Kay Elle Parker
Master Finnegan and Ava. This one packs an emotional punch. Voices of old hurt and wide open spaces collide in a heart achingly beautiful wreck. I need more of those two!
WICKED by Jennifer Bene
Pierce and Tori. One disillusioned sadist out to dismantle his sub of the evening and a Little hoping
to get a nice gentle Daddy. Watch the ensuing battle until the inevitable crash and sweet burn.
TRAINED by Sue Lyndon
Xavier and Rachel. He, a widowed Daddy Dom and she, the product of a strict and abusive upbringing. There’s healing power in them there dungeons!
UNEXPECTED by Measha Stone
Jack and Quinn. One night of stress relieve without the need to really connect. Well, one part was definitely accomplished. In spades! But no connection? Not so much!
FACADE Livia Grant
Sean and Stephanie. One on the verge of leaving Black Light altogether, the other using it as some kind of quick in and out “dumping ground”. Well, you know that saying about well laid plans…!? The three hours are way to short to explore all the reasons why it would be beneficial to both their necessities to continue the “research”!
Another year gone by, another cornucopia of lusciously hot stories by old favorites and new voices, and the hope there will be many follow ups until the next spin of the wheel(s)!
I am such a huge fan of the Black Light series! And Roulette War exceeded my expectations. When I thought this series could not get any better, this book proved me wrong!
It was a battle between East and West. And what a competition!
Elijah and Spencer, both believing their own club was the best, decided to make a friendly competition for the members to decide which club will be the home of the trophy.
Black List East starts off the series, spinning the wheel to decide who will play with whom, and which kink will be their goal for 30 minutes. And oh my goodness, those players came to win!
Black List West, same rules, same wheel making the decisions for the night. And some of those scenes were spectacular!
I have found some new book boyfriends in this series. I loved Ravil (hmmm) and Elliot from the East. But Pierce and Sean were right up there on BBF list. Too many good ones to decide.
And the winner is…. read the book and find out, you will not be disappointed!
Roulette War Intro by Jennifer Bene and Livia Grant
One of my favorite parts of this anthology is the detail put into setting up the story for the other novellas and authors. There is always so much detail that it gets me excited from the get-go.
Prelude by Renee Rose
This story started by the author introducing the main characters, Ravil and Lucy, who are Bratva and Lawyer. Already from just their job descriptions, it sets the stage for opposites attract. The scenes were on the softer side but still showed the importance of communication and trust. I LOVED how this ended and cannot wait for more from Ravil and Lucy.
Breathless By Eris Adderly
This story gave me the opportunity to read more about scenes that I am not as familiar with. Their scenes built on the exercises of trust which both of these characters needed. Violet was just what Anson needed. I was bummed that they only made it through two scenes because I really enjoyed their chemistry and interactions. I hope to see more of these two in the future.
Burn by Kay Elle Parker
This was my first time reading this author and it sure will not be my last because this was my favorite of the book. I am keeping my fingers crossed that this gets expanded into a full book. There is so much to be unpacked and expanded on here in regards to Ava and her backstory which is what makes me want so much more. I would love to see Finn help her heal. The scenes in their pairing were hotter than a Las Vegas sidewalk in August. HOT. HOT. HOT. One scene/kink, in particular, has not been done (that I can remember) and it definitely piqued my interest.
Inflamed by Golden Angel
I loved watching the back and forth between Elliot and Lisa. These two were both headstrong characters so it was nice to see the dynamics play out. They each gave as good as they got. I wanted more exploration of their history as to why there was such a pf Lisa trying to prove herself and Elliot learning he was wrong in certain aspects.
Wicked by Jennifer Bene
There is a reason that I fell in love with this series and that is because of this amazing author. She brought Pierce and Tori to life. I felt their emotions, especially Tory. I liked watching her come to terms with what she thought she wanted and what she ultimately, needed. Bravo.
Trained by Sue Lyndon
My favorite thing about this author is her ability to take “tame” sexual activities (if there really is such a thing in the BL world) and ramp them up. She always puts care and attention into creating characters such as Xavier and Rachel, that her audience can get invested in. I loved the chemistry between X and “Dolly”. He gave her exactly what she needed and then some.
Unexpected by Measha Stone
I enjoyed the fact that the author didn’t shy away from creating a character that was plus size. I also loved that the author pushed me from my comfort zone and made two kins that I am not as interested in compelling and enticing by creating a scene where I was involved (vicariously) in as Quinn and Jack.
Facade by Livia Grant
This story started with one of my favorite scenes of this anthology. It was different and Unique. It kept my interest the whole time. I liked that Sean was attentive to Stephanie’s vulnerability and saw that there was a lot under her sass. I liked the juxtaposition of “experience” versus “newness” in Stephanie and that Sean was intuitive enough to see past what others assumed about Stephanie and helped her to see that as well.
And the Winner is… By Jennifer Bene and Livia Grant
I loved getting to have a scene with Jaxson, Chase, and Emma. Their connection is always so hot and strong. I love the dynamic of Dom, Switch, and Sub showing again another facet of this lifestyle and doing it well. I won’t spoil the winner, as that is part of the fun of this anthology. I’m glad that I didn’t have to pick because both sides had some amazing scenes. However, if I HAD to choose, I would have gone the opposite way.
All that aside. This is, in my opinion, the best roulette of them all. I look forward to this book every year. It is my Valentine’s tradition now and gives me some happiness as I help work in a flower shop on this holiday and the weeks leading up to it suck the life out of me. This helps keep me regenerated. Kudos to the authors for another amazing year.
O.M.G. A Black Light Coast WAR!! A Roulette War?! Awesomsauce! Could these authors get anymore creative? I wish I could have been a fly on the wall at a planning meeting with these amazing authors. I bet it was totally naughty. There were so many interesting and titillating kinks in this book that don’t often get a lot of airtime…. WHEW
PRELUDE by RENEE ROSE – A Renee Rose Bratva Black Light Roulette story? H3LL to the YES! She knows how to do all things Bratva. Tatted, dominant, Ravil is PERFECT. He is a Bratva gentleman to Lucy. LOVED IT! And that ending!!! Seriously! I need MORE!
BREATHLESS by ERIS ADDERLY – Anson has more than a few quirks and lost his confidence to Dom anyone years ago. But his friend pushes him to do Roulette. It’s during Roulette we see that just because someone may seem “odd” and does not appear to be the typical ‘alpha’ male doesn’t mean they aren’t a fantastic dominant. Loved Anson. Loved Violet. They were so perfect for each other. Loved this very kinky and touching story.
BURN by KAY ELLE PARKER – Ava, she feels broken, but she’s brave enough to try her hand at Roulette. She’s paired with Master Finn and he sees through her pain. He helps make her strong. This story is HOT and emotional.
INFLAMED by GOLDEN ANGEL – This book had me right away because of the tension with a capital T between Lisa and Master Elliott. I love Lisa. Can’t a sub just explore and go for what she wants? How does asking for what she wants make her less of a sub? According to Master Elliott it does and Lisa is bound and determined to prove him wrong. I loved Elliott, but I was definitely Team Lisa! Their Roulette roles were on FIRE. YUMMY!!!
WICKED by JENNIFER BENE – Holy Hannah, Pierce is a total A-Hole and I LOVE HIM! Tori has him pegged – a predator and she’s the prey. Pierce thinks he has a hold of Tori, but she keeps surprising him. And the result? Typical Bene- AMAZINGLY ELECTRICALLY CHARGED and HOT!
TRAINED by SUE LYNDON – Daddy and Pet play combined??? Off the charts!!
UNEXPECTED by MEASHA STONE – Quinn is very, very tightly wound. Her nerves make her lash out. All she wants is some good impact play to settle her, but Jack shows her so MUCH MORE
FACADE by LIVIA GRANT – Oh My! Last, but certainly not least, we have porn star Karly who is so experienced in all things sex, but a total newbie to bdsm. All she wants is a little rough sex, but Sean is going to Rock. Her. World!
I can honestly say I loved every single one of these stories. Of course I know who I wanted to win (both East v West and the couples). This is a super-hot one-click.
This year, Black Light West and Black Light East are competing with one another as to who is the best.
Prelude by Renee Rose
This is the story of Ravil, a Bratva boss and Lucy, a defense lawyer who manages the account of a crime family in Chicago. They scene together, but it is mostly light stuff. This is a HFN as the author intimates that there will be more.
Breathless by Eris Adderly
Anson is a senior Revenue Agent for the IRS. He likes things controlled and safe. Violet is a young woman who doesn’t trust herself to choose a dom. She wants to be controlled. They roll latex and that is a hot scene. Then they roll breath play, which is his kink. There is a HFN.
Burn by Kay Elle Parker
Finn is a cattleman who is in DC for business, and pleasure. Ava is a young woman with too many voices in her head. She cuts herself to make them go away. They are paired this night at Black Light. They spin some extreme kinks and they have a HFN. I so want this story continued!
Inflamed by Golden Angel
Elliott is a good dom. He has been burned before in a relationship and he is wary of trying again. Lisa has a crush on Elliott, but he thinks that she is just playing at being submissive. When they are paired by the roulette wheel, they both are surprised. Great story!
Wicked by Jennifer Bene
Pierce has money and is an a**. Tori is a babygirl. What a match! Their first scene is humiliation and, for me, very uncomfortable. This was not one of my favorites.
Trained by Sue Lyndon
Xavier is a widower. Rachel has escaped from her father’s fundamental lifestyle. They get matched and spin pet play for their first activity. This is a very sweet story.
Unexpected by Measha Stone
Quinn and Jack are matched up and they spin diaper play. Quinn isn’t happy about it at first, but she gets into it. Another sweet story.
Facade by Livia Grant
This was a wow! story. Sean owns a winery and Stephanie, Karly, is a retired porn star. They spin pony play. Stephanie hasn’t really done BDSM before but Sean makes her love it.
And who has won this competition? Well, you’ll just have to read it to find out.
I received a free copy of this book via Black Collar Press and am voluntarily leaving a review. I enjoyed this book so much that I purchased it
BDSM on roids! Scene after scene. Every scene is hot. Pages and pages of chemistry, respect, safety and play. Hard, edgy, deep, wet, breathtaking scenes one after another. Elevated heart rate guaranteed. Your mind will be full of fantasy recall.
Master R and Lady Luck….a dream come true for a newbie. Mater R seems like he could be anyone’s dream Dom except for hers. This night is gojng to be the spark that sets this couple apart.
Eris Adderly- Breathless
Mister M and miss pain.
Breathless, convulsing, contracting and squirming for air.Control and desire to submit but these two literally have paralyzing fears. Broken by circumstance they’ve already learned life isn’t perfect just perfect moments. They come together and ignite. There is no cooldown. It’s green for this duo and it is red hot.
Burned- Kay Elle Parker
Master Finn and Ava these scenes are intense for her, he’s toned down his intensity for her but she is everything he wants in a permanent partner. Warm sensation, flash of heat spreads to a burn, pain healthy pain who knew there was a difference. It’s like coming home for her and an erotic dream for him.
Inflamed -Golden Angel
Master Elliot and Lisa
Oh, she is a brat pushing her luck. She was also warned but she has a bucket list. This sub is stubborn but her crush has no faith in her desire or dedication. She is out to prove him wrong. He wants to gag her even before the night begins. They are fire, put out by their stubbornness only to ignite again and sputter. Oh, they are flogging hot. You may want to get some ice cubes for this read.
West Coast
Wicked by Jennifer Bene
Pierce and Baby
He’s bitter, she’s sweet, he’s wicked, she’s a good girl. He wants to break her in 3 scenes in under 3 hours. She knows this is a once in a lifetime opportunity even though she considers “red” before she even spins. You feel the chill, the questions within herself, her shock, her want and ultimately her desire. You can feel his utter disgust, his shock and need to assess himself but not before he stripps her bare and makes her face her inner self then and only then he will deal with himself. These opposites are hot and cold and the steam they create is off the charts!
Unexpected by Measha Stone
Desperate for the release and relaxation that impact play gives her but she finds herself rolling diaper play…oh, hell no! Through Jack’s delivery the scene is hot. Jack’s little girl isn’t getting what she wants. Jack delivers delicious scenes they are hot, unexpected and leaves this girl in fantasyland.
Facade by Livia Grant
Long deep calming breaths is what I needed after reading Facade. Scenes so vivid you can definitely replay them later in private. I would take a shower to cool off but the shower followed by the pool scene. Ya, it would be pointless.
This book starts off intense, with east and west saying they’re the best. You can decide for yourself on that one.
*************************************************
Roulette East;
The first story by Renee Rose is epic. They are starting this off right. But, if you know of Black Light, they’re allll good. This one a lawyer and Bratva. Interesting combo, but the chemistry they have is legit. Things that did and may happen with this pairing. So good.
*************************************************
Eris Adderly’s book is a chance meeting and learning to take things as they are. Master M, is so in control. Rigidly almost. A man of logic, where on this night none is to be had. Miss Payne is learning to get over past beliefs. That there are good people out there. That have her best interests at heart. These two are so different but such a perfect pairing.
*************************************************
Kay Elle Parker, writes about a woman who is broken in a way and a man who can control who he is at any time. Neither need much from their lives. She needs pain, he needs submission. He has a rugged type of life and not many can deal with that. She’s had a harsh past and it’s hard for her to deal with let alone others. They find the missing piece in the other. It heals in ways. These stories are so, so good.
*************************************************
Golden Angel’s story is about first impressions not always being what you thought. These two have met before and their first meeting did NOT go very well. That leads her to being a bit bratty, and him not wanting to take a chance, as he’s had bad experiences in the past. Sometimes the roulette wheel knows best, and things work out as they should.
*************************************************
Roulette West;
Jennifer Bené is about expectations. Things you thought you knew and what actually is. Not always the same and these two prove that. So different but also suited. They each learn new things about themselves and the other. You have to watch your expectations in these ones.
*************************************************
Sue Lyndon’s story is about a broken man and a damaged woman finding something in each other that was previously missing. A cute little kitten and the perfect match for her.
*************************************************
Measha Stone’s is about two people that seem so wrong, but work in their own way. One not sure about what they got themselves into, the other knowing he can handle a brat. Even when you think you don’t want to do something, it may be just what you need.
*************************************************
Livia Grant’s is about someone who has a hard time submitting when she’s never done so before. Manipulating people is easy for her but when she gets paired with someone who doesn’t play her usual games, she has to reevaluate her mindset. He likes things harder. Being paired with her is a dream. Not just because of her old profession, but because he likes the challenge of it.
*************************************************
And the winner is…….
War has been declared!! Lol, bring it on I say!
The intro to this was perfect, got my emotions all hyped up and my mind ready to dive right in!! I adore all the Black Light books but the anthologies are fun, give me great emotions and always leave me wanting more!!
And we start with Black Light East!!
Prelude by Renee Rose starts us off with a bang, or maybe that’s tame considering Ravil is Bratva and all, lol. Lucy has no idea what hotness awaits her!! Need to know what happens next…..more is requested please!
Breathless by Eris Adderly was beyond hot, and not saying why but his black gloves……the images we see in this one…..pure heat! Anson is not your ordinary everyday Dom, I really loved learning his kinks, and so did Violet!
Burn by Kay Elle Parker may have my favorite Dom, I’d take a Master Finnegan any day! Ava really had luck on her side and their scenes…holy heck Batman…..I hope we get more from these two also. Did she make it? Is her past too much to overcome?? Need answers now…..be nagging for more.
Inflamed by Golden Angel had the best scene ever…..the images in my head probably didn’t do it justice but man….. Master Elliott is, well he’s just hot, just ask Lisa. Like her I’ve been wanting his story since Melody and Kwan’s story! Don’t blame her for chasing him, lol
And then comes Black Light West….you ready?
Wicked by Jennifer Bene was a little outside my comfort zone, not my favorite kink ya know? But man was I pulled into this one…..Pierce and Tori had one of the most compelling, emotional stories in this set! It definitely is one I’ll remember!
Trained by Sue Lyndon was almost cute in the beginning, lol. Daddy Xavier sure knew how to push Rachel, aka Dolly, into some very different scenes. She had no idea what was coming and neither do you….let’s just say he didn’t let her down! Was perfection!!
Unexpected by Measha Stone was just that, unexpected! Master Jack definitely had his work cut out for him with uptight, stressed out Quinn…..and their first spin was a doozy! No way I could see this being sexy but Measha Stone pulled it off and had me hooked til the end!
Facade by Livia Grant just goes to show, you can’t judge a book, or a Dom by his cover, lol. Karly is about to find out how little she really knows about BDSM and sex, thanks to Master Wilde, and whoa, hold your panties ladies, this one is definitely a panty dropper, lol
And then comes the ending to the war…….drum roll please……lol. Like I’d tell you the winner, seriously.! Not gonna happen, but the ending with Emma, Jax and Chase was perfection because they are Black Light to me! So grab yours and enjoy, highly recommend this one, something for everyone!
I thought that this was a wonderful addition to this annual book event. If you enjoy sizzling hot reads that can hold your attention, keep you entertained and nudge you out of your comfort zone I highly recommend this book and series.
Prelude by Renee Rose (4 Stars) Was a terrific opposites attract story. Ravil and Lucy made a very interesting pair with amazing chemistry. This story does tie into this author’s Vegas Underground series, so I do hope to see much more for this couple.
Breathless by Eris Adderly (5 Stars) This book was intensely hot and deeply emotional. Anson and Violet really captured my heart, while leaving me in dire need of an ice cold drink. If you like books with unique characters this book will hold extra appeal for you. This was a new to me author that I definitely want to read more from.
Burn by Kay Elle Parker (5 stars) I loved this book so much. Finn and Ava were beyond incredible and I fell so hard for them. I have only read one other book by this author (which I adored!) and I am thrilled that I found this book just as appealing. In my opinion this was by far the most emotion laden story of the bunch.
Inflamed by Golden Angel (5 Stars) There’s plenty of sparks and tension as the unwanted attraction and push/pull played out between Elliott and Lisa. I thought that this one was a bit cute and very fun.
Wicked by Jennifer Bene (4 Stars) I enjoyed this read. There is a lot of heat, emotion and tension in Tori and Pierce’s tale. Expect some boundary pushing in this story of self discovery.
Trained by Sue Lyndon (5 Stars) There is so much sweetness in this kinky story. If you love Daddy Doms this one is for you. My heart simply melted for Xavier and Dolly and the steam they generated raised the temperature.
Unexpected by Measha Stone (4 Stars) The sparks fly in this opposites attract story. I thought that Quinn and Jack made an interesting pair and I loved that this tale featured a plus size character. In my opinion, this is another boundary pusher. I liked it but for me this was only a good read.
Facade by Livia Grant ( 5 Stars) This was I felt the most intense story of the bunch. I found Sean and Stephanie’s story quite compelling and a bit gritty. This is also one that will push you out of your comfort zone but I thought it was 100% worth a few uncomfortable moments. I seriously enjoyed this story that relied heavily on the fact that things aren’t always as they seem or look.
All together, this is a stellar collection of reads that are sure to have you feeling the heat on a cold winters night!
Prelude by Renee Rose:
One of the best stories by Renee Rose I’ve ever read. Ravil and Lucy’s story had me from the very first and I wanted so much more. The intensity and the desire poured from each of them. I need the rest of their story!!!
Breathless by Eris Adderly:
While I’ve heard of Eris, I’ve not read any of her stories. This will be changing in the future. Anson and Violet’s story had me holding my breath at times. Very well written; you can feel the emotions pouring out of these two.
Burn by Kay Ellen Parker:
This, hands down, one of the best Black Light stories I’ve ever read. While it ended on a good note, I really do need more of Master Finn and Ave. So. Much. More!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Inflamed by Golden Angel:
I’ve enjoyed Golden’s previous stories but this one was intense. One sub determined to prove to the Dom she’s been crushing on that she is a real sub. The fire whip scene was something I had never read before. It was intense and had me holding my breath. The CNC scene kept me glued to the pages but the anal sex scene? WOW! If you’ve read Golden’s books, you know she loves her “butt stuff”, but this went all the way to the top and then just toppled over into a free fall!!!
Wicked by Jennifer Bene:
This story made me uncomfortable but at the same time, I couldn’t stop reading it. PIerce and Tori needed each other without them even realizing it. I really loved this story!!!!
Trained by Sue Lyndon:
I loved this story. It’s very sweet and Sue Lyndon should write more pet play stories!
Unexpected by Measha Stone:
I didn’t like Quinn at first but as her scene with Jack went on, she grew on me. And Jack knew just how to handle her. Would absolutely love to see more of these two in a future book.
Facade by Livia Grant:
Another WOW story from Ms. Grant. This one grabbed me from the very beginning. You know the story is good when you keep checking to make sure no one is around you to watch the expressions on your face as you read. The one part in the pony play scene just make me go..ouch!!! And the breath play scene, well that one terrified me but again, I couldn’t stop reading!
This is one of the best Roulette’s that has come out. Each and every story was a winner and the characters could easily have their own books written in the future by the authors. If you haven’t grabbed this collection yet, you should!!!! Just make sure you have plenty of time to read because once you start, you won’t want to stop!
Roulette stories never disappoint!
This year the war has been declared between East and West for a title of the best BDSM club.
The intro never fails to get me hooked and hyped up for what’s to come. With eight stories featuring different couples and kinks, there is no shortage of steamy hot BDSM scenes. Even if there are some that push your boundaries, with fantastic writing by these talented authors, you just can’t help but want more!
This time my favorite was Breathless by Eris Adderly. It packed some serious heat but it also gave me all the feels! I couldn’t help but fall in love with Anson and Violet. They were both complex characters that showed great growth and development in this short story. I just can’t give this story enough praise! I’ll definitely read more from this author.
Jennifer Bene definitely pushed my boundaries with her story Wicked, but at the same time I couldn’t turn pages fast enough! I really liked Tori. Miss Bene did a wonderful job with showing Tori’s emotional self-discovery and accepting what she really needs.
Overall, another great collection of kinky stories and I highly recommend it. I’m already waiting impatiently to read more from Black Light world.
I received an advanced copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving my honest review.
This is by far one of the best books in this series because you get the absolute delight of reading couples matched up during the roulette wars written by different authors. This collection is sensual and oh so sexy that you just want the couples to keep coming. Each author creates her couples so seamlessly that they all flow so well together. There is something for everyone no matter your kink. I loved it and didn’t want the war to end.
I read and reviewed a copy of this book.
4.5 Stars
Prelude by Renee Rose
What a great start to this book.
Lawyer and Russian mob spinning what you’d think are boring kinks but turn out to be haf. The rest of this story should be really interesting.
Breathless by Eris Adderly
While they both had hang-ups, luck was on their side. Lucky to have found each other to once experience their hot kinks.
Burn by Kay Elle Parker
A broken girl and and strong dominant. They explore some of the most daring kinks while finding each other. Super Hot!
Inflamed by Golden Angel
Super hot. I like the Lisa’s sassiness and the playfulness within the scenes. Not only were the scenes different but they were super hot too.
Wicked but Jennifer Bene
I love the unexpected turn of events. I much prefer the scene that played out verses the one that could have. It’s always enjoyable when 2 people find their perfect match.
Trained by Sue Lyndon
Purrfect! Although I don’t usually think pet scenes are hot, these ones were very hot and sensual. The author incorporated enough petting, licking into the scene to make it pleasant and even something a pet virgin would want to do.
Unexpected by Measha Stone
A dominant makes a submissive experience new kinks regardless of how uncomfortable she was.
Facade by Livia Grant
Who would have thought she still could experience something new. Taboo but freakin hot.
Now who’s going to win the friendly competition? I know which one I would vote for. I can’t wait to find out.
I love this novella length collection!! You don’t have to have read any of the previous books in the series. Multiple stories by multiple authors all taking place at an event on Valentines night at two different BDSM clubs. Great couples come out of this Black Light Roulette each spinning three different activities!
Prelude – Renee Rose – Ravil (Master R) is an experienced Dom and powerful Bravta. Lucy (Lady Luck) is a newbie getting over a breakup. Their scenes are HOT! I really hope they get their own book because I want more of their story!
Breathless – Eris Adderly – Anson (Mister M) has severe anxiety and prefers to watch after the last time he played ended badly 6 years ago. Violet (Miss Payne) is nervous having had a bad experience with her last boyfriend. Their pairing seems very lucky with their intense scenes and understanding of one another.
Burn – Kay Elle Parker – Ava is a cutter and needs the high of pain like a drug. Finn (Master Finnegan) is the perfect dominant for Ava’s first time playing. He gives her a night she’ll never forget and offers her a lifetime of the same!
Inflamed – Golden Angel – Master Elliott has seen Lisa around the club. He doesn’t think she is a real sub, but he’s glad they’re paid up for the night. Their scenes allow her to fully submit to his sadist needs. Lisa is just what Elliott needs in a sub and a relationship.
Wicked – Jennifer Bene – Pierce is looking for someone to take apart for one night and one night only. Tori (Baby) is a little only playing with Daddy’s. Pierce is able to bring out Tori’s true desires, and he is stunned by her honesty.
Trained – Sue Lyndon – Xavier (Daddy) a widower of three years still hasn’t moved on. Rachel (Dolly) has never played with a daddy dom before. Their scenes showed a lot of comfort and care that has them moving forward with one another after the night has ended.
Unexpected – Measha Stone – Quinn is new to town and uses impact play as a stress reliever. Jack (Tanner47) is happy to introduce her to unexpected ways to play and relax.
Façade – Livia Grant –Stephanie (Karly Starr) an adult film star though she had done it all sexually. She belonged to Black Light because she liked edgier sex, but she had no interest in BDSM or submitting. Sean (Master Wilde) likes the challenge of introducing her to something new and sends her into her first ever subspace.
This 4th Roulette, was war and by war its kinky, hot, awe inspiring, and so freaking good. Blacklight is built on people and their relationships.
The authors know how to write a tale, but what they know most is how to make you want more. Each couple has a past, present and hopefully a future. Best Roulette ever, and it can only get better from here.
I’ve read every Blacklight Roulette book that’s been published thus far, and I have to say that this was my favorite. This is a war between the East and West clubs. The book has an introduction on how the war got started and it concludes with the winners. There are eight novellas in between and I want to mention them all because they were all excellently written.

I can’t say that I liked one story over the other. They are all terrific reads. It felt like I was at the clubs, witnessing these scenes as they unfolded. Each story was unique and interesting, and I have to say that I learned a great deal about this novel and fun world created by so many talented authors.
I loved the book, every page. Highly recommended.
