This was one of those books I had trouble putting down even to go to bed. I wanted to read one more chapter. It was one of those books that stay with you long after you have read it. I enjoyed the book, but I didn’t enjoy the way it left me hanging at the end. I’ll have to read the next book to find out what happens with each of the characters. And I probably won’t do that because I prefer trilogies that feature stand alone books with each book a story within itself.
Didn’t care fir this storyline
What an EXCELLENT story. Black Keys is the first book in the Colorblind Trilogy. It is my first Rose B. Mashal story and I will admit I am now hooked on this author. This story was intense and emotional. It will have you at the edge of your seat from start to finish with all the twists and turns. I could not put it down. This is a story about overcoming prejudice and hatred and replacing it with love.
The story was well-written and layered with flawed characters who you will just love.
I absolutely loved the slow burn aspect of this novel. It was intense yet very believable.
This page-turner was a phenomenal read, worthy of more than five stars and I would highly recommend it to everyone. I can’t wait for part two in this trilogy.
Felt like it was teaching me their religion instead of a Roma e book .
I really liked this first book of a trilogy. It is not a read alone. Marie is tricked into a marriage to an Arab king by her brother. She is very wealthy but sadly alone in life. She resists Mazen, the king, even though he is amazingly patient with her immaturity. The book held my interest enough to read book two.
This book got to me I had to buy the 2nd and 3rd one to see how their love story ended .
Terrible book. Vapid heroine and blatantly racist slant to the book. Don’t waste your time reading this book.
She and her brother were very close. She thought she knew him very well. She didn’t know the man he had turned into. The betrayal was crushing. Read to find out why. it’s great.
This book has a unique topic or at least in m y experience, a different viewpoint. The characters are, for the most part, likable, except the ones who aren’t supposed to be likable! I enjoy a book that makes me think and this book did that. Yes, it is a romance, but the religious aspect and 9/11 had such a large presence. I’d highly recommend this book!
Not a big fan of the theological aspect. Found it to be scewed
Couldn’t put it down. Rear it in one night.
Rose B. Mashal is a great writer. I just finished the Colorblind trilogy and is one of the best trilogy I have read in years.
An ok book, it pushes a hard agenda of religious equality in my opinion which sort of detracts from the story I.e. romance novel but to each there own. Wouldn’t recommend for that reason.
What a page turner!!! I would like to read more by this author.
If you want a book that is different and makes you want to keep turning the pages Black Keys (The Colorblind Trilogy) Part One is a book you want to read. I have purchased Part 2 in the series and I am in the process of reading it.
Loved this book! So disappointed that the next two books cannot be obtained through bookbub!
Excellent book in a part series
Just started reading this book. Many different emotions. Very fascinating. So far can’t put the book down.
Great story.
The book for me wbas slow but then in the middle it turned to interesting I recommend it it had a message in it about judging a person before know them.
