These are always so quick to read and I want more when I’m done. I love reading about Clemeny and what she’s up to next. So my heart wants her to be with Lionheart and I hope they end up together in the end but I am okay too if she ends up with Edwin. I would highly suggest reading the first 3 books before you read this one. This is a great series and I look forward to the next book.
Melanie Karsak has given us another Clemeny Louvel tale. I am definitely a fan of her books. She has built a steampunk England that is intriguing and enticing (I’d love to visit it.). She has put characters and stories into play that are entertaining and action packed. The characters are witty and snarky and add dimension to the story. Werewolves in London? Absolutely. Templar wolves? Yes. Ms. Karsak’s books are very enjoyable. I recommend you read them yourself so you can enjoy a well written story.
What do you get when you put a strong women like Clemeny against a she-wolf in a game of vengeance and action? My favorite story in this series! I loved this fourth story in the retelling of red riding hood.
Clemeny is is such a strong and wonderful character. This author has built her to be bold and dedicated, yet action oriented and willing to learn. I cannot get enough of her and love when she lets me into her mind. I am a lover of Lionheart and what what is best for him, which I wholeheartedly believe is Clemeny. I like Edwin, but I will always root for Lionheart.
The she-wolf is the ultimate enemy and was just a wonder to read. I loved the plot of this story and the interaction of Clemeny and the wolf. The action was amazing and the lines were so memorable.
This story is filled with action and life. I love this story because when you start reading it, you become so involved in the world that you feel like you are there and are part of the action. I cannot get enough of this series and this author and I highly recommend them to everyone.
This can be read as a standalone but is ultimately more enjoyable when you have read the series from the beginning. I received an ARC and am leaving an honest review.
I absolutely love this book and can hardly wait to read the next book in this series! You’ll be glad you got this book, I certainly am!
Life is going pretty good for Clemeny, she still does not have a partner yet but she has at least made a few steps forward with Edwin. Finally. So all is looking up until Alodie begins seeking revenge. Clemeny introduces Edwin to Quinn, which is a big step for her!
This is book 4 of this series and I am loving how it is progressing, I love that these are novellas because when I start reading them I never want to put them down. The author is wonderful at building this world and I love all the books that are within it. If you have Kindle Unlimited go and grab these books you will not regret it. Wolves and Daggers is FREE right now on Amazon so you have nothing to lose.
If you have read this book…What is up with that ending? What is Lionheart thinking? What is his motive? What does he know?
I really need to read the next book!
This one had some great twists! And Nooooo’s! And a few really’s. But I really NEED to know if Melanie is going to mess with my happy little ship! RedHunt all the way! Such a great series!
This book was great! As were all the books in this series!! Such a unique retelling of Little Red Riding Hood! This was my first steampunk series that I have read, and it has me hooked!
KICK ‘EM LOW!!!
Talk about in the soup. This is one page turning, suspense filled and explosive read that just keep on keeping on. This is one series that is more of an investment than anything else. You’ll find yourself reading it again and again. Yes, its that good and just gets better as it progresses. Melanie has such an incredible gift of weaving words and telling stories with such passion you can’t help but fall deeply into the web of her imagination as she brings these worlds to life flawlessly and without a crease. The characters are intriguing, complex and realistic. Their personalities played off one another and are well balanced. The scenes vividly detailed it paints one interesting backdrop that brings layer after layer. A strong storyline with twists and turns that are ever changing and holds your attention until the last word. Another amazing job Melanie, thanks for sharing this remarkable read with us.
4 stars – It was really good
For Agent Clemeny’s newest mission, she is tracking down an old werewolf threat to determine what they are up to. This mission ends up taking her all over London to fight against werewolves, vampires, and demons.
This was another action packed mission but also a very emotional one. Clemeny has started developing feelings for Agent Edwin Hunter but their relationship is still hidden from the rest of the Red Capes. With the new werewolf threat, Sir Richard Lionheart is needed to contain it, which means facing her feelings for him again. I usually hate any kind of love triangle but this one I am actually ok with because she isn’t trying to pit these two men against each other. She is just trying to figure out what she wants for her future.
In this book we get to see more of Agent Hunter’s skills against demons and it was fascinating. We also get to spend some time with Agent Briarwood and the vampires she hunts. I wasn’t expecting a vampire hunt during this book but I enjoyed it, even if it was surprisingly messy. I really want to learn more about her story and hope Karsak will write at least one book about her in the future.
Overall, this was another fascinating adventure for Clemeny. I do hope she figures out her relationship soon though because like I said, I don’t like love triangles really.
