4 stars to Possession by L.K. Shaw !!!!!!
Okay I have been waiting to read this book since I first seen the bite for it on Book Main bites . I read that first bite and I had to read it . I love when a book grabs my attention and keeps it like that .
Madeline had been getting letters from a secret admirer for about 6 months and at first she did not think much of it . Then the letters got a dark tone to them . Since had just ended a relationship with her Dom she decides it is time for a change .She moves to D.C. thinking this will stop the letters. She goes to Black Light a BDSM club with her friends where she meets Joseph and Nathaniel . Two amazing Doms who give her the night of her life . They want more from her even though these two just got out of bad experience. That is until another letter comes . This one sounds even darker so she contacts the police . In comes the FBI and the two Doms who gave her a night to remember . Little does Madeline know she is the next target of the serial killer known as Casanova .
This story is filled with so much for being a shorter story . You get all the feels from the characters, you get suspense , darkness , and love . I loved this book . My only complaint is I wanted more at the end . I need more of an epilogue or something . It felt unfinished to me . Other than that is was great .
“I trust you, Master. With my life. With my heart. With my submission.”
Dr. Madeline Parrish is being stalked by someone leaving her anonymous love letters. What started out as harmless prose turns into threats of violence, and Madeline is offered an opportunity to move to Washington, D.C. to escape not only the stalker, but also to have a fresh start. Looking for something more in her life, Madeline joins friends at an exclusive BDSM club known as Black Light. There she meets Joseph and Nathaniel, two Doms who instantly see in Madeline the submissive they have long sought.
FBI agents and partners Joseph Crocker and Nathaniel Morgan can’t believe they have finally found the perfect Sub to love and protect. It’s as if Fate has taken a hand to steer Madeline in their lives…or maybe put them in hers. As it turns out, the serial killer “Casanova” they have been tracking is the very one that has been sending Madeline the love letters. Now they have even more at stake in finding and bringing the killer to justice before their beloved Madeline is Casanova’s next victim.
L.K. Shaw has written a deadly intense romantic suspense of cat and mouse between Madeline and a killer of women that I can’t recommend enough! Black Light: Possession is a verra smexxy thriller guaranteed to make your heart race! Loved it!
I love the Black Light series and this story makes a great addition. I love the twist and did not see it coming. I love when an author surprises me.
OMG. This book was a great addition to the black light books. Damon this author has a great way with words. First read for me by this author and I would read more by her.As usual this is a standalone with a HEA. But this world black light all the books well worth the read
This story has everything from suspense, drama, to amazing steamy scenes.
You will fall in love with the characters.
You get to know each of them on a whole new level.
The Doms and Subs are spot on in this as well.
Madeline most definitely hit the jackpot when she entered Club Black Light.
Megan, Nathaniel, and Joseph meet at Black Light. Somehow, together, they find a way to nurture a relationship, overcome a frightening monstrosity. And find their way back together.
Possession is #11 in the Black Light Series. How did I miss this series? I haven’t read any of the books in this series but, this book can be read as a standalone.
This is Nathaniel Morgan, Joseph Crocker (both are FBI agents) and Dr. Madeline Parrish is a psychologist.
Not only do we get a BDSM story we have a Romantic Suspense genre too! Makes for a great story! Someone (Casanova) is after Madeline. Nat & Joseph are after Casanova.
Nat & Joseph meet Madeline at the Blacklight – a BDSM club. You guessed it. Madeline is a submissive and Nat & Joseph are Doms and they like sharing their women and have been hunting for a woman to have a relationship with not just a meet & greet kind of relationship but a long term one.
I really enjoyed reading Possession and I look forward to reading more from L.K. Shaw. Although, this series and each book in the series is written by a different author. I will search out more books from L.K. Shaw. 4.5 stars for Possession.
This latest addition is loosely based in the Blacklight setting.
The h, recent DC resident, meets two Doms on her first visit to the club. From there the story concentrates on the three main characters and their interwoven private and professional lives.
While their private interactions are developing hot, heavy and very satisfying, a life threatening situation arises that could put an end to their threesome. If not the h’s life.
Another great addition to the Blacklight series.
LK Shaw has beautifully blended menage and bdsm to create this masterpiece
Knowing you’ve met the missing piece of your life’s puzzle doesn’t happen to everyone. Yet when Madeleine walked into Black Light both Joseph and Nathaniel were stunned. The same could be said for Madeleine when she is approached by not one but two gorgeous Doms. They praised, they played and they punished her. She’s never felt so cherished. Now if the rest of her life was equally as satisfying. It takes no time at all for her two FBI agent Doms to deduce that she’s the object of another person’s obsession and keeping ger from harm is their number one priority.
I’ve read and loved every Black Light book published. I’ve also read many of this author’s other books which have been outstanding. Which is why I’m so very disappointed by this book. The entire concept on which this story is based is completely unbelievable. I’m very well aware of the concept of suspension of disbelief. But there’s no way this story works as written. FBI agents not just romantically involved with the victim of the crime they’re investigating but actually living together immediately after a one chance meeting and encounter at a BDSM club? No matter how much I tried to overlook all of this and tell myself it’s just fiction, I can’t. No law enforcement officer at any level would be allowed to work a case where they have a personal interest in the outcome. At the least, the law enforcement agents would be removed from the case. Yet not only do the law enforcement officers remain on the case, the foundation of the whole story is predicated on that completely unbelievable situation. I was also bothered by the “insta-love” and trust to form the BDSM relationship after one encounter. The characters could also have been better developed. Suspension of disbelief is one thing. But it’s the complete unbelievability of the facts upon which the plot is based that ruined this story for me.
A hot, steamy BDSM romantic suspense
I thoroughly enjoyed this story of Madeline, Nathaniel and Joseph. The writing was very smooth, the story was easy to read and the dialogue felt very natural. All three characters were both likeable and believable, adding to the appeal of the story. The BDSM scenes were really well written and also incredibly hot, there was enough to make this feel like a kink themed story without being overwhelming to the main plot. Madeline and her two men certainly shared some wonderful chemistry.
Whilst I liked both the plot and the pace of the book, I perhaps would have liked a little more depth, or struggle to get to the HEA. There’s nothing specific to put my finger on, though on reflection I think it’s that this had all the elements of a fantastic read, but just didn’t quite hit it on the execution. Some if this is that with 3 points of view, and two heroes, it quite simply needed to be a longer read. The men, particularly Joseph, felt a little flat at times. Whilst I liked them, I didn’t feel as though we really got to know them. Despite that I still found this to be a really entertaining book that I’m happy to recommend and I would most definitely read more by the author.
This is one of my favorite fictional clubs; full of masterful men and the women who complete them. This one is about Joseph, Nathaniel, and Madeline. The setting is the original Black Light, in D.C., and it was nice to get glimpses of some of the characters. One of my favorite things about the story is how real the characters are. None of their actions or dialogue feel fake or forced. Another thing I enjoyed was the differences in Joseph and Nathaniel because each of them fed a part of Madeline. The suspense and pace of this one is fast, but it isn’t short of detail or emotions, and the sexy scenes are burning hot. If you haven’t read any of the other books in this series, you won’t have any difficulty enjoying this one. There are a few references to previous books, but it won’t ruin your enjoyment in the least, and I highly recommend it.
I absolutely loved this book with its mix of hot steam and suspense. This is not what I was expecting when I started to read this but this book did not disappoint in the least. The characters were great and super easy to fall for
I love visiting Black Light and this latest addition in the series was amazing! Nat, Joseph and Madeline have a connection and instant chemistry from the moment they meet at the club. This was hot from the get go and had a little suspenseful plot surrounding the characters as well. Fingers crossed L.K. Shaw comes back for the next season of Black Light!
Will Madeline let Nathaniel and Joseph to have power over her?
This is my first book by the author though have read many books in the Black Light series. This one did not disappoint. Madeline relocates to the DC area at a friend’s suggestion leaving her ex-boyfriend and fed up with her mysterious letter writer. Her friend invites her to Black Light where she meets Joseph and Nathaniel who she scenes with. When Madeline receives another darker letter, she brings it to the police where she later meets up with Joseph and Nathaniel again, both FBI agents working on the Casanova case. With time not on their side, the doms try to keep Madeline safe. But will Casanova claim another victim? You have to read to find out and will love the tension between the trio.
OMG WTF DID I JUST READ!!!!!!!!!!! I think I have been living under a rock because I have never heard of the Black Light Series until a few months ago when I did the cover reveal for Possession. Then I saw that there was going to be a release blitz for it and I had to sign up. The synopsis had me and the cover was the icing on the cake. I absolutely love the cover!
Madeline is a Doctor who has a secret admirer who is stalking her through letters. She needs a change in scenery and decides to move to Washington to get away from everything. When she gets there her friend invites her to an exclusive club called the Black Light. It is there that Madeline meets not one but two alpha Doms and has a phenomenal time with Joseph and Nathaniel.
After that amazing night Madeline starts to get the love letters but they are worse now. They are becoming more and more threatening. The police are called in and they find that the letters look like the work of the serial killer Casanova. So the police call in the FBI and they send two of their best agents Joseph and Nathaniel thee Joseph and Nathaniel that spent that phenomenal night with Madeline. They both want Madeline and talk her into becoming their submissive and they both are determined to protect her. They will do anything to keep her safe.
As the stalker gets closer he gets more brazen in his acts and he is determined to Madeline his. Can Joseph and Nathaniel save and protect her? Or will the stalker get her and make her his next pet?
I will admit that I thoroughly enjoyed reading this excellent, suspenseful romance. The plot is well-thought out and fascinating with intriguing events. The characters are well-developed with unique individual personalities & they are quite realistic with their emotional feelings & expectations.
There is: a female psychologist (Dr. Madeline Parrish), two very unusual men (Nathaniel Morgan & Joseph Crocker), law enforcement, drama, intrigue, suspense, twists & turns, danger, threats, evil, emotional turmoil, friendship, verbal banter, frustration, fate, attractions, domination/ submission, BDSM, trust, crime scenes, unease, relationships, memories, opinions, an unpleasant surprise, fear, terror, anger, verbal conflict, disdain, safety, gratitude, happiness, love & steamy scenes.
I would recommend this book written by a talented author to people who enjoy reading this genre. I doubt that you would be disappointed in this book.
This book checked so many boxes for me. Romantic Suspense. Check. BDSM. Check. Menage. Check. This my first book by LK Shaw and it was an amazing book to start with. After moving to Washington D.C. To escape an obsessive admirer, Dr. Madeline Parrish is introduced to Blacklight, a BDSM club, by a friend. When it comes to Joseph and Nathaniel they share everything including women. When Madeline catches their her there’s no going back. Wher admirer changes tactics, will they be able to keep her safe? I loved reading this book. I don’t know why I haven’t read this author sooner but I’m glad I have now. I highly recommend this to to everyone.
Oh, dear heavens! I am speechless. I’ve been to Black Light before, so I thought I had an understanding of what I was in for. The romantic suspense elements that thread through this story take it to a whole other level. Madeline and Joseph are important to this book, but they didn’t catch my attention the way Nathaniel does. This beautiful, broken man makes me want to hug him tight and fix everything that’s broken for him. Isn’t that always what gets us women in trouble? And do I perhaps detect the set up for the lead in a sequel to this? I hope so, because this was a fantastic entry to the Black Light universe and I’m dying to read more.
I received a complimentary advanced copy of this book.
