I know I’m never going to change.I was born in the darkness, and that’s exactly where I’ll remain.Rome is sweet, gentle, and vanilla. But I’ll change all of that.I’ll show her who I really am.And slip that black diamond onto her finger.
Book two is defiantly not a stand alone book but only part of a story. That being said $6.99 is too much for part of a story. But I will splurge to read the rest of the story.
I do like the storyline and the characters. I enjoy the angst and passion even if there is a hint of FSOG.

Black Diamond
By: Victoria Quinn
Narrated by: Michael Ferraiuolo, Lia Langola
Series: Obsidian, Book 2
Book 2 of this series picks up right where we left off with Rome and Cal. This couple is intriguing to say the least. Secrets will surface and life as they know it is about to change. I am really enjoying the development of the story as we see the many relationships of the characters. The brothers, Jackson and Cal are at odds, Chris and Rome are adjusting to living together, we get a good look at Cal’s mom and Ruin will change all of them. The stalker addition just is the icing on the cake, giving us good suspense and has the protective mode of Chris and Cal out in full force. I can’t wait to start book 3 to see what will happen next! Will Cal be able to live a vanilla lifestyle to stay with Rome? Will the stalker strike again? Will Jackson succeed in his new venture? So many unanswered questions!
Lia Langola and Michael Ferraiuolo continue to bring all these characters to life with their incredible narration. It’s vibrant, and full of pushes and pulls. This team is great together!
This series just keeps heating up! Book two didn’t disappoint in the slightest – the entire book keep you on edge and just made you anxious for more and crushed when the page appeared. We rejoin Cal and Rome and while our couple are still going strong secrets are still being kept on both sides that can destroy the foundation of trust and feelings that have grown between the pair. It hasn’t been easy for Rome to give up control and she doesn’t always do as she is told leading to many a confrontations between her and Cal, but she is realizing that her heart is with Cal and that he is worth the risk. But can she tell him all the tragic stories of her past and make herself truly vulnerable? Cal is hiding his true nature from Rome terrified that she will run if he springs it on her too soon. He is slowly conditioning her to accept it, but with feeling growing and more time passing his Windows of opportunities are quickly closing. When their respective secrets come to light can their fragile relationship hope to survive?

Fantastic continuation to Black Obsidian. I stayed up all night just to finish reading this book it’s that good. The chemistry between Rome and Calloway makes the pages fly and I was so disappointed when I came to the end of the book. I love seeing the struggle they both had to endure but they failed to realize that they are actually changing each other and making a future already. Also seeing them grow as a couple was amazing. I can’t wait to see what’s else is in store for this series. I voluntarily read and review this ARC I haven’t been compensated in any way.
