Golden Angel may not have written a Black Light book before, but she definitely knows what she is doing. Defended fits in perfectly in the series. Kawan makes me want a Daddy just like him. This book will warm your heart make you want a relationship like Kawan and Melody. It may also make you want to strangle Peggy. After reading Defended you’ll want to read more books in the Black Light series and more by Golden Angel.
Daddy Dom/little is not my favorite genre. This book was surprisingly enjoyable. I started reading this nook , not planning to finish it, but unable to put it down until I read the last page.
I liked Kawan and Melody. The different aspects of Melody’s personality were so interesting. Being strong at work, yet wanting to please Peggy, and still finding that special something with Kawan that met her needs.
Kawan was kind, generous, sexy, and loving. I was so glad that Kawan’s past did not overwhelm him to the point it interfered with his future.
Melody was endearing, open, vulnerable, and sweet. Even I wanted to protect her from her potential threats. I liked the way Kawan took it slowly with Melody and they both had their friends for support.
I don’t know the writer’s intention when this book was written, but I felt like all the points were hit. If we were supposed to dislike Peggy, check another box. I don’t know that Peggy was really that narrowed it offended, or if she was mad because she couldn’t be in control and Melody found something she didn’t have.
A sexy, sweet, Daddy Dom romance with an HEA. I voluntarily read and reviewed the Advanced Reader Copy of this book.
