Good read
I liked the characters and was interested in their stories. I couldnt wait to read the next book to find out what happened. I recommend it.
Had never heard of the author but enjoyed the book. It’s the first in a series with these characters so lot of work to do in developing them but I think it is worth the time and will try next in the series.
Interesting storyline and great small town people.
I thought the first few chapters I read where too soap opera sounding.
This was a good book but not too deep for those who like to touch on the investigative process of a crime. Although easy to read, the author could have expanded more on some of the characters to draw the reader in to a deeper plot. Instead, the reader is told of the suspicions so little is left for the reader to imagine. I’d read another of this author’s books but would hope that the plot goes deeper and more is left for the reader to figure out.
Started here and read the series through
Was not a book I wanted to keep reading. I went for longer periods before I picked it up again and continued.
Good book. Enjoyed the story.
I thought it was awesome and had CV to buy the rest of the series. Loved it.
This book held my interest. I never would have guessed the ending.
I liked the setting of this book. Reading a book that is set somewhere I’ve lived or visited helps me make a connection to the characters and story.
barely adequate
A very unique mystery from C.J. Carmichael. I couldn’t put it down when I started reading it.
Zac is a dispatcher at the sheriff’s department. He answers the 911 calls, gives them to the officers and then he processes and takes care of alot of the paperwork for them so he is the communications hub and pretty much the center of the department. Has his hands in everything so to speak.
When there is a murder in town he gets together with his high school friend Tiffany and together they solve the crime.
An interesting story that I think you will enjoy.
I couldn’t get into it
Wasn’t too happy with this book for one main reason. Jumped into the main story line too quickly. No chance to know a main character named Tiff who has been gone for years then suddenly comes back home with no advance notice after losing her job and her boyfriend. Too suddenly she has an opinion on everything happening at her mothers Christmas ranch and in the town. I’d give this a 2 star.
Read the entire series….well written w/o too much filler. Moves along quickly
Great for late night reading. Mystery but not too heavy.
Great mystery that was not predictable & kept me interested the whole time!
I’m a former dispatcher, so I was drawn to this book when I saw the main character is a dispatcher. However, after getting into the book, he seems to lose his place as the main character and just kinda fades away into the background (kind of like a dispatcher). Decent book with an interesting twist-ending. Still debating on whether I’ll read the next books in the series.
