Vincent Maddox is the bane of my existence. The cocky jerk with the God complex has made it his mission to make my life miserable since the day I moved to Chicago. New job. New town. New start. That is until my long-distance boyfriend decided to break up with me…via text.Heart break can make you do stupid things. In my case, it made me drink way too much whiskey and hook up with my a-hole arch … whiskey and hook up with my a-hole arch nemesis.
Vince Maddox is the bane of my existence…or is he?
*Bittersweet Love can be read as a standalone as a part of the Bittersweet universe AND a part of the Written in The Stars series!

Tyler! What have you done to me? I swooned so bad and completely fell in love with Lauren and Vince.
Lauren and Vince are office enemies always sparring with each other. When Vince walks into a bar and finds Lauren upset he can’t keep away from her, needing to know more. She explains she’s just been dumped and Vince tries to use his love/hate charm on her and the verbal back and forth between them sizzles until Vince approaches her with an offer she’s can’t refuse!
The journey these pair go on is nothing less than fun, sexy and sensual. It’s low on the angst and has a good pace of story. Lauren is straight-up honest and I loved her sass. Vince though is all kinds of swoon-worthy, sex on legs and I just die with his dirty words and love for Lauren.
This is a novella and I haven’t read the Bittersweet Duet where Lauren comes from and I never felt like I missed out on anything, but I sure will be going back to check it out! My only wish is that I wished we had more, they were perfect and I’m just being greedy!
ARC received for an honest review – thank you

If you’ve read Bittersweet Surrender and Bittersweet Addiction, then you’ve already had an intro to Lauren Michaels. I have been anticipating her story ever since I first read Bittersweet Surrender and QB Tyler blew all of my expectations away.
Lauren and Vince ticked all my boxes for an enemies to lovers story and then some.
I absolutely loved Vince and the banter they had with each other. And the times they got hot and steamy lit my kindle on fire.
I cannot wait for what comes next for QB Tyler.
HOLY HOTT HELL PEOPLE! Talk about a panty flinger y’all!! I’m talking one smoldering look from Vince and panties just drop. I was so excited to find out we were getting a novella about Lauren Michaels, Charley’s sweet and sassy BFF from the Bittersweet Duet. BTW if you haven’t read the Bittersweet Duet now is the perfect time. Any whoo!
This little novella y’all!!
I mean Damn!! Talk about packing a punch. It was so freakin phenomenal and I’m legit in AWE that she did all that in such a short little novella. Y’all!!. I mean, It’s insanity, it’s that Amazingly Awesome!. The chemistry and bantering back and forth between Lauren and Vince was ultimate foreplay goals. This was toeing the line of I hate you, I love you perfection, If they weren’t fighting they were … well you know.
Lauren’s character is sassy and beyond gorgeous. She’s used to combat(think sexy killer heels instead of boots though) when it comes to Vince. They can’t get along for anything. When she’s dealt a blow from her long distance boyfriend that she didn’t see coming, she sees a different side to Vince when he steps in at the right place, right time. Or is it right? But can this be more than just a rebound hookup or did their stars align because Vince was meant to put the pieces of her heart back together all along?
“ It’s a shame God made Satan so perfect.”
-Vincent Maddox
Vince is EVERYTHING I want in my Alpha-hole, bad boy, book boyfriends! He’s fine, sarcastic, unapologetically honest( even when brutally so), you can look into his eyes and you can almost swear you see the sweeter, more caring and gentle side in there.
Of course it’s hidden below the layers of rude, ego, hot, sexy, rugged, stubborn man. What happens when Lauren finds out how many licks it takes to get to the ooey gooey sweet parts of Vincent’s heart? Will he ensure her future love line includes him?
“Vincent Maddox is my arch nemesis. The bane of my existence.” -Lauren Michaels
I’m telling you friends do not miss this one. I literally devoured this in like two and half hours. I was in it from the first page and I wasn’t letting go until the end. This is part of the Written in the Stars Series, a collection of sexy stand-alone novellas based on Zodiac signs and they are fabulous.
My Cr8zysockbookblock blog wrap up for this book!
-INFINITE STARS If you are a fan of enemies to lovers, super sexy office romances then this is the perfect novella for you. With sarcastic and sassy characters, quick witted banter, and sinfully sexy scenes for DAYS!! It will leave you super satisfied yet wishful for more of the deliciousness that was this quickly read treat. QB Tyler’s brilliance shines with her attention to every heartfelt emotion and detail. She will have you lol’ing with her hilarious one-liners, and sarcastic jabs. She continues to blow me away with every book she writes, her work is flawless, effortless and magical and I want more the second I finish.
– Okay, so think of the hottest sexiest “sex” songs ever, and how hot theymake you feel! Yaasss! These scenes ARE HOTTER! Like Seventh Circle of Hades kinda hot, friends.
Cliffhanger Warning- This ending was LIFE y’all!
Prepare for lots of fun and flames! Debra @ Janise’s Jivin’ Book Blog
Where does one start with this review of such a great read. It was one of my favorite enemies to lovers tales! It had heat, funny moments, go get them moments and girl power!
The sizzle with our couple is fan worthy! They work together and then it just goes from there. We have family drama and a wedding. Close friends and allies help in our leading couples path to finding what could be a love that is out of this world.
It was a nice quick read that left me with a great feeling for anything is possible.
Hate to Lovers Book
So this book starts out with Lauren Michaels having her heart broken when her boyfriens breaks up with her via text message. She relocated from Atlanta to Chicago for a job. Her coworker Vince Maddox is a great A Ahole from the start. He shows up at the bar Lauren is after work drowning her sorrows. Against better judgement she sleeps with Vince but says its a one time deal.
What happens when once isn’t enough? Will the psychic that they had to work together for a piece be right all along?
“Conflict turned passion.”
Explosive. Hot. Toe-Curling.
QB Tyler never has a dull moment in her stories. They captivate you from the first page.
I LOVED Vincent and Lauren’s story! Their chemistry was insanely hot and took off from the first page.
Their banter was HILARIOUS. I seriously LOVE Vincent. He has no filter. None.
And Lauren is just as bad. She doesn’t take crap from A N Y B O D Y.
“I sold my soul to the devil for a few good orgasms.”
I will never NOT read a book when I see QB Tyler’s name on it. Her writing is undeniable., her books are unputdownable, and her characters are unforgettable.
Bittersweet Love is a quick, steamy MUST READ RIGHT NOW, WHAT ARE YOU DOING, BOOKMARK YOUR CURRENT READ AND START THIS RIGHT FREAKING MEOW, kind of book.
I promise there will never be a dull moment.
“I have a conference call in twenty minutes, can I eat your ***** before then or what?”
I fell in love with this. The story flows so well and hooks you in from the very beginning. Its funny, sweet, extremely sexy, and just downright perfect. It’s my first story by this author but it won’t be my last. I love the banter and back and forth between Vincent and Lauren and the psychic seemed to add that extra element to their relationship, even if they didn’t want to admit it.
I love, love, loved this book! Pretty much any book by QB Tyler is amazing! I loved Scarlett’s character, she was a perfect side character. I highly recommend reading this, you will love Vince and Lauren!
Q.B. Tyler is a new to me author and now I’m wondering why its taken me so long to read one of her books! Bittersweet Love sucked me in from the very start and I devoured this story.
I LOVED Lauren and Vincent. These two had banter for days. They could both give as good as they could get and that is what made me love them so much. There was so much chemistry just waiting to explode and when they finally give into it. Phew, it was amazing!
Bittersweet Love is hands down on the best enemies to lovers romances I have read in a while and I can’t wait to go back and read more from Q.B. Tyler after this little taste!
A MUST READ if you love a great enemies to lovers romance full of insanely hot chemistry and amazing banter.
There is nothing like a hate/love journey that puts sparks in a story. Bittersweet Love had all kinds of spark and I loved it. This is a short(ish)/novella story that had just the right amount of sexy and fun in the mix. I enjoyed it so much, I didn’t really want it to end. I like this author’s style and voice and look forward to reading more books by her.
Short, H-O-T read that will put your Kindle on Fire! This ‘Frenemies to Lovers’ book was so good with all the banter, possessiveness and chemistry that Vince and Lauren have throughout this book. Q.B. Tyler always brings all the feels with every story. She never disappoints. I’m excited every time she releases a new book. I Loved It! 5 Lust-Induced Stars!!
Like every other QB Tyler book Bittersweet Love is everything!! My love for Lauren and Vince’s story was through the roof, I didn’t want to leave their world. They are the perfect enemies to lovers story!
Lauren, being recently dumped, didn’t expect to feel attracted to anyone any time soon, especially her arch nemesis. But fate had other plans in mind and, my god, fate knew what she was doing! These two have such sexual chemistry that I’m surprised that my kindle is still functioning after containing that much heat.
I cannot reccomend this book enough!! Although this book is part of Tyler’s Bittersweet world, it can be read as a standalone.
This was a cute enemy to lovers story. The banter between Lauren and Vince is giggle worthy. As much as they drive each other crazy the attraction is off the charts and the sex sizzles. An entertaining, enjoyable read.
‘The cocky asshole with a God complex has made me fall for him. That despite our arguments and back and forth and battles of wits, he’s found his way into my mind and my heart.” ~ Lauren
I absolutely loved this novella! Enemies to Lovers is a favorite trope of mine, and this one was done perfectly. The chemistry between Lo and Vince is off the charts and completely believable. The only downside for me was that it was too short, but I suppose that is the point of novellas. I would have loved to see more of Scarlett Stone, and what happened during the jumped time towards the end (ie the 3 weeks before the wedding and the years in the epilogue.) Besides those minor things, this was an amazing read.
*I have not previously read the Bittersweet duet, nor book 1 in the Written in the Stars series. Neither is necessary to enjoy this book, however I will be going back to read them as I enjoyed this one.
Bestill by heart, Mandy @janise’s Jivin’ Book Blog
Bittersweet love is a story that has you on the edge, waiting and wondering what comes next.
I loved the flow of the storyline, they say loves is blind but fate always has the last say in the matters of the heart.
QB Tyler did a phenomenal job with bittersweet love. I can’t wait for the next installment in this series
This is the first time reading something by this author but I have to say, I was very entertained. I definitely liked the chemistry between this characters and how strong willed they are. Loved how Vincent’s go to was “we’ll see”. Loved how annoyingly determined he was to get his way and how he secretly did nice things. Also how he payed attention without breaking his cocky attitude.
But also, what a great match! Lauren is spicy. A take no prisoners kind of woman. Having both of them in near vicinity is like lighting a match. HOOOOOOOTTTTTT!!!!! And Vincent has has this delicious filthy mouth that makes you savor every scene. This novella is a taste that opens up your appetite.
Oh My Goodness What a Fantastic Enemies to Lovers quickie..I absolutely Loved it.
Why have I never read a book by Q.B Tyler before is beyond me..and I am so so glad I finally got the opportunity to experience her Amazing writing.
With Minimum Angst this was such a Fun,enjoyable and incredibly sexy story,Vince and Lauren were on fire with their chemistry and Hate/Love relationship.
Their back and Forth banter and teasing was hilarious and I loved it making me blush at times too,Vince has such a dirty mouth.
It was great reading how their relationship changed so much in such a short period of time, because deep down they were attracted to eachother from the first time they met…but things didn’t go to plan and they ended up covering up their attraction with Hate.
Bittersweet Love was such a pleasure to read,I had a smile on my face throughout the story and I adored the Ending.
5 brilliant stars for a very sweet , delightful and Sexy Hot book.I highly recommend it.- By Cat W.
Seriously, this is NOT your mothers Romance Novel. If you like sweet romance, move on…. this book is hot, full of steamy sex scenes, angst, frenemies with benefits, and lovers to HEA.
This was a new to me author, and I am so glad to have the opportunity to read this ARC – Lauren Michaels is a smart, strong, witty, and beautiful writer who has bumped heads with peer Vincent Maddox from day one at her new job in Chicago. After her boyfriend dumps her via text, Lauren embarks on a quest to get drunk and get over it. Vince stumbles across drunk Lauren and fireworks start with their agreed upon one-night of hot sex.
Vince and Lauren embark on a sex only relationship, which slowly develops into much more, especially as their boss forces them to work together on an article about a psychic.
The relationship develops, is challenged by Lauren’s ex, and stands up to many trials, but in the end…. Lauren and Vincent get their HEA….. and I love the peek into the future, twice…… 🙂
Bittersweet Love was my first book by QB Tyler but certainly not my last! I loved it! Angsty and sexy, Vince and Lauren were off the charts! It was steamy, it was entertaining. A great read.
